Wait until his school find out he play GI in the computer class.
I can't figure out if he's just an idiot kid or if he's taking a dig that even rich people in Shanghai can only get government- provided food right now like spam and eggs since nobody can leave their house to get groceries. Either way, yeesh.

After that bunch of dumbass dancing to summon Ayaka from her banner, IDK what to think.

If the period between the 2.7 Version update and the previous weekly compensation for delayed update is less than a week, the final weekly compensation will be adjusted accordingly.

I hadn't noticed before.

I'm at 74 to a 50/50 pity right now, and I'm all tapped out of gems. I have to decide if I want to flip the coin on Ayaka or hold out for Yelan. I honestly don't think I need either one. But then, Yelan's birthday is 4/20, it might be a sign.

I also have to be careful about the Dendro Archon popping up before I've saved enough...

Dunno why I keep rolling for Ayaka... she doesn't seem that good... but shes just so beautiful.
She actually has extremely high potential for whaled out teams, can hit and sometimes surpass Hu Tao damage levels, especially AoE. But I agree with you, I don't like her gameplay very much. As much as they improved that special dash of hers, it still feels bad to play. I wish there was another button press for it and she also had her regular dash. Her charged attack and near infinite cryo imbue are the only things I liked about her.

What do you have for carry dps?

Been using Ayaka for a few weeks and she can definitely hit hard at C0 without a ton of investment. As mentioned above, her dash can be wonky, but my biggest issue is how easy it is to whiff with her burst when the game decides to aim it at the wrong enemy. Diluc's burst has the same issue, but his only costs 40 energy/12 sec CD vs 80 energy/20 sec CD for Ayaka, although her burst does more damage. Her C2 mitigates this issue, but that's a much bigger investment.

The common fix for that targeting issue is to bring Xingqui or another Hydro user and freeze them. Not only does it help the targeting, but you get more effective hits since the enemy can't move.

Totally true. I'm not a meta guy, but her burst hits like a truck. Fatui that barelly moves when hitted(like the pyro assassin fatui when summoning circle of blades) or just having hydro application during the whole process simply obliterates everything. And I don't have a single constelation on her(recently I pulled a 10 pull 3 times and got nothing).

Ayaka with freeze is neat, mobs can't even avoid her Q, with bosses that don't freeze you need to do some calculation tho but she's awesome for sure.

The starred characters are built up well enough to be carries, except for Miko of course. Diluc is decently built also, but only has 2x Crimson Witch right now. My Xingqiu is C6 also, when considering Yelan.

I figure I can get by with Ganyu just fine for Cryo DPS, but I don't like aim shots very much. And if I roll for Yelan I won't be trying for C2, either.

Not bad, I wouldn't say you need Ayaka, but if you like her playstyle she wouldn't be useless. If you're on the fence, I'd wait to see how Yelan performs in real life. Right now people are saying "roughly equal to Xingqui" but we've seen this story play out countless times already where she's way better upon release after people get to use them a bit. Kaz and "Cryo Amber" Ganyu come to mind.

My prediction is that You'll get drunk and pull for Ayaka in a moment of weakness or the FOMO will get you in the ~30 days extension of her banner and you'll try just because it feels like we haven't had anything exciting to pull for in a while.

Ayaka is fun to play though. She has a complete kit and all of her skills complement each other. The dash can be a bit clunky (and it's rather important for her damage dealing potential) and her CDs are kinda long, but otherwise I really enjoy playing her.

