also watching the new King thrash video, what is going on at 16.oo min mark with those reflections, that can not be right surely. I mean going by that little segment what kind of sacrifices have been made on the series x. That is a massive amount of detail that is missing?

Again I'm not sure why you can't understand this. The fact that it's missing is just that...a fact. Your conclusion of why it's missing is the fud. Well, it's fud when the video claimed the XSX was missing reflections in some places. If it's a day and night cicle, or something similar, it's also happening in the PS5 and PC versions.

So DF's Eagle eyes has returned in Hitman 3. It could easily see shadows being better on Xbox, but can't see any inconsistencies and worse reflections on Xbox vs PS5. PS5 runs a smooth 60fps, but clearly resolution is more important now when a higher framerate at 120fps in dirt at a lower resolution and effects/settings was preferred.

Watching the video it's quite revelatory that Tom et al says they won't sacrifice resolution for dips through out the flower fields and dips in the 40's through scope etc..., but he had an aneurysm when TLOUR fell briefly to 50fps during the bloated fight.

What is clear is that Xbox struggles with high alpha and distant details, it's not the first game we've seen Xbox struggle with higher draw calls and alpha vs PS5. Better gun flash and smoke effects in COD, struggling to cope with a camera that spans and zooms out encapsulating larger crowds in NBA 2K etc...

Expect a patch giving PS5 a 4k native mode that will drop less vs Xbox in those high alpha scenes, along with the 1800p locked 60fps mode.

Im awaiting other analyses on this as reflection and many other differences were obfuscated in this analysis minus those which favored Xbox, we need a complete picture instead of one that is one side. The title of the video alone is indicative enough. Tom is still surprised PS5 is hitting a solid 60fps after all the face off which came before. We need more data and a keener eye for detail on this one.

True enough, but there is another video below mine that shows the reflections. I highly doubt the S has reflections and the X doesn't. My guess is either a very rare bug, or that youtuber is not being entirely honest. The FPS graph was fake, so who knows?

It can be. Eitherway, if it's a glitch, a day and night cicle or something similar, saying that the XSX version has not raytracing is spreading FUD.

They resent proper replies and argumentations because what we are suggesting may actually come to light and proven in more thorough analyses. So many folks are just here for a win, even if many valid questions and many pieces of Information is being swept under. It's better to gain a face off victory honestly. Xbox is not coping perfectly at 4k, how much headroom does PS5 have, are some Xbox settings lower than PS5?. This is a stealth game, you do use your scopes often, why are people trying to deflect terrible performance there, just as DF and others tried to deflect lower performance in the larger spectrum camera in NBA 2k. The purpose of an analysis is not to hide or butter things up.... Where is the talk about reflections, whilst heightening up shadows which are more subtle in difference in this game over reflections where disparities are more noticeable. These are all valid questions people want to know as opposed to the folk who you quoted who just wants a win, even if they know there are some questionable conclusions, missing information and details, which can be highlighted elsewhere or patched in.

Well PS5 has won like 95% of the faceoffs so far. So when they give PS5 a 4k mode with dips like Xbox in this game, what will you do?

If you value better controller response, PS5 is it, but looking at this analysis and seeing some discrepancies. I'm thinking there is more that has not been discussed yet. I'm sure this game will be patched for people who just want native 4k....Till then performance junkies like Phil et al are better served on PS5.

I am not very technically minded when it comes to hardware or the reasons why something is not working correctly.

But i can see with my own eyes if things have a problem or not, all i want is an honest answer in regards to what i am asking or discussing, instead of the 3 or 4 boy posts that want to attack or insult my character straight of the bat.

I love to have a joke and mess around at times but sometimes a question just wants a simple answer and that is when the truth comes out.

And when the next game does it again better on PS5, you will switch again? Really Other then the 4K res, their are not differences you will notice when you playing ( think you won't even notice the res but ok).

Texture are ultra on both platform. Anyway medium shadow on ps5 has no sense at all if even PS4 pro can handle it.
