And what does it have to do with you arguing with us who game on Xbox about its disappointing lineup?
You said i shouldnt be in this thread. In fact you forgetting the game is also coming to PC just shows your real motives in this thread.

Anyway i try not to argue with people on here anymore so i'm dropping it. You and the others can go back to playing on your Xbox's.

Shall I quote what you been arguing?
It won't be a good look.

So again what do people have to look forward too if they buy a Xbox in next couple months?
Why are you so focused on a short time frame? In April or May or June, what did a PS5 owner have to look forward to? HZD2 in 9 months?

Couple of months = 2 months. TWO months. That's nothing! Knock it off.

You really can't help yourself can you? You realize no one is saying Xbox is doomed right? Microsoft doesn't need you to defend how objectively pitiful their software lineup has been. This delay is out of their hands, but their software lineup isn't. That's on them.
Objectively pitiful? What am I even reading? OBJECTIVELY? Dude, do you know what the word means?

Microsoft was the publisher of the year in 2021. In what world was their software lineup pitiful? Fuck outta here!

Serious question.
What is the 2022 Xbox exclusive lineup and when do we expect the first 2022 exclusive to release?

The answer(unless I am missing something) is why we are concerned.

MS released a ton of good stuff in 2021.

You're not playing that stupid game of cherry picking certain times of a year (gaps in releases) to fit an agenda when it suits you are you?

Concerned....riiiiight. I don't think you are concerned. "Concerned", absolutely, but not concerned.

And here is a serious question to your serious question: Why is it important that a game be exclusive? Why are you so focused on exclusive games?

I could also ask you a serious question: What is the 2022 PS5 exclusive lineup?

My point is that games do not need to be exclusive to be good or compelling. That is just you making stipulations for your console wars.

Funnily enough i never really saw the same people show concern for Sony's fall line up, or lack of it, compared to a couple of bohemuths for Xbox.

But anyway they all 'genuine' Xbox owners it seems so leave them to it.:messenger_smiling_with_eyes:

So you can't answer the question.

Why are you console warring by bringing PS5 up?

This sucks but what can you do? Still expect it to be pretty janky on release.

4-5 months is not short time? And when summer hits what’s their big game? Again unless the buy some kind of big third party title like they did for back 4 blood last year. We have seen nothing of red fall but a cinematic trailer.

January has PC PlayStation titles that people are now talking about. February is forbidden west/sifu. March is mlb the show, GT7, Forspoken in May. Stray, ghostwire are mid-late summer. God of war is slated for September with possible couple week to month delay. But we’ve seen a good chunk of that game. I would have to believe a state of play in next couple months will show case it similar to how they promoted horizon.

There’s also a couple remaster/collections also slated for later this year on top of PSVR2 which has been confirmed to be in full production already by Chinese manufacturing.

Let me ask you another question. Do you own a XSS or XSX? I'm trying to determine why you're concerned...

Can’t say meaningless awards do much for me unfortunately.

Forza and Halo back to back was neat, but both were cross-gen and outside of that it’s been slim pickings. My Series X sits unused for long periods of time because of this. The recent BC drop was excellent but I buy new consoles for new, next-gen only games and Stalker 2 was exactly that. The delay is an absolute dagger with nothing else noteworthy on the horizon. It’s back to more long droughts.

Just leave them to it guys. This is supposed to be a thread about Stalker 2 getting delayed, not how it effects Xbox 2022 line up. Thats what my problem was about.
Let the mods tidy the thread up if need be.

4-5 months is a short term though...

What is Nintendo's big summer game? What is Nintendo's big fall game? What is Sony's big fall game (maybe GOW2?)? Get it?

Sony games on PC mean NOTHING to a PS5 owner. You're trying to give Sony credit for that when it does absolutely nothing for you as a PS5 owner. Unless I missed something where the PC release coincided with additional content added to the PS5 version?

The Show will be on XSX. Probably on Game Pass day one again. The Show is not exclusive. Have you been paying attention?

You talk out of both sides of your mouth. You say we need to wait for a State of Play to get more details on what's upcoming but you don't want to give MS that same benefit? For them to have their announcements. Why is that?

Xbox doesn’t do state of plays. They do a May showcase followed by a E3 show. So up until May where does that leave Xbox? In terms of getting the word out and promoting what’s coming? If the don’t have an event until May like past couple years. How are they advertise games coming out January-May?

Nearly EVERY game is cross gen on the current gen consoles; it's not something that is exclusive to the Xbox Series consoles! As far as I know, Sony has only released 3 PS5 exclusive games since the PS5 released - Returnal, R&C and Demons Souls. Three games in over a year. Everything else has been made available on the PS4. And I don't think Sony has ANY PS5 exclusive games announced for the future. HZD2 is on PS4. GT7 is on PS4. GOW2 is on PS4. So they're not doing much better than MS. We do know that MS has TWO Xbox Series exclusive coming this year in Starfield and Redfall.

You say this stuff is neat (new Forza and new Halo) and excellent (BC) but you still whine about not being able to use your XSX since it is lacking exclusives. So you opted not to play Forza or Halo Infinite because they were also on Xbox One? Even though they're both excellent games they don't meet your standards because they're available on last gen consoles?

