Yep. The only thing I miss from over there is game OTs. There aren’t very many here that get much activity. For whatever reason chatting about the game(s) you’re playing just isn’t a big thing here since the split.
But it’s not worth dealing with all the other trash on Era for those threads and I’ve largely just accepted nit chatting much about what I’m playing anymore beyond bumping the “What game are you currently playing?” thread.

Yea I find there's more of a general air of games here. I think folks here have much more stuff going on in their real life so dont have the energy and persistence to play along and also write about the game. It's catch 22 really. I enjoy discussing the game and getting help but sometimes it might take a little while longer here but at least it's more personal and direct. Sometimes I'd post on old GAF a question in a thread and unless you were a 'prominent member' it didn't get answered or a second glance. Coupled with actual real subreddits and dev forums now and OT's are just an exorcism of the hype to release.
Regarding the acitivity, they have at least as many trolls cross posting across sites trying to outdo each other on the woke topic of the week. It's actually a meta game, then you have others playing long games and infiltrating admins and mod discords etc. I mean, the owner won't give a shit as long as they're making bank. That himbo thread is ridiculous, what's worse is....

It's incredibly contradictory but i think it is something adopted from American culture. American culture has always been a weird mixture of promoting personal freedom and puritan roots which usually clash. So this new left basically adopted it for their own purposes. They think themselves as secular but they're extremely religious and puritanical.

Regarding the Community thread you bumped, keep in mind those old threads don't have existing subscriptions anymore since we migrated to XF. Mostly they just need to be cleared out and rebooted with new threads and given some exposure again. We'll get on that soon.

Every few weeks, our math teacher had to grade notebooks, which took him some time going through each of them. Each time he did this, he put Predator on VHS. We had to watch it quietly while he was grading. Thinking back, I wonder if he had some kind of agenda to make us watch it.
