That video was only meant to be seen if you signed up to thier constellation fan page. After looking at the latest nothingburger Starfield video it’s clear that Microsoft has dropped the ball. They were on fire at the second half of last year, but here I am just like Q1-Q2 last year, grumpy yet again, wondering where the games are. There is no consistency.
I signed up long ago and didn’t see the video and now it was posted as news so I was obviously excited to see new content, like many others it seems. MS can’t keep doing what they’re currently doing all the way til Starfield. Last year they at least had The Medium in Q1 and Gears Tactics in Q2 while having us wait for The Ascent and Flight sim in the summer. What do they have this year? All I hear is wait for E3.That video was only meant to be seen if you signed up to thier constellation fan page.
Getting mad at that is like getting mad at a McDonald's employee video when you don't work there and expected free burgers.

Doesn’t matter, it was still something that got people hyped. I liked the Tunic demo but it’s not enough. MS need to start spreading out their games over the whole year, right now I’m just glad I have other platforms too.The Ascent wasn't published by MS, neither was the Medium.
People need to stop equating "console exclusives" as those are games from them.
I guess Tunic tomorrow, if that's how we are classifying them.
I get your point but Forspoken being 2 years exclusive might as well be counted as a full exclusive. 2 freaking years is a long time and it's not guaranteed to be ported after thatForspoken is a console ex at least 24 months after release date, no forever like Starfield...
Project Athia Will Be a PS5 Console Exclusive for at Least 2 Years - IGN
Project Athia will be a PlayStation 5 console exclusive for at least two years, a new trailer has revealed.www.ign.com
I have too many games to play already. I don't think March could have handled another game.Doesn’t matter, it was still something that got people hyped. I liked the Tunic demo but it’s not enough. Both should have a lot of games, Sony has been quietly beefing up their existing studios. Naughty Dog is up to 580 developers nowMs has about 20 devs which make "big" games, with an average dev time of 4yrs thats 5 big games a year, plus another 5 smaller games a year from other teams.
10 games a year is more then enough.
Also a lot of sonys content is timed 3rd party stuff, not the same as exclusive 1st party stuff.
Zenimax is a big deal for Xbox, Zenimax had there own E3 conferences and a lot of years they had the best show, all that content going only to Xbox ecosystem is a big deal, sony will have to continue to do 3rd party deals to keep up.
Wow.Both should have a lot of games, Sony has been quietly beefing up their existing studios. Naughty Dog is up to 580 developers now
From what we've seen of it I don't think anybody is bothered about Forspoken being a 2 year (lol) timed exclusive for PS5.I get your point but Forspoken being 2 years exclusive might as well be counted as a full exclusive. 2 freaking years is a long time and it's not guaranteed to be ported after that
Yeah I think after that last demo, only list wars care about it.People are just waiting for the ball to start rolling now. The pandemic has done its damage.
From what we've seen of it I don't think anybody is bothered about Forspoken being a 2 year (lol) timed exclusive for PS5.
1 team can primarily work on the main project while the other team can start the concept and early work for the next project, it helps a lot having a bigger studioWow.
They can release so many games now
How many last gen?
How many the gen before?
How much staff back then?
Staff numbers /=/ games released.
I've seen people on here and outside of this site change their tune on Forspoken after the last showing. There's a good number of others anticipating Forspoken as well, just check out the comments in the latest footage on YouTubePeople are just waiting for the ball to start rolling now. The pandemic has done its damage.

