Serious question.
What is the 2022 Xbox exclusive lineup and when do we expect the first 2022 exclusive to release?
The answer(unless I am missing something) is why we are concerned.
I don't know why one timed exclusive being delayed should cast doubt on a console's entire year lineup tbh. Yes a lot of people are looking forward to this game (including myself), but it's just one game.
Can agree that H1 of the year isn't looking too spicy for Xbox 1P or 3P-wise, but there could be other deals lined up that've yet to be revealed. They could also secure more Day 1 GamePass content. I think maybe posting an update for Starfield in Spring with some teaser gameplay would do a lot for them instead of waiting all the way until E3 for that, as it'd convince a lot of doubters the game is on track for that November launch after all.
Any other 1P content scheduled to drop this year like RedFall and Forza Motorsport 8, I'd also suggest they do at least soft gameplay teasers for those pre-E3 as well. It'd be reassuring and if they do it strategically it could knock some shine off of certain PS exclusives set to come out in H1, like GT7. And again, there may be a few other 3P timed exclusives and Day 1 GamePass deals we don't know about yet they could announce.
It's not the best position to be in given something like STALKER 2 in Q1 would've been a great thing to have, but it getting delayed is nowhere near a reason to panic about Xbox's lineup for the rest of the year. That's just overreaction.
You really can't help yourself can you? You realize no one is saying Xbox is doomed right? Microsoft doesn't need you to defend how objectively pitiful their software lineup has been. This delay is out of their hands, but their software lineup isn't. That's on them.
Uh...MS had the highest-rated games of 2021 publisher-wise. You can say those games didn't appeal to you
subjectively, but objectively they have among the highest Metacritic review averages.
Your claim is objectively incorrect.
