Seems like a gamers win to me. I'll have a console more powerful than my PC, and way more powerful than the PS4 when it came out, comparatively. We'll also not have a 30% difference between next gen offerings, which will ensure that 3rd party multiplatform titles are the best they can be. Not buying the XB series X, however this would be a win for real gamers, regardless of their preferred platform.

We need to understand the timing. Is Sony's plan to release on PC their exclusives after few years they came out (in this regard: what about the others? Maybe they are coming) OR the plan is to release exclusives on PC at the end of each generation? Could be both, considering the time frame here.
I would agree with the second plan, while not with the first one. I think a console should have a solid identity for an entire generation, not only for the console itself but for the next ones: if I know titles are coming on other platforms in few years, why bother? Seven years, instead, are another thing entirely.
It could be also related to Decima, or to titles that sold more than 10 milions copies (like Hotizon did), or again a combination of the factors above. It's not easy to say if the driving behind this move is correct or not.

I believe 75" is extremely hard to make, I've seen some TV professionals on youtube discussing that. It's extremely expensive to make one that explains why you won't see one soon if ever? It's like 2-3 years before OLED's disappear from the market. Amazing tech, but microLED would as much and more, near perfect tech. It's funny how LCD's are still solid.

I have ZERO trust in OLED's, and 100000% will get burn-ins withing few months. That test can be thrown in the nearest trash with all due respect.

I’ve worked with some of the best known artists and designers in the field. I currently own and run my own indie studio. Most of my own work colleagues are friends to me and work in various places, including first party studios.

I’ve never claimed to be an insider. That term is for somebody who actually has first hand knowledge. I have regular discussions with people who are, right this second, working with up to date DK revisions.

I post nothing without sending it to Mod of War first.

It's not a matter of consumer first policies truth be told both Sony and MS will end up the same place .
The writing has been on the wall for anyone that really looking at the industry .
All that happening is Sony care more about hardware right now since they need more time to set up stuff and there console still sell a fuck load .
Still make no mistake before next gen is over both Sony and MS games will be every where in some form be it streaming or native and both have the same type of services.

It's not like the guys who had burn-ins were using it as a surfing board, but it's a big matter of long sessions. If you don't do that then I think you'll be fine, as you are now You Scouser!

I've had my C9 since about November, and have zero signs of burn in or any other problems. It has a screensaver that starts after leaving the screen static for about 30 seconds. They've implemented a lot of things in the newer models to pretty much make it impossible to get burn in unless you're watching news channels or playing the same games for hours and hours at a time every day. I think most people would be fine.

I mean I can understand the concern, but I never fully trust people talking about burn-in on youtube. You never know if they bought a display model, open box or whatever. They just won't tell you. More than likely they have 2006 models and doing whatever to experience the issue. LG is also honoring a courtesy repair for any issues with the screen 48 months after purchase. so there's that as well.

I know LG has really lessened the possibility with 7-8 series and beyond. I had a C8 over 2000 hours with 0 burn-in. Now on the C9 and it's running flawless. I think it also comes down to the calibrating settings too. Probably that guy had some vibrant settings running all day long. But anyway, it's unfortunately luck of the draw on the panel. Knock on wood, I'm good so far.

That should be a given. It would be silly to put out 1st party content out on something like PC immediately after release on the Console platform. As with HZD, it looks like 3 years would be enough time for a game to migrate to another platform like PC. So I guess the question is; do you not say 'exclusive' on these games anymore to prevent backlash?
