E3 2018 starts on June 12th, which is only about 3,5 months away. While that's still somewhat in the future, any experienced E3 witness knows that rumors about planned announcements are just around the corner. In order to have more interesting predictions that aren't all repeats of popular insiders, let's do this NOW. Also because these threads are always fun to read and debate, and we can make good use of more gaming-related threads
So: What are your predictions for this year's E3 event in LA? Tell us what kind of announcements you think/wish/hope/fear might take place.

My first bunch of predictions (focusing on Nintendo for the moment):
Likely:
- Fire Emblem Switch is fully revealed. Will feature online- and local multiplayer PvP missions with at least up to 4 players simultaneously, teaming up possible, too.
- Smash Bros Switch is revealed. Nintendo's big online-game for the online service that launches later this year. Playable Ridley or no sale.
- RetroStudios' game is revealed, too. It has to. At this point it doesn't matter what it is, but if Retro still doesn't show up, I'll consider them gone forever. Since I pray to god that they're not doing another 2d-game, I hope we'll see some gorgeous, complex 3d-title. I'd even be okay with a Donkey Kong-game. Combine the climb-everything from BotW with Odyssey's agility, give DK its first open world, centered in a lush jungle full of charismatic characters, and it's a winner. I'd take some new shooter IP (or Perfect Dark-revival, if MS allowed it) or WRPG, too, though.
- Call of Duty on Switch this year, big 3rd party title for Switch' online-system
Wishful:
- First trailer of Solatorobo-sequel Fugue
- Metroid Prime 4 is revealed to be Metroid 5. A week later, Ridley Scott finally announces Alien 5 with Sigourney Weaver taking up her role as Ripley one last time.
- MonolithSoft reveals their grand medieval open-world action-rpg. Combines BotW's level of interaction with a more involved story. Has big emphasis on cooperative online-/local multiplayer, basically Nintendo's own, improved Monster Hunter.
Megaton:
- That's how I actually got motivated to make this thread: I'm not really sure about this or anything, however, yesterday while I was lying in bed, resting myself from a cold, I just had this strange feeling how it'd feel so right for Reggie or Koizumi to suddenly pull out a new device from under their jacket: a Switch-revision!
Now, I'm of the opinion that you cannot improve the Switch as is significantly until Nvidia comes up with a new handheld-chip. We're not there yet. So my prediction is that Nintendo will announce the Switch Go and the Switch Home. The former is a handheld-only Switch (smaller and less weight, fixed control elements, allowing a much thinner bezel). The latter is a home console-only Switch (maybe with additional power for 4k/higher settings). The special feature, however, will be that the Switch Go has Wii U-like streaming capabilities. That means if you have both Go and Home, you no longer need to use the stand to connect your Switch, it's now all wireless. With a button press, you can switch(tm) between handheld or tv-mode. This would also allow for proper Wii U-backwards compatibility in case of the VC finally returning. Owners of the original Switch can buy a toggle that is attached to the current stand and also enable wireless streaming.
Now, I'm less sure about the home-variant, but a handheld-only Switch just sounds right imo.
And that's it. Looking forward to everyone's predictions!
