No one had a problem with a guy that recognize we couldn’t get 10bit 444 for years either until nowThe thing that no one noticed until a guy went through some obscure TV settings will ruin 4K120 gaming on PS5.
No it can do 4k@120 and 8k 30hz. It can’t if it is capped at 32Gbps for RGB 444 4k@120 10bit and 8k@60hz. You need 40.1 out of the 48Gbps for thatUm, is this true? So Sony is lying right in the box?
Wrong. Sony acknowledged the problem and will fix it with a future update. Link to Sony's support page. You picked a very bad example. The Sony XH900 X90H has terrible 120hz performance. The picture is very blury which suggests the TV is nowhere near 48gb bandwidth either. Sony said it will not be fixed. I'm happy I have held off buying both.
Sony is going to use a keyless remote battery part for a Jeep for the fix I don’t know why but the first time I clicked on the link that’s where it sent me to. It worked the second timeWrong. Sony acknowledged the problem and will fix it with a future update. Link to Sony's support page.
It can do 8k 30.Um, is this true? So Sony is lying right in the box?
So they have stated it won't be fixed and now say it will be fixed. Time will tell. I hope they do. This is the TV I wanted.Wrong. Sony acknowledged the problem and will fix it with a future update. Link to Sony's support page.
HDMI 2.1 is 40 gbps or optional 48gbps. But both is specified for HDMI 2.1So PS5's HDMI 2.1 isn't even real 2.1 which is 48gbps?
Wow.
It is an hdmi 2.1 cable. HDMI 2.0b was only 18Gbps so anything above that bandwidth up to 48Gbps is HDMI 2.1HDMI 2.1 is 40 gbps or optional 48gbps. But both is specified for HDMI 2.1
But that explains why the HDMI cable delivered with the PS5 is missing the description for HDMI2.1. It just isn't an HDMI 2.1 cable, but capable to transfer what the PS5 transfers.
But why should they do that? This shouldn't be a big cost difference.
I know 4k 120Hz is not really something we will see often, I really don't know why they than cap the quality while the rest of the system uses the latest tech (Bluetooth, wifi, ...).
I did. Bought the 900h for the PS5 and XsX. Kinda regretting the purchase though, the TV is buggy and I might get a refund and go for something more expensive if Sony doesn't fix it soon. How many people purchased TV's for a PS5? Is it normal to purchase a new TV just for a video game console?
wait isn't 8K support advertised in the box itself? They'll probably fix it later when they add the 8K support as well
Return and get the Q80T or Q90T. The only downside is no Dolby Vision.I did. Bought the 900h for the PS5 and XsX. Kinda regretting the purchase though, the TV is buggy and I might get a refund and go for something more expensive if Sony doesn't fix it soon.
How's that VRR working?Bullshit, as always.
Don't need it, we have less tears and higher framerates....How's that VRR working?
It will be eventually supported or they will face a massive lawsuit for decieving costumers. I’m gonna bet on the first one. How's that VRR working?
You need the 48gb for 8k
"Chipset" limited? Wow, even Vincent couldn't say that wild statement. But for a desperate crowd, this should cheer them up a little until next firmware update.
How's that VRR working?
I think it all comes down the the design philosophy behind both consoles, one has "efficient" 32GB while the other one "brute forced" 40GB/s ;p
Ori and the will of the wispSo what games are running at 4K 120fps then?
Chill mate
I am, hence the joke?
Does RB6 have a PS5 port, because if it’s the ps4 version, it will cap out at 60On PS5 currently?
- COD Cold War
- Rainbow Six Siege
- Dirt 5
Patchstation 5 ;p
Wonder how long will it take for PS5 and XSX to fully mature their firmware/OS features, day by day it's becoming more and more striking how premature this gen's launch is, not just in terms of lackluster launch lineups, but the consoles themselves. I understand that Black Friday and Christmas Eve are just around the corner, but early 2021 should've been the moment of next-gen launch.
Xbox Series X is only 40Gbps. It would also not be considered 2.1 going by your incorrect standard. Wow.So PS5's HDMI 2.1 isn't even real 2.1 which is 48gbps?
Wow.
Right because this can be patched but nothing on the Xbox can be right? Go back to your circle jerk threads if you can't handle the heat.Man, xbox fans are just looking for anything outside the game comparison threads. This is getting sad.
It says 8K and 120fps on the PS5 packaging. They would get sued if the console couldn't output 8K. So at some point that will be updated. The HDMI chip is Panasonic as mentioned by Vincent in the video and is capable of 48Gbps. VRR, 120fps and full HDMI 2.1 are a patch down the line.Link to an official statement from Sony Please?
