Oh, well, I don't personally make those types of videos honestly - that's not really my bread and butter. I prefer to wait and discuss actual confirmed details whenever possible though sometimes there's no choice but to discuss that stuff.

OK, cool. I seriously hope we get some actual legit info on PS5 soon as the wait is driving me nuts. :\

Well, what was your takeaway from the most AMD presentation?

OK who started the RDNA3 PS5 rumour? I'd slap crazy Xbox people for doing it, I'll slap you too!

Me and thelastword brought up RDNA 3 because it's not entirely beyond the realms of possibility. We had a feature or two from Vega inside PS4 Pro in 2016, nearly a year before Vega GPUs launched in 2017 on PC. We'll have RDNA 2 PC GPUs and inside consoles this year and RDNA 3 likely comes late next year. It was just a speculation on my part that maybe PS5 with RDNA 2 COULD borrow some feature(s) from RDNA 3. No one said PS5 would be fully RDNA 3.

Last time I was worried about TFs and RAM sizes was never -> as soon as I got both consoles I forgot their specs and actually started enjoying games.
I mean I remember myself worrying about that stuff before I bought them and I remember it was because I could buy one and the other had to wait. And I know I will get PS5 first anyway no matter what, not because of specs or anything but in my country they are always available the first and Xbox later on.
So I literally do not give a flying fuck about their specs anymore, I just want to learn more about the games and want some leaks about them already like yesterday.

The only truth and fact is that we know nothing concrete about the ps5 aside from what Sony revealed on the wired interview, all we know is that it has hardware based raytracing and a fast ssd, everything else is pure speculation.

This is definitely a fair speculation, for both platforms.

It happened with the original Xbox, the 360, and with the PS4/Pro.

there have been several rumors that we have dismissed as unrealistic over the years.

April 2018 - Project Epsilon slides. first time we heard 14 tflops, ssd.
Leak was dismissed because it had several spelling errors and no one thought ssd and 14 tflops was possible.

December 2018 - Pastebin leak. mentioned ray tracing, ssd and 14 tflops.
Leak was dismissed because it also said GTA6 was a one month ps5 exclusive and because it was pastebin.

Most recently an ex-ubisoft developer who goes by Brittney said the last ps5 devkit is 14 tflops.

remember, up until may 2019, we all thought the ps5 was going to be gcn. so 14 tflops were gcn tflops until rdna announcement. most people went to 12 tflops after that, but after the oberon 2.0 ghz leak, 14 tflops came back into the equation with the thinking being that sony was on 7nm+, rdna 2.0 and hbm allowing them to increase clocks that high.

36 cus would make the ps5 chip even smaller than the pro. narrow and fast is likely possible, but pretty much everyone who believed in 14 tflops assumed sony would go wide and slow and only increased clocks because they were able to. not because they were reacting to MS being 12 tflops.
Wow, cause those that I follow on twitter have very credible data (with proof) stating otherwise. We shall see. It will be very interesting if that comes out more powerful with MS already claiming the "most powerful console" Hmmm.

This is worse, average people discussing tech that they really don't understand the workings of, and misusing information to make their toy the winner.

The SNES VS. Genesis thing was different, Genesis was clearly better it had blast processing.

Well, SNES had more colors to display at the same time. :p

I mean, an RDNA 2.5 hybrid architecture with some features from RDNA 3 doesn’t seem too far-fetched. That’s IF RDNA 3 comes out next year and not in like late 2022 or even 2023.
