Days Gone was also successful in terms of sales but it looks like we not getting another
But we may not be getting another RIGHT NOW cause Bend is working on a new IP.
That doesn't mean we will never get one and I don't see any correlation in regards to sales as Sony has never said anything publicly against that games sales, Sony is the one that congratulated that team sir.
Days Gone's director clarifies comments he made recently about the game's confirmed sales, admitting he's just been estimating.

The former director even goes on to take back statements and tries to guess sales data and makes statements like Sony made it "feel like it was a big disappointment", with zero factual official quote by Sony themselves. So Sony is so disappointed, they now want to fucking spend MORE MONEY on a new IP on a team that made a disappointment?
Sony is sooooooo disspointed at Uncharted 3's sales, we got The Last Of Us, yup same thing (pretends Uncharted 4 didn't come out after)
So sir, how do you know Days Gone 2 won't come out after that new IP?
Resistance Fall Of Man was a new IP, came out in 2006, using this shit logic, Ratchet was a disappointment and Sony won't make another one right? Then here comes 2007 with a PS3 Ratchet game.
same thing for Infamous and by the way
You need to prove that by the way. If you want to make the point, prove it.
InFamous Second Son sales success has been confirmed by former PlayStation Director of Marketing, Tim Kamienski.

I don't see anything about Sony being upset about Second Son being the fastest selling InFamous in series history and the best selling.
They are so mad, they gave them the biggest budget ever to do Ghost Of Tsushima? So Sony is upset at Second Son being the best selling Sucker Punch game at the time is what you are telling me?
So I think its not as cut and dry as you think. Yes, some titles do poorly and you see Sony move on from them, but generally if its based on a team or the game being bad in general, that team doesn't get thanked with more money and a new IP, they end up like Evolution Studios bud.
Not all Sony titles have sequels back to back, we've seen several times where sequels come in between other titles over time.
Be like saying Sony must be disappointed in Spider man sales bro, shit did you see Ratchet announced for PS5? ohhhhh noez, well no more Spiderman /s It reaches to this fucking assumption the sequel MUST come right after to support some success or not. The Last Of Us is literally one of the best selling PS titles in history, would be like saying Uncharted 4 is sign that Sony hates The Last Of Us 1 =)
Maybe, just maybe....they are ok with its sales, thanking Bend by letting them make a more expensive new IP and allow them to move on and grow and revisit that IP at another time.
