What is also interesting is the fact that Skill Up is ordinarily a "problematic" and "cancelled" youtube channel, any posts containing his content usually get edited out by moderators. However since his review of Gears is glowing let's allow it and let people discuss it in the review thread.
People also got banned in the review thread for the most innocuous shit just because they weren't all aboard the hype train.
Like someone mentioned earlier in the thread the selective corporate shilling and astroturfing that goes on there is fucking transparent.

As time goes on it becomes more and more blatant that Isamu Fukui (AKA Cerium) the owner of Restetera only set it up in order to flip it to some corporation for a 6 figure sum that was offered to Gaf one time. Getting rid of any users that are remotely not investor/advertiser friendly and filling it up with "Progressives". Except those running it and modding have not been told and the users think they are making a utopia on the internet for minorities and LBQTA. Meanwhile, the wheels are fucking falling off/ The normies are getting run off the forum, pedo Era, Egging on a suicide, mobbing and then celebrating another suicide, blatant hypocrisy and generally hated on the internet by anyone that isn't a journo making clickbait articles especially designed to be shared by the users of Reset era.

So yeah, they literally get paid from the companies they cover.

So it looks like Shinobi is catching some heat for doing something with Escapist. Lot of complaints about Gamergate and whatnot, but there's some pushback stating that the site has changed and all that. Which is true, Escapist has shifted closer to Era as far as politics go over the last few months when they're not being apolitical.
That being said, there are still people there that absolutely would NOT pass Era's purity test. Yahtzee for one, who from their perspective has "both-sided gamergate" and never actually "apologized" for that stance. And that's to say nothing of the people he regularly associates with like the Penny Arcade guys or some edgelords over at Destructoid, who would also not pass Era's purity test.
So any hyper progressives triggered by everything that for some masochistic reason read this thread, maybe inform the rest of that thread that their admin is working for what is still basically a gamergate cesspool.
