I'm not even sure that I believe this yet.

What could've possibly happened in under a month that made them sure they would need to change the date? Even if something like this did come up, I feel like they would wait until Decemberish to announce the delay so it didn't seem like they had no idea what the hell they were doing announcing the date in the first place.

If it needs time it needs time, but if this is true then WTF Sony? Whatever, if it really is delayed then I'm gonna wait for PS5. By the time its on sale it'll be a few months until next gen.

Honestly though, I am already at the point where I won't be buying many more, if any games before next gen. I've got a few SP games that I have yet to start from this gen, and still play a couple games that keep me too busy to even touch those.

Man this will be the longest transition into the new gen ever.
I remember all the bitching that it took 7 years from ps3 to ps4 and experts said that was a one off.
And look now again a 7 year cycle only this time with almost fuck all games.
I am certain ff7 will be delayed there will be no sushimi till 2021 and the last of us will turn out to be an average game cuz what i saw so far did not interest me at all.
This game lacks soul and personality . At least the first one had some sort of father teenage daughter dynamic i can relate too but this is what about?
I buy it but i can tell i will torture myself through it like i did with uncharted 4 boy what a garbage that was.
Days gone was my zombie game of the year and i rather have part 2 of that than this forgoten relic they try to bring back from the dead with the most unlikable characters ever.

Why don't you ask the guy that said Cyberpunk will hurt TLoU 2's sales.

Well, it wasn't exactly meant as TLOU in general, but just people who claim one or the other.

AFAIK they aren't the same type of game, so I don't really see how the one could kill the other sale wise

What's all this talk of cyberpunk, people are talking like cyberpunk is a guaranteed commercial success or that it will be a guaranteed critical darling.... Have people learnt nothing from overhyped new IP's this gen? Anthem, Evolve etc... There's no precedence for cyberpunk's success, it can flop on both reviews and sales.... At least Lou has a audience already, they've already played the first game...

They are doing this to bundle in the MP and SP in one package.
I was thinking that too, but after Druckmann's message, maybe not.... They expanded LOU 2 so much, they underestimated the amount of time they would need to polish the SP, so they are now taking the time to QA and polish this game to level 11......

pretty sure they knew the release date was not feb when they announced it to be feb. delaying games nowdays is basically manufacturing news. its an advertisement. they purposely give wrong release date initially.

I'll care about LoU2 when the MP game comes out. The first one was a complete bore in SP outside of the story and some lore elements out in the world, which was actually only one or two things.

What could be taking so long though without any MP?

Yeah i'm gonna wait months or almost a year to play one the most hyped game of the gen on ps5...

If this launches end of May as they now claim, at most it would be 5 months, and probably closer to 4.25 to 4.5 months until you can play it on PS5. Unless, of course, Sony says don't bother having the PS5 version at launch, and please make sure the PS4 versions don't work on PS5 too. Which are not likely.
