That's in Saudi Arabia, I think. Every country has something somehow different, but a camel per big plate is overwhelming and it's a rare thing even in KSA and it only results massive wasted food or not 100% clean leftovers for the poor. Around 10-15 years now we've mostly shifted to buffets and it's much better to minimize food waste and provide clean food for the poor as weddings have people in hundreds and sometimes thousands depending on if you're socially active/known. It's funny that some tourists come and eat then try to pay thinking it's some kind of a traditional restaurant, of course anyone can come and eat and go during weddings/funerals.
