I mean, is it really a lie that they have a faster gpu\ram\cpu??not everything. Just prioritize what’s important. Being lied to about hardware, power and console exclusivity is more worse than releasing the biggest franchises so that millions can enjoy.Gotta pay the bills too. There will still be plenty of next gen exclusives. That’s just the way it is. It’s not fanboy. That term gets thrown around too much. Meanwhile, in order for x to deliver what they promised they’re gonna have to release a new console.
So what are you doing in this thread? Its almost like the PS5 is just a PS4 PRO+, a crossgen stopgap system and by the time things get serious the PS5 Pro aka the real PS5 will be out
More money for sony I guess seems like a real racket for 500 quid but its nice for the kids and the poors
I live in the adult gaming world with things like displayport and DLSS so its not my problem I suppose
They’re the ones that changed the wording to fastest xbox ever.I mean, is it really a lie that they have a faster gpu\ram\cpu??
or, they told people what they wanted to hear. Again, and again and again.i think the microsoft team onestly believed to have the best machine for multiplatform games and a lot of people believed that.
ah, the tools. The conservative x power over PS5 was 18% overall. At those numbers it should be outperforming it today. Not in a year or 2.also the tools\driver are probably not definite yet, devs have to learn every tricks in these consolles etc.
it was ALL games 2 weeks ago and for the last 6 months.some games are gonna run better on sex in the next 7 years.
Maybe, I wasn't sure since you ignored my followup question about the cable.Yeah, I need the paper sack, even though I have been on the fence with this since I know how these reactionary threads go.
I even said both consoles will probably get updated when they are ready to. It is clear both are not feature complete out of the gate, as it were the gen prior, and the gen prior to that.
If you want to use me as your thesis, find where I pile on Xbox threads like fanatics do to both. I'll wait. Here's a hint, I stay out of them 99% of the time, don't lump me with others.
No Sony had no plans to release Dolby Vision regardless. That isnt relevant to this. The LG C9 isn’t gaining any more benefit than the CX having 40Gbps. If I switch my Xbox Series X to 4k@120hz 444 12bit HDR, in the diagnostic menu it reverts it to 8 bit and plays games at 10bitSo the bandwidth limitation is the reason why ps5 has no dolby vision. Generally speaking 8bit is not hdr, so i am wondering what kind of crappy hdr implementation ps5 has at 4k.
For people hoping for a patch, well this might not be possible. Lg C9 has 48gbps hdmi while lg cx has 40gbps hdmi and this is a hardaware limitation and cannot be changed via a software/firmware update.
My friend told me that her friend definitely has a raging boner right now.Ask your friend does he get a stiffy on when he thinks that's not HDMI 2.1?

I'm the same way with xbox ; i'll believe the performance matches its 12tf's when I see it.
So what are you doing in this thread?
I don't really care about multiplats confrontations, i have a ps5 for exclusives and a pc for multy, i always play the best version of a game, i was just laughing at how M is shitted on even when sony was the biggest liar at the beginning of this gen (not for you because maybe you don't care about crossgen, but we are all different in this world). They’re the ones that changed the wording to fastest xbox ever.

look, this thread is ababout an issue that will be patched. If anyone cares todiscuss each consoles shortcomings vs the other I suggest taking it to the next gen thread. Or any of the multiplat comparison threads.

Yeah because he tried to apply it just to PS5 fans and not Xbox because they are just as much guilty if not more. Waiting is a MS gameYou realize you just proved his point right?
So which one did you/he do? Bash PS5 all day or Praise nintendo for the rest of the day? You can't do both. Would you/he like a Blue Peter badge for your efforts? After bashing the ps5 all day he praised Nintendo for the rest of the day, reminded eveyone to get the new Hyrule Warriors and linked this

Why are you talking sense for? This goes against the console warrior narrativeCovid hurt delayed software development of the PS5 and XSX. PS5 is behind in firmware and XSX is behind in developer tool set, both will be resolved in the near future.
Again spot on.It really isn't "beta". It is Sony being very cautious as they were with all their HDMI consoles. Release with the features of the most stable version (effectively a high bandwidth version of 2.0b for PS5) and add features as they become stable.
Even with the very latest AV amps (that arrived well late with a 2.1 port!) have still released with firmware bugs.
As an aside, do we know the precise make/model of HDMI chipset from Panasonic that is in the AV amps and is it the same one in the consoles?
How do you get this information up?On 2019/2020 OLEDs this is what you should see when it is set to 4k@120hdr. I have my Series X on my 77/55 C9s set with RGB
Dashboard is in SDR 10BIT
Game is HDR along with the PHY showing the bandwidth is locked in.
But why? These are peasant problems so why would it concern you what with your display port and such? Driveby Trolling at it's finestTo see if the chipset is actually limited and after reading the OP and finding out it is I gave my honest opinion on the matter and was no longer in this thread until you commented
Dev tool updates coming soony. Oh let's not forget the exclusives either they will be real soonyThis thread is great. The level of insecurity and projecting is just pure entertainment.