I know me. I'll probably fold late at night and hit pity on Ayaka's banner long before it ends. :messenger_grinning_sweat:

Boy I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel of things left to do in the game. Already did a bunch of completion cleanup including:

  • all characters max friendship
  • all achievements except the 800 swamp garden harvest, the 2000 fishing one, and those damn RNG commission ones for Liyue and Mondstadt (and probably a few hidden ones in that first category that aren't tracked)
  • all recipes owned, every dish mastered, every dish cooked (even the RNG specialties)
  • all archive entries unlocked, at least 1 captured of every animal you can pokeball (surprisingly there's a single brown pigeon that only spawns once a server reset on Timmy's bridge, and if you chase him away he's gone until the next real life day. He was the hardest one to get because he spawns in the middle of the rest of the pigeons and they all fly away after you use a pokeball. It was tough even with Aloy and Sayu in the party)
  • 300+ of every material/ingredient that you can farm
I don't have Gorou, Benny, Xingqiu, Aloy, or Kaeya at 90 yet, so I guess I could do that. Otherwise all my characters are max level and at least 7/7/7 talents. I also still have the male characters' hangouts to do. And if I really get into self-hating mode, I have lots of weapons to get from 80-90 but lack the upgrade stones to do it, but I don't think there's anything I hate more than farming ore in this game. Chasm release has helped quite a bit, since there are more concentrated areas with more ore, but still...

I mapped out the characters I want to 10/10/10 that are currently at 9/9/9, to burn some of these crowns that I've been sitting on. That's where my resin has been going. It takes an absurd number of domain runs to get the purple books needed to go from level 9 talents to level 10. So far I have Eula/Childe at 10/10/10, and Zhongli at 9/10/10. I'm planning on maxing out Yoimiya since I use her so much, Rosaria, and Shenhe. That still leaves me with 3 crowns for an upcoming character (or eventually Amber).

It's funny that I'm a week 1 player (technically day 1 but I rerolled for a few days to get an account that had multiple 5* starting out), I haven't started farming artifacts seriously yet, and I'm still gated by resin constantly. You'd think this far into the game's lifecycle I'd be caught up on resin materials and just throwing it at artifacts. Technically, I have over 150 resin moons though, which I'm saving for a rainy day, so I guess I could make some substantial gains by burning those. I keep hoping that they increase the amount of resin restored by them from 60 to a higher number or a full resin fillup.

That 2000 fish achievement is so insulting considering there is no reason to keep fishing beyond refining the Catch or buying out the fishing rods.

Thanks to the discussion from the other day in this thread, I went back to finish up the sigil keys in Enka that have been sitting in my inventory. That didn't take too long, plus it lead me to a Enka quest (Lotus Eater) that I had missed, so I'll knock that out soon.

I've stopped caring about the RNG commissions. It's frustrating knowing this game has content (albeit limited in length) available that is hidden behind this system. Even when you finally get one, they can be flaky or bugged. For example, I've tried following the guide for the commission series where you leave food offerings at shrines with the kid and it never progresses past the 2nd day.

There is also some irony in the fact this would be a good time to mess around building or redoing things in the Tea Pot, but of course it's unavailable.

Otherwise, motivation is getting harder to come by. I still have the second batch of hangouts to start, but those are not my cup of tea.

Will be a hard time to play this game... Even with compesation we don't deserve.

June~July normally we get game news around E3 time, hope for any news about Project EVE and Granblue. IDK what this game could do anymore. Even living in the teapot are not a solution anymore.

Yea it's a head-scratcher why they don't put weekly renewable rewards in the fish shops like the teapot shop. It'd be cool if each region had one of those expiration date resin moons you could buy with fish. Or maybe regional talent books, weapon materials, or really anything. For as good of a job at MHY does at making new content and new event types, they really don't think about the longevity of any of their stuff past the patch it came out in. The fact that we had that fishing event where we got the blue rod with nothing left to use it on just confuses me.

I had no idea the official map had all of that stuff on it. I still prefer finding stuff through gameplay, but it's great to know that it exists for when I get stumped or tired of searching.

Yea, I just finally got the Mondstadt Fatui quest for the "Equivalent Exchange" quest like a month ago. Still waiting for the 3rd part of that Manga writer's quest in Inazuma currently.

