Good luck. Too many licensing hurdles to jump over.Online multiplayer for goldeneye?
It's already not even half tbh, the like/dislike ratio is already in favor of dislikes and the gap is growing by the hoursIt does send a message. It says half the people are happy/satiated with paying an extra $30.
If you think about it, it's less than $5 a month for snes, nes, n64, sega, the dlc and online gaming. The actual problem is not having the monthly option. People don't wanna pay $50 upfront for a service they don't know if they are going to enjoy or what else Nintendo is going to add in the future.
Nintendo Switch online has a $3.99 monthly option, if the expansion pack option had a $5.99-$6.99 monthly option then it would be fair for everyone and not just for Nintendo.

all I'm saying is the marketing would look prettier if people had a choice to not spend $50 right away. Cause $50 yearly is not a lot of money, but we don't even know if is going to be worth it, it ain't worth it right now. Then why not make it $120 a year to play n64 games? I mean, what’s $10 a month?
your post will age like milkEmulators don’t give you an official Bluetooth N64 controller and online multiplayer, though. I’m looking forward to Mario Kart 64 online. /shrugs

I could do with a dozen of those N64 controllers to replace the sticks on my real N64 controllers as the third party reproductions have always been terrible.
I pay £13.99 for twelve months in the UK for Nintendo Online so if I could upgrade with the same type of code it doesn't seem too bad for the content, I'd happily drop the Mega Drive games if possible though we have a couple of the Analogue Mega SGs to play Mega Drive games on.
I don't.you assume that the connection points will be the same and the stick outputs the same values as the original one.
It doesn't matter, it's being brigaded now. This happens with TV shows and movies online all the time to artificially get people to vote in a certain direction by bringing attention to it. It doesn't mean more consumer are now no longer going to get it. If I had kids and you told me I could spend $30 so they could get to play some of my favorite games from my childhood and it would save me having to spend $60 on the latest spongebob game - i will get the NSO expansion pass any day of the week. The votes by a diehard internet mob won't change that. It's already not even half tbh, the like/dislike ratio is already in favor of dislikes and the gap is growing by the hours
I'm not talking about the controllers dying, i'm talking about the fact they work with the Switch N64 games. Once that service is done, what use are the N64 controllers? As for the N64 controller, now you are just being silly (or trying to come up with silly console war bullshit). I still have controllers from freakin' Atari that work fine. Controllers dying is not an issue and any controller is eventually made usable on PC and other platforms thanks to converters.
Prediction
When Switch 2 launches they will only have the $50 option basically needing to pay $50 if you want online play. They would probably add Gameboy and Gameboy Advance in the mix so people don't go up in arms but I definitely can see $50 being a requirement for online play for Switch 2.
I don’t even pay that for Ps plus. I usually pay 30 a year with all the discounts they offer.60-70, they won't stop here.
I saw this shit coming from miles away when they originally started to talk about paid online. Moved to permanent emulation over using the switch.
As far as I understood, the paid DLC for AC is tied to your sub. The moment it lapses, you lose access to that until you either purchase it or renew your sub.so if you get the expansion is the animal crossing DLC permanent or is it effectively a subscription dlc as that would be a new low for mtx bs.
if the expansion pass is a permanent purchase the expansion pass price is okay for people that want the animal crossing dlc and 64/genesis games, but boy they made that a product aimed at a weirdly small niche
hope this one backfires on Nintendo because that is such a stupid price if you don't want the animal crossing dlc
that's something elseAs far as I understood, the paid DLC for AC is tied to your sub. The moment it lapses, you lose access to that until you either purchase it or renew your sub.
I'm interested in the AC pack but not on the other games so I'll get the pack separately and not upgrade my plan. So yeah like MrA said it's a pretty specific demographic. The AC xpac makes this seem more expensive if you aren't interested in the AC xpac.
Oh, sorry my misunderstanding then.I'm not talking about the controllers dying, i'm talking about the fact they work with the Switch N64 games. Once that service is done, what use are the N64 controllers?
It's technically only a 150% price increase.LOL. Hard pass from me, even though I'm a huge Nintendo fan. I have no idea where they are getting that extra 250% increase in price value from. This is ridiculous. The SNES update was free. This should've been too. At the very most I would've accepted a $10 increase. But $30? Don't make me laugh.
At least allow me to just sub to N64 for a cheaper price. Sega's games have 0 value to me.Will Nintendo pull back on the pricing? YouTube has 18k dislikes and only 12k likes as of this writing.
What do you guys think?
Hell no, Nintendo ain’t changing shit
I'd say it's worth it. N64 has a lot of classics. A handful are even timeless classics. But have we heard if there is matchmaking for any of the games like Mario Kart 64? Or is it still we can only play with those on our friends list?Nintendo has balls, I’ll give them that much.
I’ll keep paying $20 a year for NES and SNES it’s a mindless impulse purchase.
There just aren’t any N64 games that could justify another $30 for me personally
I don’t even pay that for Ps plus. I usually pay 30 a year with all the discounts they offer.