They need another gamepass game to fill in for Stalker 2. That was really the only game I was interested in for the first six months.

That shitty Ubisoft game and Crossfire X isn't good enough. Would have been nice to have Tiny Tina's Wonderland, or FF Origin if Sony doesn't have a marketing contract from blocking it. Hell i'd even take Elex 2.

What is the 2022 Xbox exclusive lineup and when do we expect the first 2022 exclusive to release?

The answer(unless I am missing something) is why we are concerned.

I don't know why one timed exclusive being delayed should cast doubt on a console's entire year lineup tbh. Yes a lot of people are looking forward to this game (including myself), but it's just one game.

Can agree that H1 of the year isn't looking too spicy for Xbox 1P or 3P-wise, but there could be other deals lined up that've yet to be revealed. They could also secure more Day 1 GamePass content. I think maybe posting an update for Starfield in Spring with some teaser gameplay would do a lot for them instead of waiting all the way until E3 for that, as it'd convince a lot of doubters the game is on track for that November launch after all.

Any other 1P content scheduled to drop this year like RedFall and Forza Motorsport 8, I'd also suggest they do at least soft gameplay teasers for those pre-E3 as well. It'd be reassuring and if they do it strategically it could knock some shine off of certain PS exclusives set to come out in H1, like GT7. And again, there may be a few other 3P timed exclusives and Day 1 GamePass deals we don't know about yet they could announce.

It's not the best position to be in given something like STALKER 2 in Q1 would've been a great thing to have, but it getting delayed is nowhere near a reason to panic about Xbox's lineup for the rest of the year. That's just overreaction.

You really can't help yourself can you? You realize no one is saying Xbox is doomed right? Microsoft doesn't need you to defend how objectively pitiful their software lineup has been. This delay is out of their hands, but their software lineup isn't. That's on them.

Uh...MS had the highest-rated games of 2021 publisher-wise. You can say those games didn't appeal to you subjectively, but objectively they have among the highest Metacritic review averages.

Your claim is objectively incorrect.

It’s a dlc that became a dedicated game.
Yeah i saw Shroud playing a sponsored stream of it. It doesnt look good. In fact its a bit weird really as its another of these Left4Dead style games yet there are barely any enemies to fight through the levels. You dont get these hordes of enemies you have to take out as a team, its just an odd enemy here, an odd enemy there, it looked boring to be honest.

I was wondering if Extraction was Microsoft's answer to the Stalker 2 delay, but I tend to doubt it. That came together too quickly I would think, but I'm not sure when the Stalker 2 dev would have alerted MS to the delay.

I think Crossfire X could be a huge hit. It has Remedy working on it, doesn't it? So could be a very compelling single player mode. And then I'm sure it has multiplayer too which could be a lot of fun. I've never played any of the Crossfire games, but I hear they're massive in Asia (I think).

Yea right now there’s a lot of them. I want to check out deep rock galactic on PS5 but i need 3 players. And I. Heard GTFO is knarly but crazy hard/crushing and with my job I really don’t want something insanely tense. Which I here it is.

This isn't true ...

Sony got bashed for months at the end of last year for their lack of games and news compared to Xbox.

Now people are bashing Xbox for not having anything in the first half of this year.

People were looking forward to Stalker 2 and now its not coming until the end of this year which sucks. I don't get what exactly your trying to defend. It is what it is ....

Crossfire X's SP mode, IIRC, isn't part of the GamePass package. That's specifically for the MP.

That said I agree it could be a big hit, guess it depends on how good Smilegate's MP is. If that's really good, then it'll drive more people to buy the SP campaign, which is exclusive to Xbox & PC IIRC.

I was looking forward to Stalker 2 too, the orig game is borderline my Top 10 best ever games. But this is a thread about Stalker 2 getting delayed, a game coming to Xbox, PC, and possible PS5 in the future. If people want to concern troll over how it effects Xbox 2022 line up, make another thread and take it there.

Nah the gap is too wide. Part of me thinks it was Ubisoft who came to Microsoft for that. Just looks so shit I don't even believe Ubisoft is confident in it.

Yeah interested to see Remedy's part in the game. Had my fill for multiplayer games for a while though. Played too much of Infinite.

Wrong. Microsoft’s lineup since launch has been objectively lacking. Sorry but Gears DLC, a months late Flight Sim port (that’s heavily compromised), a multiplatform Kickstarter game, and perhaps some other stuff I’m forgetting because they were so unspectacular, just aren’t cutting it. Pretty much the only noteworthy releases thus far are two cross-gen games (Halo and Forza). That’s not enough for most people which is what Microsoft is justifiably getting dragged for. The Stalker 2 delay pretty much takes all the wind out of their sails for 2022 until Starfield drops and that’s a long ways away.

Much rather a delay than have the game run like shit or be plagued with bugs at launch.
Considering that the original game was also delayed a bit and came out unplayable as far as I’m concerned, they’ve really set a very low bar for themselves. Knowing this, knowing the state of AAAIDS game releases these days, and knowing they intended to integrate NFT butt fuckery into this, I’ll have my popcorn ready whenever this game happens to come out.

Regardless if there is an opportunity to address any issues before launch, it would be very foolish not to.
