All three properly explained what is wrong with the story, why it doesn't work, they provided alternatives that in their opinion worked better. Joe is the only one that openly disliked the game.
Let's look at the reviews that that place likes: Girlfriend Reviews.
The review says nothing that we didn't already know, but it can be summarized like this:
"Here's how you should feel, and if you don't feel that way you have no soul".
Sounds familiar? And I quote:
"If you wish that Abby died at the end you may have finished playing the game with your controller, but lost the game with that naughty dog was playing with your soul"
Imagine being so pretentious, pompous and condescending.
You wanna know what's sad?
If Abby was a man, people who hate her would still hate him. The people defending Abby would
totally not defend him, so it's easy to tell who is full of shit in this particular situation.

Besides all that, I think you need a reality check. This is a problem that goes well beyond the size of the userbase.
They are not harmless.
There are people working in the industry who have accounts there and listen to their horseshit, so don't act like they are not poisonous.
They're way more sinister than you want to believe.
Whenever you dismiss criticism, you're playing into their hands like a complete tool.
"...due to allegations against him.." What? Punishment without even proof? Just based on allegations? What world are we living in?
Allegations over the past decade have been used as nothing but a power grab. Older Neogaf users know exactly what I'm talking about.
That's why someone that has been accused has to sue the accuser into complete ruin, to set a precedent and stop these people from running smear campaigns every time someone wants to criticize something.
