Looks like Cyberpunk is returning to the PS Store

Well, they fixed jack shit tho.

That's not really true, is it. They fixed literally thousands of bugs and improved performance on pretty much every platform.

That said, there have been very, VERY few quality of life updates [if any?], so the moment to moment gameplay is basically the exact same as it was when it launched.

anyone expecting them to have completely reworked the game: that's not happened. the game has received loads of patches (https://cyberpunk2077.wiki.fextralife.com/Patch+Notes) and i'd say the game is where it should've been at launch at least in terms of having no major bugs or crashes. performance is probably as good as it's ever gonna get on PS4.

60% of developers are working on new content for the game and 40% on bug fixes. we'll soon likely hear about free DLC which should hopefully add a lot more content and maybe add some gameplay/QoL changes. a potential leak shows they could be called:

Body of Chrome - could be an appearence editor
Rides of the Dark Future - sounds like more cars
The Relic - possibly a mission
Neck Deep - possibly a mission
Night City Expansion - maybe a new map area or more accessible areas in the existing map
Ripperdocs Expansion - new body mods
Bodyshops Expansion - moddable cars?
Gangs of Night City - enhanced gangs and/or new missions

"next gen" update/release will likely happen in a few months. paid expansions look like they've been pushed in to 2022. could be 2 or 3 paid expansions
I hope the DLC fails hard.

Abysmal game and the fucking joke of the generation. I expect these devs will peel off to other projects long before the horses (sorry, cars) can make it from spawn in to despawn without doing something unintentionally hilarious, and waaaay before there's an allusion to a convincing city.

Sony should have kept it off until the "next generation" PS5/Series X patches were live. Cause when those patches hit, gonna crash the game more. /runs far away

The difference is that nobody will buy those games you showed and Cyberpunk was one of the most hyped games of all time. The amount of messages and refund requests that SONY saw itself confronted with was just too much.

Imagine CDProjekt announcing its comeback in the next State of Play or whatever Sony is doing. And maybe the announcement of the next-gen version?

Anyone who is wondering, the game is playable on a base PS4 with the current patch. Cars still control like ass but it actually feels like you're playing a game.

This post is suspect especially in light of recent events.

I know, it just shows how two faced they are when they receive the blowback themselves from the refund requests. I really wouldn't mind if they went back to doing proper quality checks and blocking all games (temporarily or for good) below a certain standard.

Who said they did? I'm just pointing out how you can't demonise people getting a refund which was their right as a customer when CDPR misled, lied and abused the trust of their fanbase.
The person demonized decided to play through the whole game before getting a refund. I think thats an easy criticism to make of anyone.

You didn't read his post did you.

He put his refund request in, then played the game after no contact from Sony over his refund and confusion over whether he would get it or not, once Sony finally granted his refund he had already completed the game.

The game was simultaneously a disappointment and a lot of fun. At least on Series X.

I wanted more, based on all the talking they did, but I had a great time and was addicted for a couple weeks. I drove around town on my motorcycle, looking like Ermac in a trench coat. Good times.

I see the clarification made after the original post. That makes sense. It wasn’t in the original post I read.

I hope I'm wrong then, because despite the backlash the game got at launch, I am really looking forward to playing this game I've kept myself away from anything story related. :)
It's actually really good. I thoroughly enjoyed it on PC and was upset there wasn't more, like an online mode or something, possibly GTA:O style.

For those of you asking about the next gen road map, the last we all heard of it was way back where their illustration showed it in the Q3 range. So if that's accurate, youre looking at July to Sept assuming no delays.

Such a sad situation because I'm pretty sure there's a decent game in amongst all that mess...... Somewhere... if you look really hard, sideways, and squint a bit.

How do you know it isn't a pre-order page for a PS5 version which is going to be listed soon? The next-gen versions are surely getting close, at this stage. Sony may well allow the next gen version as it won't have the performance issues, yet still refuse to allow the PS4 version to return.
Didn't they delay the next gen versions?

The difference is that those games aren't falsely advertising themselves in the same way that cyberpunk did.

You can even watch trailers for games like those and life of a black tiger, you can see exactly what you will end up with.

I'm going to buy it and ask for a refund just to trigger Sony.

Hope they tell you to get stuffed.

I guess I triggered you instead!

And you!

Anyways, I'm joking. I just think Sony has awful customer service, as well as their refund policies being extremely strict and non-consumer friendly. So, yeah, I got a kick out of this whole situation. Good times.

I'm not triggered mate, just baffled at your motives, it doesn't bother me how you waste your days! I hope you enjoy talking to the awful PS Customer Service!
Could have fooled me!

It's all good. Sony triggered me in the first place. That's why this whole situation was cathartic for me. I'm not above it.

Really needed that next-gen update before the push out I feel. I haven't let my GF touch it on PS5 yet I played through on PC and enjoyed it.

Most friends that mention the game, say they really enjoyed it despite the bugs and issues.
So I am really looking forward too it, just got to wait for this upgrade now!

Hopefully not too long!

Hows the game now? I got the steelbook PS4 version for $20, unopened, waiting for the ps5 upgrade. If the game never gets fixed I'll just sell it.

The hyperbole about cyberpunk is too much, I finished the game and it is fantastic, I haven't encounter more bugs than your typical UBI or EA game, actually I had more gamebreaking bugs in whatch dogs legion than Cyberpunk, I guess those game bugs video complications have harmed the game too much..... And people that haven't even played the game judge the final game based on them.....

I'm probably alone, but I'm very interested in CP2077 on PS5, not sure whether to wait for the next-gen patch or to buy it as soon as it is available. Eventually they will continue to correct it, just as other companies have continued to correct their games, such as Battlefront 2, No Man's Sky and Fallout 76. Even The Witcher 3 is a game that required a lot of post launch work.

I played it D1 on a PS4 and I honestly think people are underselling how much of a dumpster fire that game was.

I played nearly all bigger titles on my base PS4. Not one single game performed as badly as Cyberpunk at launch. We are talking about single-digit framerate + not loading textures. It was impossible to drive a car in the city. Or to shoot and actually hit something. This was by far the worst PlayStation Launch of a big game I ever played.

Dear CDP bitches,

This is to notify you that we're now putting your trash game back on PSN. We obviously never cared about quality.

For your sake, we hope you now understand who cuts your checks and if you ever even think about telling customers PSN should issue refunds for your shit games, you'll never get another game approved on Playstation.

Sincerely,

Your overlords at Sony

What time is it?
It is. It's like going to a restaurant, ordering a steak, finishing your meal, then going up to the manager and saying it tasted like shit and you want your money back.

What if the steak was fine but your waiter pissed in your beverage and then fucked your date in a bathroom stall?