Yea, I really hope they take us off of Teapot lockdown soon. I still have gift sets to craft to get those character related primogems and you can't even see which furniture goes into the set in the game right now because we can't access the "place furniture" menu.

This is one of things that people need to criticize them. The only thing they provide to teapot is tons and tons of stuff to put in it. Problem is, how do you want to people to put more on it when everyone has basically archieve their max load limit?

Do they still have the courage to show that introduction video of teapot?

Yes, it feels like fishing has been abandoned, so I was somewhat surprised to see a couple of spots in the Chasm. Even adding a weekly BP reward would at least make you think about fishing again. The only time I've fished lately was to finish up the Sumeru's guy quest chain in the Chasm. They could have at least added a new or re-skinned fish in that location to motivate you to fish there.

Agreed, I haven't used the map since I prefer to explore as well, but I find Enka a bit of chore to navigate. Between the day/night mechanic, the blue-gray color scheme, and repeating architecture, I don't find it as fun to explore as other regions. Having the map available to speed up the process was appreciated.

I'm 2/3rds of the way through the Mondstadt Cathedral Fatui achievement, but I lost my notes on the answers I gave (it's been ages since I first saw this commission). If I ever get it again, I hope I remember which answer to give :messenger_pensive:

Yes, getting the character furniture set primos would be nice, plus a majority the characters I placed in the tea pot are at max friendship, so it would be nice to swap them out.

I just realized they still haven't fixed Eula's attack animation, even though they acknowledged it back when she released. That kind of pisses me off.

On a side note, I'll probably check out Diablo Immortal next month and see if it's worth a damn.

Pejo

Member
Apparently Eula Mains are too busy looking at her ass to notice the missing animation :messenger_grinning_sweat:
I didn't even realize she had a sword.
Her N1-N2 still doesn't animate, and just does an instant jump.

I just chalked it up to "video games", but yea that was distracting at first. Now I'm mostly concerned with trying to end each kill with the last hit in her combo so she does the hair fluff as they die.

*edit*

After looking at it a few times in slow motion, a backwards clockwise spin would be all they need to add to have it make sense. I hope they don't lengthen the amount of frames/time the animation takes though, when she drops her Burst you want her to attack as fast and frequently as possible to maximize the burst damage.

What'd you expect? That it was gonna be sunshine and rainbows in Sumeru? Of course we, the players, need to solve all the country's problems. Again. And they'll have zero information about our sibling. Again. And they'll send us to Fontaine to repeat the cycle.
At least Sumeru's shitfest sounds like it's happening right now or just started recently according to Liben, and before it was ok. Inazuma was a dump for who knows how many years with civil war/famine/Genshin Chernobyl/cursed ghost island/thunder disaster island/permanent thunderstorm island/Sakoku Decree/Vision Hunt Decree/letting Scaradouche run around like a little prick completely unchecked to do whatever he wants.

When Ei got out of hibernation, you have to wonder why she didn't give Shogun a little piece of her mind for letting her country go to absolute shit.

Depends on your POV I guess. At least they were upfront about Inazuma's situation. We knew things were screwed and the setting allowed for a proper build-up of the story. No one's ever mentioned anything about Sumeru, but now that its release is getting closer a literal nobody suddenly tells us there's a storm a brewin' during a filler event. It's lazy writing. Way lazier than Inazuma IMO.

It does make you wonder how in-depth their plan is for Genshin so far. Like do they just have a basic structure that they want to follow without any of the details? Is the main plot finished and they fill in the nation stuff as they go? Do they have separate teams working on each nation?

They wrote themselves into a few holes in Honkai as it got more popular over time, and you can tell that some of the chapters were made up when they started developing that particular patch. I doubt they'd make those mistakes again with something as big as Genshin, but who knows. I'd imagine there's a certain level of flexibility to incorporate new ideas and things that players liked/disliked.

This war/conflict is getting a bit boring.

Wonder if this is their wetsern-aimed shooter that they briefly discussed when they split off to HoYoVerse...