Naughty Dog now actually has ~650 employees with ~70 open job positions. They will soon be a ~750-dev studio with 2-3 active projects in development at the same time + providing graphical support (and tech innovation) for the rest of the PlayStation Studios. Both should have a lot of games, Sony has been quietly beefing up their existing studios. Bruh I knew you were right but I had to go check and wow 650 devs with 70 available positions is incredible. I definitely play multiplats too but right now I still use my XSX less than PS5 since the later has received more big games lately and Elden Ring is played on PC.I have too many games to play already. I don't think March could have handled another game.
But I'm sure since you only play platform exclusives the way they are doing it works well for you.
Sony in the spring MS in the fall.
most people don’t give a crap about racing games
they had, and still barely nothing. We here have a different perception of what the reality out there is…I feel like they've been saying this since the XB1 launch.
The problem is, both companies are suffering from this issues, yet people here are only going after 1 company.Doesn’t matter, it was still something that got people hyped. I liked the Tunic demo but it’s not enough. MS need to start spreading out their games over the whole year, right now I’m just glad I have other platforms too.
Arkane were showing off Deathloop way in advance of release though, same with other games they have done.Pretty sure that's just Bethesda being Bethesda.. and continuing to be allowed to "be Bethesda" under the XBox umbrella.
Their publishing arm, their marketing department, their decision makers, etc. are all in tact.
Todd Howard has always been the type to wait a long time to show actual games off.
I've seen this repeated numerous times, despite the fact that insiders are saying Spartacus is mainly going to be merging of PS Plus and Now.There's a reason Sony is trying to build a gamepass like service as well as release their games on PC. It's because Microsoft has been successful doing so. Thankfully Sony far exceeds your levels of intelligence as the offensive arguments your having now will be your defensive measures later. Better take notes and get your fuckin' practice in.
Sony showcased deathloop, not arkane. Sony used the game on alot of their showcases, because of the marketing deal. MS doesnt need that much reaction.Arkane were showing off Deathloop way in advance of release though, same with other games they have done.
I know this is the other studio, but Redfall is meant to be coming out in three months and we've barely seen anything outside of CGI. I'm guessing they don't have a massive amount of confidence in it.
Microsoft has no big first-party releases the first half of this year, and they don't need to market a AAA game three months before its release? Err...OK.Sony showcased deathloop, not arkane. Sony used the game on alot of their showcases, because of the marketing deal. MS doesnt need that much reaction.
Plus there is no sense for releasing the trailer now. ER has the spotlight. It wont mean shit, IF MS releases the trailer now. Once ER chattering dies, we will see the trailer.
They had Stalker 2. It got delayed due to covid, and no the war might cancel that game.Microsoft has no big first-party releases the first half of this year, and they don't need to market a AAA game three months before its release? Err...OK.
Stalker 2 was a three month exclusive. They had Stalker 2. It got delayed due to covid, and no the war might cancel that game.
By that logic, Sony didnt have any game in 2021, aside of mlb, ratchet and returnal, plus GOT upgrade.
Doesnt matter. Sony games last year were timed exclusives.Stalker 2 was a three month exclusive.
And you can't say 'aside of' - those games were actual first-party games that came out as planned, not a timed exclusive that's been pushed back, that's dumb.
Returnal and Ratchet weren't timed exclusives.Doesnt matter. Sony games last year were timed exclusives.
Same thing for MS.
If you want to hold MS on high standard, and criticize them, then do the same thing for Sony.
Who said those were timed exclusives? They were their 1st party games.Returnal and Ratchet weren't timed exclusives.
By that logic, Sony didnt have any game in 2021, aside of mlb, ratchet and returnal, plus GOT upgrade.
And MS will put starfield, FM8, redfall. You cant see anything, because we are in march. 9 months left until this year is done. And this year Sony has put out Horizon and GT7 already, with God of War to come. MS has Redfall which we haven't seen anything of, another Forza, and Starfield which we also have seen anything of.
MS has e3. People are asking for unnecessary stuff. Its always been that way. Sony used to do e3, before they decided to make their own little events.People have regularly asked for more communication from Sony, and the same applies here to MS, but my guess is there are a couple of delays coming.

