i saw many things in this gameplay that was saying this is current gen . i will buy it and play it , but im not like some kid hyped trough the roof i can see not best things here and there easily, specially after hrs and hrs playing huge open worlds last months.
Well....I mean its PS4 (current gen) game, were you expecting next gen on PS4 game?
I'm really confused at what people find so amazing about this, I don't see what's incredible or revolutionary.
It feels like it's just the usual exlusive hype and such, I'm sure if this game wasn't an exclusive it would be a lot less praised, it doesn't make sense but it seems to be how things work now.
Is it possible other people like what they saw even if you personally didnt like it?

If you liked the first game this looks great. If you didn't like it then this won't make you a fan but if they changed it too much it would become a different game.

well i said before that this game can be looking very good even better then those first next gen games from not AAA studio , and it will i think, just i dont care for those small games , i think i will do next year only AAA games or will play same old ones.
week before i thought i will get back to U4 means to play it from start and it looked and felt to me just so last gen ... guess all comes to what you played for last months or so .
when i played Division 2 that world is very last of us style kinda so i thought imagine playing last of us in that world walking on those streets and such...
one of best PS3 game last of us ... but time passed and other games come into area and showed what could be done . Time is not same now as was before, wee seen new things new posibillitys. we not blind just jumping on train because other doing so.

You must have some extremely low expectations for next gen then. Especially after seeing the UE5 presentation.

To be fair, a next gen version of this game running at 4k/60fps with effects turned up is still going to be way above average looking. Stuff like the animation blending is state-of-the-art already and thats a focal point of the presentation.

This game seems very similar to the first one. Level design, combat all very similar. It's an evolutionary step over part one, not revolutionary like say God of War was. The graphics even look very similar to part 1 remastered. I'm honestly not very excited for this game and may pick it up down the line when it's half off. If it had multiplayer, now I would probably be buying it day 1 as I was a huge fan of part 1's.

I don't think reviewers will get on the violence too much. Tarantino movies are very violent and they get good reviews. In RDR2 you could literally blow people's heads off with a shotgun and it didn't seem to bother people.
Agreed. And I think they're just looking to ground the melee combat. It'd be brutal as fuck in real life too. Probably far more brutal than what this game is depicting.

I can see some of the opinion pieces on the violence already. That it's too visceral & realistic yadayada... & the poor puppies :messenger_loudly_crying:

Look at the posts on that other forum it’s off the charts I can’t stand posting there or even really reading it.

And I’m one of the people who believes that video game violence is going to need an updated discussion or at least people need to respect and understand the fact that it’s important to consider the impact these hyper violent realistic games will have on younger children.

I’ve never seen a trailer or a gameplay that’s how I’m excited to continue the journey of TLOU .. I know I have been spoiled by a fucker on Twitter BUT I’m gonna play this game and enjoy

There is a difference between liking something, and acting like it's going to be the game of the decade.
I don't mind people saying they like it (although I'm surprised people forgot so quickly about what we learned a month or so about the game), but people acting like it's something so extraordinary while the gameplay video was something very generic is way too much.

The gameplay looks great, seems like an improved version of the first one with bigger areas, more weapons and more options.

I really hope they didn't screw up the story as badly as some of the reactions to the leak make it seem

Well I mean... it's TLOU2.
GOW went through 3 main entries, 1 prequel and 2 handheld games on 3 different consoles and over the course of 2 console gens before they made substantial changes to the formula

Okay, I was comparing part 2 to how I remembered part 1 looking like. I'm wrong. I just went back and watched part 1 remastered gameplay on Youtube and there's a huge generational jump. The gameplay, level design, AI, all look very similar though. It looks like it'll play like an improved version of part 1, not that that's a bad thing.

For me exclusivity has nothing to do with it. It’s that the first game is one of my all-time favorites for both the gameplay and story/characters.

I don’t expect, or even want, revolutionary stuff in sequels to games I loved. I want more of the same with some refinements to combat etc. That’s what we’re getting, so I’m super stoked to play this.

If you enjoyed the original game then yes this looks absolutely exciting, it doesn't matter how much you think the gameplay is "generic". Also would you consider every first person game come out as "generic" gameplay?

Is it me or do the infected look even more disgusting and grotesque? I mean that in a good way as well.

I wish we had one level where Ellie got a hold of a machine gun and we fought a horde like Days Gone.

Game looks fantastic as expected. The violence is brutal all round but I believe it will be justified in context. Even so it will be a tough slog good and bad.

I think I'll wait for the PS5 to play in the best way possible. I can imagine it will be 3-4 years before we see a ND PS5 game unless they pull a TLOU.

cutscenes on engine are not same as pure gameplay scenes. that what got me from previous trailers and now i saw that real some ugly reality at places. but its fine its ps4 game.

Generic is a very low grade term for games from current gen. Every game is generic... no matter the plataform.
Even Sekiro one of the best game I played this gen, the gameplay can be considered "generic"......But that didn't stop me from enjoying the crap out of the game.

but damn burning dogs alive is harsh ... this will give some hard decisions

the yelp he made :(

I can see myself dying so many times just trying to avoid killing the dogs or finding the most humane ways to do it. Until one of those things pins me down and attacks me and then it’s just “get off me hell beast!!” *SHIV*

Burning virtual humans is fine though right?

well yeah who cares about Susan over there. dogs are innocent angels. Susan is the worst.
I am fine with killing 10 000 people in the game but listening to that dog scream when it burnt to death, dammit i hope they have a couple of steaks with some sleeping pills i can chuck at them.

Those sounds were nerve racking.

youre a genius. Naughty dog, make this day one patch please

Yea why isn’t ND rebooting this franchise after 1 successful game? Pre order cancelled.
