You make it sound like Xbox+pc is a small market or anything, time to wake up. This is EXACTLY why you pay 7.5 billion but keep waiting for starfield, TES6 and more on PlayStation, I guess. You don't pay 7.5 billion to only release on Xbox and PC. Will be multiplatform until they recoup some of the money.
All signs point to yes.If they are now ms first party, does that now mean all of thier future games are included in gamepass? If so thats huge just for that.
Small enough that it would matter. There is a reason Bethesda originally left PC gamers as 2nd class citizens after Oblivion; the console market was more profitable than PC. And Playstation is now the majority of the home console market. You make it sound like Xbox+pc is a small market or anything, time to wake up. This is EXACTLY why you pay 7.5 billion but keep waiting for starfield, TES6 and more on PlayStation, I guess.
I'd hope they will full exclusive just to see the meltdown...
Why would they jump ship ? Are they Sony fanatics or something ? Apparently every studio that MS has bought thus far has seen employees getting a raise and each studio hiring more people. Bethesda is a pc company first anyway with most of its franchises being pc-centric. Some of the takes here are hilarious.Microsoft just paid 7.5B and this acquisition which made tons of $ from money-hatting games like Elder scrolls and popular IP's ( which is why it cost them so much)
This likely means they will all be moving to gamepass and making Nothing for them until/if enough new users join gamepass. They will need Nintendo and PS users to help support this Acquisition in hopes that enough new users join gamepass that they can slowly make all of the IP's exclusive. If not things will remain as they are for a while.
Microsoft could also use this as an opportunity to force a difference in multi-plat versions and make sure that the S&X version is better then the PS5 version.
So it will be interesting to keep an eye on the employees at Bethesda and see if they start jumping ship.
Bethesda are HUGE on PC, alone. They will stay multiplatform like Minecraft. Going full exclusive will mostly hurt Bethesda, since they won’t sell more on xbox/windows alone....never.
Todd already confirmed they remain multiplaform.
can't imagine bethesda game without Pc Mods
Double Standard that Microsoft themselves enforced. Minecraft would have been a very powerful Xbox exclusive, that fact that it still isn't means something else is happening. So when Sony buys a dev its totally okay for their games to be PS exclusive. MS buys a dev and people are begging for the games to be multiplatform. Nice double standard.
How do you know how much money the Xbox division has ? MS is trying to destroy google, amazon e.t.c before they even enter gaming streaming. MS is trying to build the biggest gaming subscription service. Ms is releasing the most powerful console at the same price with the vastly inferior ps5 so they are interested in gaining marketshare in console gaming. The majority of home console gaming is pc+Xbox+switch +mobile, not PlayStation. Gamepass has just reached 15 million users and that is just the beginning.Small enough that it would matter. There is a reason Bethesda originally left PC gamers as 2nd class citizens after Oblivion; the console market was more profitable than PC. And Playstation is now the majority of the home console market.
Look, this is a toss up. i am not saying multiplat is guaranteed, just that this is an actual option Microsoft could take. Because the amount of money they paid for Bethesda is more money than Xbox division had. Just as was the case with Minecraft. It depends on what Microsoft view as priority... Getting their money back, or grow Xbox?
You still haven't responded to my point about Minecraft. How do you know how much money the Xbox division has ? MS is trying to destroy google, amazon e.t.c before they even enter gaming streaming. Best case scenario, a release of some big titles on the playstation one year after they have been released on gamepass.
I am sure MS will be looking Sony doing stuff like FFXVI and do nothing.

What point ? Minecraft isn’t doom, TES, Fallout just like it isn’t Halo, Gears, Hellblade, Fable, Forza e.t.c Bethesda makes games just like the Xbox division does. There is no point, minecraft is an everygreen title that is completely different to just about anything else on the market. You want to believe that Sony will be paying money hats to secure exclusives and MS will be releasing its biggest titles on the PlayStation , then be my guest, we will see what will happen. People are seriously overestimating the exclusive PlayStation userbase but what’s new ?You still haven't responded to my point about Minecraft.
We will see where the marbles land. But at this point i consider Bethesda's purchase a good thing as the company really needed a shakeup.
Yep, just like what is happening with every studio MS is buying. I bet that MS will hire more people for the Bethesda studios that they bought. Cutting support from playsation means nothing, gaming is changing. If you are going to cut support for other platforms you will normally have staff reductions and you should see people begin to leave to other companies long before they are fired.
Obsidian released the mutliplatform outer worlds and now is making MS ecosystem exclusive games.what happened with Obsidian? I would expect the same with Zenimax
People here saying they shouldn’t be exclusive we’re some of the same people cheerleading a Spider-Man IP exclusive lol.
They will release whatever’s in development for all while the rest stay exclusive. They might release them everywhere while day 1 them on gamepass for Xbox. But then who would want to buy them for ps5? It be cheaper to buy an xss or XSX with gamepass then it would be to buy 4 or 5 of their games on a Ps5/ps4
I'm insulted you'd think I care about Playstation from that post. You make it sound like Xbox+pc is a small market or anything, time to wake up. This is EXACTLY why you pay 7.5 billion but keep waiting for starfield, TES6 and more on PlayStation, I guess.
Worth it for what? pissing contest? Microsoft just spent a lot of money, they are going to want to see a return on investment.By denying PlayStation say, TES6, they could loose potentially 15-20 million unit sales. Anywhere around 500million-1billion usd.
No idea if MS would do that. And if it will be worth it.
They'd be stupid to not have the huge games like Fallout and TES as timed exclusives at the very least, those will move consoles.
What company , Bethesda studios are now a part of the Xbox first party division. Pc, of course everything MS makes gets released on PC, no news there . Switch, of course not a direct competitor , MS will release a title here and there. PlayStation, just wait and see. And lol at talks about Xbox’s division power, The Xbox ecosystem(which includes Xbox consoles, mobile, pc) is one of the biggest projects MS has right now. There's people way above the XBox division's power and influence who aren't going to allow the company to turn down the profits these titles will still generate on PS5, Nintendo, PC, etc.
Basically you'll still see every Fallout/Doom/Elder Scrolls on Playstation for decades to come.
And they will , gamepass subs will explode and the Xbox will gain marketshare in the console market.Worth it for what? pissing contest? Microsoft just spent a lot of money, they are going to want to see a return on investment.
Bethesda are HUGE on PC, alone.
Gamepass wouldn't make back the money spent on Bethesda. And they will , gamepass subs will explode and the Xbox will gain marketshare in the console market.

But yeah MS paid 7.5 billion just to have Bethesda games on gamepass day one while Sony is moneyhatting stuff like FFXVI, I heard the 13 TF ps5 is coming.....
It isn’t my fault that people are in denial and short sighted and can’t see MS’ plans for gaming. O.k, this is my last post , MS bought Bethesda to continue publishing games on PlayStation day one, because.....,the games sell (as if spider man wouldn’t sell on pc+Xbox). Whatever, I am out, many fans can keep daydreaming, it won’t be the first time in recent months anyway.Gamepass wouldn't make back the money spent on Bethesda.
