There’s a little bit of Ubisoft-syndrome going on; reusing mechanics from their other games, like the rope swinging in Uncharted 4. It makes sense though, from an efficiency and business perspective. Overall, a good look at the game. The gameplay itself looks good, if only a minor evolution.

They talk a lot about realism but there is a statistically improbable amount of women in the combat encounters. It stands out like a sore thumb. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a diktat that it must be 50/50 no matter what. No society in those circumstances would endanger the future of humanity (women) without being direly short on men. Men are disposable and less valuable biologically. It’s silly to put the women in danger.

Still waiting on PS5 before I pick it up. if I pick it up.

yes swim and go with boat but only in those places when they come to play, then you move to another place and you dont swim anymore thats how it will work out there as its not open world. seemed like lots action and lots moving around not staying in one place at all, because there is nowere to hide. Could make game shorter because of that i think , if it will be more action and more moving from one area to another not so much exploring , it wont be so long game then. At least it looked from that gameplay

was glad to see still smaller Ellie there remade from first game

Gameplay section at the end looked good.

But that voiceover from Joel though.

"They were going to make a cure... but it would've killed her..."

*sigh*

Yeah that wasn't right but *shrug*

Game is legit though. If you can replay the encounters only like in uc4 then oh man. Gonna be some great clips of them.

I wonder if the difficulty affects listen mode. Humans wont be an issue but I feel dogs will be a 'mare if you just have to kite them.

Right? Retconned.

They maybe, possibly, if they were lucky but haven’t had any success so far gonna make a cure by killing a child without her consent and dismissing, at the threat of violence or death, her caretaker that got her across the entire country.

You ain’t sneaky mother fuckers, I see you.

Ghost could take notes on animations of people shot with arrows though.

Unless Jin was using shotgun shell arrows and I overlooked it.

Look, Ubisoft and anything related to Naughty Dog don't go in the same sentence.

I know I'm a wuss, but that's a bit too much for me. As I grow older, strangely my resistance to violence gets lower and lower.

Techincally it's amazing, and animations are frankly awesome. It's just too much... i don't know... fetished violence. That's clearly what they were going for, and they've absolutely succeeded, but I'm out :messenger_grinning_smiling:

yes because in orginal game that same area i would play a lot longer by my choice. not saying its bad but it will affect how you will play .

and no point to compare this game to open worlds as this is more story based and button pressing at moments to get animations. but more open worlds at some areas are not as good looking as latest AC games , but its fine. its different game.

You're making a lot of assumptions when its set in a world that never existed, but ill play this game:

People throw away the value of "life" and the "future of humanity" in dire circumstances. Have you seen the state of the world now? It's not exactly ideal and everyone, male or female, is pitted against each other. Less and less is there this expectation/assumption (like in the past) that women are fragile and won't fight. You can talk about biology all you want but we're not the same as animals, well, not entirely.

Anyways, the game looks amazing, better than any studio in terms of story telling and animations. Really looking forward to it.

Amazing gameplay, game of the year i bet.

The only fault i could find or wish they added a bit more of an animation to was when she climbs the ladder after lighting the Molotov. I mean she stashes the bottle away while it is still burning. I know its a small thing but its something that i expect naughty dog to of thought of as their work is normally flawless.

Around 18.29

Don't hate me, its just something i saw.

In the first game 20 years has passed after Joel's daughter died at that point even the cure was possible its not gonna do much. The infection already done its damage and the society was destroyed and the infected are dangerous but they are no longer the bigger threat, other people are.

fair observation, I felt like I noticed a couple framerate dips here or there too but maybe just my stream. It’s all good, no biggie