How can you say that both are suffering? This year alone I’ve already played Lost Legacy, Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 on PS5, could’ve played Sifu too but I opted out because of the difficulty. The problem is, both companies are suffering from this issues, yet people here are only going after 1 company.
MS already had a game ready this April. It was delayed to December this year. And now war happened. So I doubt we will get that.
But people don't care about that news. All they see is Sony releasing their games now, and Xbox have nothing. So they will blame MS for the lack of games, despite them having nothing to do with the delays.
It was stalker 2 on April. Redfall on summer, FM8 around September, Scorn on October and starfield on November. That was their primary schedule.
2021 had low output for Sony. Now MS is experiencing the same. How can you say that both are suffering? This year alone I’ve already played Lost Legacy, Horizon Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 on PS5, could’ve played Sifu too but I opted out because of the difficulty.
Meanwhile on Xbox I’ve played some Mass Effect and went back to AC Odyssey and Valhalla for the cameo content. I plan to play Guardians of the Galaxt though so it’s not all black.
I'm not talking about MS mentioning a AAA per month or anything I'm talking about MS fans pushing these silly ideas. I even quoted them for you so I'm not sure what you're getting at here.
Even per quarter. What AAA studios would pump out a game every quarter to maintain that output. You can maybe maintain it for 2 years if you line them up and are able to do it without delays in release. CoD isn't going to move to spring but MS doesn't have studios pumping out games in short 2-3 year spans. A lot of their AAA studios are pumping out GaaS content for past games and taking upwards of 6-7 yrs before even seeing the need for another release. That's the business model. I mean you are seeing that even with AAA powerhouses like Rockstar. There is a contraction of AAA releases and people are expecting something to change when they are paying a subscription because... because MS doesn't have enough growth? Because people are unsubscribing? It's wishful thinking and idealism. The reality is that there are draughts like the one you're experiencing now on xbox and the AAA games will aim for Christmas as always.
Redfall is slated for June. That's three months awayAnd MS will put starfield, FM8, redfall. You cant see anything, because we are in march. 9 months left until this year is done.
People always jump on another company, when certain company is having a success. I remember clearly, when people were crying about Sony, because MS were pumping out games from august to December. Now its the opposite.
Its either you guys have goldfish memory, or you gamers are acting out of bad faith.
I have too many games to play already. I don't think March could have handled another game.
But I'm sure since you only play platform exclusives the way they are doing it works well for you.
Sony in the spring MS in the fall.
Glad we agreed on that one.Redfall is slated for June. That's three months away
Same for god of war Ragnarök.Forza doesn't have a date.
Welcome to Todd Howard world. You will get used to it.It's unusual for AAA games to have so little information and gameplay footage at this stage, certainly for games not involving Todd Howard.
FH5, Age of empire, Psychoanuts 2, halo infinite.By pumping out games I assume you primarily mean FH5, Flight Sim and Halo? That's better output, but Flight Sim came out in 2020 on PC, and Halo was supposed to come out 12 months earlier too.
It was fh5. They closed it with halo infinite. We are just 2 and half months away from December. That is a long time for your brain.Actually their best game was Psychonauts 2, but since the end of last year it's been barren, and there have been no updates.

I guess Tunic tomorrow (or out already in some parts), if that's how we are classifying them.
Not the guy you asked, but I was playing Kena, Deathloop, Solar Ash, Ghost of Tsushima Iki Island Expansion. All 80 MC games. And 4 exclusive games (in addition to third-party multiplatform games, e.g., GoTG, Vanguard, etc.) in 6 months are more than enough for most people. What were you playing on PS towards the end of last year?
LOL, a very what have you done for me lately take.
The problem is that people are only judging based on 1st party games. Both companies have 3rd party games to cover the empty holes. But people dont care about that.
Did not buy Tribes of Midgard, which was another option.
I don’t know. There was Ratchet and Returnal and FF7RI. Q3-Q4 was definitely worse for PS5 than XSX but there was still Deathloop and Kena. I think the start of 2022 has been particularly bad on XSX so far.2021 had low output for Sony. Now MS is experiencing the same.

Solar Ash? Really? People don't even know what that is. Kena is not a Sony game. And a DLC? LOL, yeah most would agree that's extremely bare bones. Good thing Sony is off to a good start this year! The second half of 2021 for Soyn was baaaaaaadNot the guy you asked, but I was playing Kena, Deathloop, Solar Ash, Ghost of Tsushima Iki Island Expansion. All 80 MC games. Not sure why it matters if a first-party studio made the game or another studio. The end-result is the same: a game that's only available on one console, so you have to have that console to play it.That's just the kind of response I'm talking about. Kena and Deathloop released in September (and aren't even first party). By that logic, those that are complaining about MS's output should just play FH5 and Halo. Was speaking apples to apples, Sony first-party and only Sony first-party.
