I would expect anyone whose lives in poverty to be suffering, not because of their skin color.
A famous basketball player and millionaire like Lebron James, is not more oppressed than a poor White person struggling with a fentanyl addiction.

In regards to these urban areas you speak of, the answer is that it's not just racism alone that causes this. We have many non-white examples who live in the USA that are clearly more educated, have better health and are still richer than the majority white group. A country that was systematically about forced oppression would never allow another successful group to exist. I would implore you to look into the culture of why these non-white groups tend to be very successful or why they have less altercations with the police.


And I think this applies to all groups. There's no proof every White American is happy or you can just look at them and know what their mental state is. But all groups should be happy they live in the USA whose modern institutions clearly enable anyone to rise up provided they do work hard for it.

I'm not looking to continue to have this discussion with you because clearly you will not take the word from someone who is apart of that particular marginalized group. On the other hand I will gladly have you ask any of those other races if they would trade places with a Black man of them same circumstances. If you would look at the US in whole instead of financially you would know that fentanyl addiction is listed as a sickness with programs to help the people addicted however in the 80's until now there is a war on drugs the only difference being is the color of the people and their particular demographic. You will never acknowledge it and I don't expect you to. Tell me how wrong I am based on my life experiences.

I do not deny your personal experiences. You completely have a right to believe in them.

But you must think of it this way: two people exchanging opinions on one subject means no one is right or wrong. Without actual scientific evidence, one person making a claim of oppression easily looks the same as another person who believes no oppression exists at all!

If you want the "factual" answer, and not one that is subject to people's own opinions, then I must tell you, I have been shown proof that says America can have both real cases of racism, but also self-inflicted and cultural issues that result in problems. It is not 100% one or the other. There are people who have been victimized by the system, but there are also people where the system did not cause them to fail. They did it to themselves.

Agreed, it's possible that TLOU 2 and Ghosts could be the best Playstation games even a year from now unless Sony has some big surprises coming. And it's possible some of those surprises got delayed due to Covid and negatively impacting the dev times.

The fact of the matter is that most people in the world couldn't find Minneapolis on a map but we're expected to put life on hold for this because the USA wants to put life on hold for this.

So the outrage starts in the US and then is naturally posted everywhere online and so corporations must show some kind of worldwide acknowledgment of what is basically a local issue. To the extent where worldwide events are cancelled because the company running the event sees an opportunity to make themselves look good.
