E3 2018 Konami Willing to Make More Remasters

Konami has said that it is willing to remaster more games if fans ask for them.
During an IGN interview at E3 about Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner Mars, Konami brand manager Benjamin Kinney express the company’s willingness for more remasters:
“Eventually if you’re loud enough and you speak with one voice, anything is possible.”
Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner Mars is a remastered version of the PlayStation 2 game featuring an all new VR mode coming to PC and PlayStation 4. The title was initially announced at Sony’s Tokyo Games Show in 2017.
The remaster will come native at 4K with redone texture, updated particle effects, new control schemes, to name a few of the many improvements across the game. The game also includes an all new Very Easy mode so players can experience the story.
The most notable improvement is the VR support. Playing Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner Mars in VR will put the gamer in the cockpit of Jehuty, the character’s giant mecha. Konami has recreated the cut scenes and assets to create a immersive situation. The developers have worked with first party VR companies such as PlayStation VR and HTC Vive to refine the game making it as smooth as possible to reduce any chance of motion sickness.
Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner Mars has a gallery mode with VR where users can tumble and look at various models in game. The game will have “next gen audio,” supporting Dolby Atmos and Dolby 7.1 surround sound.
The first game has not been remastered for the PlayStation 4 nor VR, but if the fans ask for it, Konami may listen.
4K and VR demos are available on the PlayStation Store to download.

Remasters/remakes? Not sure if Konami is acutely conscious of the modern lexicon. I’d get behind the idea of either we’re it not for Konami’s involvement.

Highest quality remakes like Resident Evil 2? Bring it on. Otherwise GTFO. Srsly, when bar is raised so high by Capcom (who would've thought), I can't see a place for higher resolution/sharper textures shit in the market anymore.

Came here asking for proper Silent Hill remasters, see that I'm already covered.

Give me that please. Sooner rather than later.

Truth be told, I'm not that concerned about the quality of the ports. As long as we have Silent Hill on Steam, that's more than enough for me, especially since the original copies are expensive as nuts.

The PS3 is still the only console where you can play every MGS game released. Perhaps that will change with this announcement.

I thought this until I saw how terrible ports could be (Saints Rom 4, Prototype collection). Trust me you care when you play a bad one.

You realize that they did remastered Silent Hill and it's shit. If I recall, they lost the original code, so the guys that did the remaster had to work in the dark.
Yeah I own the piece of shit, but one wish they do a better job this time around like they've done with Zone of the Enders
Ideally I'd like MGS1-4 remastered, even if MGS1 is just an HD version with improved textures and AA

I'd like a remake of mgs1-4 or a remaster of the newer ones and a strung together tv/movie version just because I like the idea of movie and tv show versions of games.

MGS HD Collection for the current consoles would be awesome. MGS4 too. They could get Bluepoint Games to do it.

Konami probably profited off their casino games and they can only muster up the confidence to promise ports from their legacy collection.

It would be great if they'd just sit down with the right people before making any decisions.

Are they still going to display "A Hideo Kojima Game" in the introductions? Will they have to even if they don't like it? I'm curious to see how they approach that, and it may matter for future MGS remasters.

Silent Hill 1-4, including the additional titles such as Origins and Downpour on Steam = Day 1 purchase.

No lies, if they can do it justice this time (fixing the fog/lighting/sound issues), then I would be willing to pay 100+ dollars for the first 4 games. I still think they are fantastic, including the often hated 4. Hell, Downpour was even good. The only two of the franchise I didn't like were homecoming and origins.

Would love a collection of all the 2D Castlevania-games, from the first one on the NES to the ones on DS and Advance such as Order of Ecclesia, Aria of Sorrow and Circle of the Moon. I haven´t played a 2D Castlevania since Symphony of the Night so it would be nice to catch up. Heck, I´d even take a full blown remake on the shitty N64-games that somehow made it past QA for some unknown reason. But Konami is gonna Konami so I won´t hold my breath for such a thing.

If they can't remaster Silent Hill 2-3 then at least just port the shit to PC already so I can play it. I'd be fine with 60fps and widescreen, outside of that just leave the game alone.

Silent Hill remasters and not the shitty one we got a few years back need to happen. Also Castlevania since the Netflix series has done so well.

And for the love of God, give us Contra. No one wants Super C. Hell Contra 5 would be awesome on the eShop, let WayForward do it again

Capcom always go for high graphics and bar raise when have condition and money to do it.

I can remember when forum dwellers were saying "I'd love a co-op shooter using Fox engine", or "make a zombie survival game using engine" .. Survive announced and the internet collectively self-immolates in protest.

Konami could totally remake MGS:1-4 and people would still find a reason to complain.

Not sure if Konami is acutely conscious of the modern lexicon. I’d get behind the idea of either we’re it not for Konami’s involvement.

Basically this. Wants Konami remaster/doesn't want Konami remaster in same sentence. Also I have no idea what these sentences actually mean either..

Get M2 on NES/Famicom ports, and give all regions the multi-regional goods (a la the Sega Ages 2500 Phantasy Star Collection).

At least Tomm Hulett is no longer with Konami. He was responsible for the worst decisions made on that abortion HD collection.

Need a suikoden collection, I don’t care if it’s digital only. Port with remastered textures and updated sound.

This so much. It's been about ten years and still that hasn't become standard on compilations. Mega man legacy collection on switch (I don't remember the change game language option on ps4, my apologies if I just missed it) came SO close but the lack of Saturn mm8 and mega man and bass made it come up JUUUUUST short.

I simply want a port of goemon 64
This right here is the game that truly deserves a no-holds-barred remake in the fox engine. I want to see what the I Am Impact music video would look like if it was made with cutting-edge modern tech.

MGS4 really needs a remaster. It could be a big task but somone could do it. I'm sure it would sell well because there are people who haven't played it and people who would buy it again. The original has framerate problems during the gameplay and cutscenes.