Had this been an Xbox thing, the same trolls would be slinging shit all over it. Its almost like the consoles ain't even out yet considering the fanboys are still on here 24/7.
And VRR?
They have a 48gbps spec in the x900h, and they were hocking that TV alongside the PS5 working closely together with their other divisions. I would be shocked if it weren’t a matching setup.
Clearly you haven’t read or seen others posted on this. Do some research. I am one of the few hear pointing out what you need and get based on bandwidth. You need 48gbps hdmi for 4k@120hz 12bit 4:4:4 chroma. Reagrding the lg diagnostic menu i quote from avsforums: "When the TV is getting a 4:2:2 HDR signal it is always reported as 8-bit even though it is receiving 12-bit. This is a technical limitation of HDMI. The only way to verify what bit-depth you are getting is to use test patterns. It's the same reason why Dolby Vision is reported as SDR. Because the TV doesn't actually "know" what it is getting."
Sony is a gigantic company. I'd be surprised if these two divisions even sat on a Zoom call...let alone be in the same room. Sharing specifications is probably as far as this went.
The x900h push seemed like it was led by product marketing more than anything else.
Does RB6 have a PS5 port, because if it’s the ps4 version, it will cap out at 60
Of course people are on here 24/7. Finding a next console is damn near impossible. This thread is great. The level of insecurity and projecting is just pure entertainment.

My concern is what systems should I tell my friend who owns his own sports/gaming bar to order
when he upgrades his consoles/tvs next year.
I wasn't aware keeping informed with current events and giving my thoughts on the matter was 'trolling'
Nor is reflecting the reality of the situation 'trolling' The PS5 seems like its cutting a lot of corners it sucks

They should to support it so that games don't have to change the output resolution to 1080p/120 just to run a 120fps game in HDR. Same for 8k TVs, your hames will still remder at the same resolution, they are just going to upscale to 8k instead of 4.4k 120hz is a pipe dream. Hell 4k 60 still seems out of reach without scaling.
That’s in the future I presumeIt got an upgrade.
I'm enjoying the MCC at 4k120 and will be enjoying Squadrons at 4k120.4k 120hz is a pipe dream. Hell 4k 60 still seems out of reach without scaling.
Your TVs bandwidth limitation is 18Gbps for HDMI 2.0b.I'm currently using a TCL 55R635 as a 4K monitor, which is a 55" 4K TV with a 120Hz panel. However, it can convey a 120Hz signal at only 1440p and below (with or without HDR enabled); at 4K, it's limited to 60Hz. According to its official specifications, the TV supports Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM); I don't know how to verify when VRR is active, but I do know when ALLM is active because when I start a game on my Xbox One X, it displays a notification that it has activated the TV's game mode.
Anyhow, I'd like to know what I'm missing out on in terms of image quality due to the TV's limited combinations of color formats, color depth, and refresh rate, etc, which I will explain.
When using Windows 10, the default resolution, refresh rate, and color settings in Nvidia Control Panel are as follows:
Resolution: 4k x 2k, 3840 x 2160 (native)
Refresh rate: 60Hz
Desktop Color Depth: 32-bit
Output Color Depth: 8 bits per color
Output Color Format: RGB
Output Dynamic Range: Full
If I want to set the output color depth to 10 bits per color or 12 bits per color, I have to set the output color format to either yCbCr 422 or yCbCr 420, which sets the dynamic range to Limited.
Setting the output color format to yCbCr 444 limits the color depth to 8 bits per color and the dynamic range to Limited.
However, if I lower the refresh rate to 30Hz or lower, I can set the output color depth to 10 bits per color or 12 bits per color in combination with the yCbCr 444 color format or with the RBB color format (Limited or Full).
When I set the resolution to 2560 x 1440, the refresh rate is locked to 120Hz and the default color settings that I listed above are loaded.
Also, whenever I force Windows 10 to output HDR, my TV's HDR mode is activated but the default color settings listed above are maintained, which is puzzling because the default output color depth is 8 bits per color even though HDR is 10 bits per color (or 12 bits per color for Dolby Vision). What's the explanation for this?
I'm personally content with this display despite these limitations; however, I am curious. So, what am I missing out on? What is the maximum bandwidth that my TV's HDMI ports can covey based on this information?
Your TVs bandwidth limitation is 18Gbps for HDMI 2.0b.
The panel display panel can limit your ability even if the HDMI port can support the relative bandwidth. Overall your limitation comes down to those two combinations. VRR is standard with 2.1 and as we know the Xbox One S, X and GPUs with windows 10 support VRR prior to this gen.
Thanks for the reply.
What HDMI standard supports 4:4:4/RGB with 10 bits and 12 bits @ 20.05/20.06Gbps? Would that be HDMI 2.1, since it's more than what HDMI 2.0b is capable of? As for VRR, my TV supports it even though it's HDMI 2.0b. How do I activate it in Windows 10?
He likes ultra high speed.....like his sexual encountersI enjoy it when professionals like Vincent shoot down fud like the ps5 hdmi cable isn't ultra high speed cable
