Don't worry bud, get the game on PC and the modders will have all that covered ;)

Tho I'll take a moment and say, for as many people who shit on SFV's artstyle, I actually very much liked it. Yeah some of the hands and feet were almost comically swollen, but I can tell they were going with something drawing a lot from the SF3 games visually and SFV seemed about as good as you could get of that with the hardware at the time and in 3D. I do very much like SFVI's style and if the speedy recent improvements on Chun-Li are any indication then I think by the time the game releases it will have a very polished visual style.

However, I do still hope they make the characters a tad bulkier, or add some more muscle definition along the arms, legs, and abs. I think they can do that while still keeping the general aesthetic they're settling on for this new game.
The mods are going to be incredible, especially when BrutalAce gets his hands on the game. I do appreciate SF5 for modeling it’s female roster with far more muscular physiques than most games these days. SFV is also the horniest entry in the series with the countless sexy dlc outfits for Chun Li and Laura especially. The big hands and feet never appealed to me even though it helps for player visibility. I do hope Cammy keeps her sculpted abs though.

Well guile looked good, not the charachter people expected in the reveal , but i bet kimberely gets shown at capcom own event on monday, although loved guile stage shown best stage shown yet

Interesting to think that in pushing more realistic graphics, SF6 is potentially hearkening back to the design ethos of SF1 & 2, where most (and yes, there were exceptions) of the cast were meant to visually come across as somewhat realistic portrayals of fighters rooted in their specific cultures. Speaking to SF4 & 5, in attempting to adapt the existing 2D designs, many characters became over exaggerated physically, appear more like action figures from the 1990s.

One niggle so far with SF6 is considering this Guile trailer and the leaked concept art, many of the characters aren't dressed naturally or even naturally street, but rather look like they came off the runway of a Gucci fashion show. Going back to what I wrote about Cammy's leotard, I do hope the launch cast has some decent--or classic--alternate outfits baked into the purchased game, rather than being totally left at the mercy of DLC offerings.

Considering that Guile has a flash kick, does it look like his model skipped leg day in tha trialer. Upper body was so out of proportion compared to his legs

edit: actually will wait till confirmation

Before anyone gets hyped for a 23rd char, that ? is probably for random select 😂

Oh definitely; that dude kept my interest in SFV going during the dry periods. There are some neat up-and-coming modders as well. All the more reason to also pick this up on PC.

Same, and I found it weird as hell certain people kept trying to call the game out for fetishizing the female cast or shame them for being toned and whatnot. I don't see anything inherently wrong with it, as long as it's not excessive like DOA Xtreme 3 was (or would've been if it were a fighting game).

At least Cammy does still have classic outfit in the game, and at least from the leaked footage is looking as good as ever. They're probably gonna go ham with outfits for all the female chars this time, SFV Chun was just a test ;)

Guile and his stage look great. This stage looks more than the SFV one. Love to see Guily has aged but only a bit and still is a gigachad. He also looks visually like an impoved version of SFV model, which already was great.

His gameplay is so sick. Love to see how they integrated V-Skill and V-Trigger 1 as part of his moveset, plus they added some new cool stuff like being able to perform the Sonic Hurricane diagonally or his new and spectacular Super Art.

I never liked Guile but the trailer looks great. So far the game looks very promissing. I'm suprised how fast trailers are coming. Probably we will get another one at the Capcom showcase next week!

Looking at this in slow mo, the details are cool. When Guile actives his super art level 2, you can see his hair flowing and face huffing and puffing:messenger_sunglasses:\

Guile's animations look so crispy in slow motion. Thank the heavens they decided to go the usual Street Fighter route and give us such lush, full bodied movements again. SFV spoiled the hell out of me to the point that it was hard to look at other fighters as far as animation is concerned.

His character looks fun and also looks like he can do things such as cancel a sweep into a Flash Kick (probably with using one of the Drive meter abilities though). My only issue is with him coming back that's probably even less a chance for Remy to return to the series.

As neat as Guile is I have enjoyed Remy's style with that type of projectile play a ton and think he deserves another shot. If it weren't for the way parries worked in 3S he would've been a much more liked player among pros.

I thought Kimberly's trailer was going to be next but Capcom may be focusing on the returning guard for this phase of marketing outside of Luke and Jamie since they're the new main/central characters in the story (or at least Luke is).

Although I'm very interested in seeing how the new characters play, I can also understand if they hold out on them closer to the release so we may not see anything from them until closer to the TGAs or more likely, January next year (in terms of gameplay trailers anyway).

Yes, he also has many cool things with normals or past specials. He also seems to have a low target combo. I think Guile is a must who should be in all SF games.

Regarding Remy: it's weird that SFV lacked so many characters and that there is no SF3 characters in SF6 at laucn. I think it's also suspicious that being set in Metro City (at least this first season/chapter of the game) there's nobody from Final Fight (or characters from FF that were included in Street Fighter Alpha, 4 or 5). Plus there is nobody from Shadaloo/Illuminatti/NeoShadaloo other than Ed (probably to link the storyline with 5 regarding bad guys) and probably JP.

I think it's because they plan to make big themed DLC seasons or updates:
  • Season 1: Final Fight season (returning chars from SFA/3/4/5+ someone new related lore wise like Damnd, Maki and Haggar)
  • Season 2: Super SF6 season (with returning fan favorite good guys from SF1/2/Alpha/4/5 and someone new related lore wise)
  • Season 3: Bad guys season (rise of Neo Shadaloo, return of Neo Shadaloo and Iluminatti chars to face Neoshadaloo, new neo Shadaloo chars)
  • Season 4: SF3 season (returning SF3 chars + someone new related lore wise to SF3)
  • Season 5: Ultra SF6 season (with returning fan favorites from SF1/2/Alpha/4/5 + someone new related lore wise)
"Super" SF6 and "Ultra" SF6 would be bundles of original game + previous DLC as they did with SFV, all three SF6 "games" would really be the same and would share the same online as happened with SFV.

I thought Kimberly's trailer was going to be next but Capcom may be focusing on the returning guard for this phase of marketing outside of Luke and Jamie since they're the new main/central characters in the story (or at least Luke is).

I think they considered Summer Doritos Fest was going to reach a more casual audience who problably wouldn't give a fuck about Kimberly but may know Guile and his SF2 stage. So they thought it would make sense to show him here. Probably they have Kimberly reveal planned for Capcom's event of this Monday.

Tomorrow morning they have a SF6 press event in USA so maybe Monday they reveal someone or something else other than Kimberly. I think it would be a good opportunity to show better the single player World Tour story mode and the avatar customization.

Then maybe at EVO they can reveal two characters more, and show that the Fighting Ground section features -according to the game's website- all the SFV game modes and that the Hub features the CFN stuff (replays, tournaments, stats and a place to talk with other players and play retro games).

He's an evergreen character along with Ryu, Chun-Li and Ken. Just a staple who should always stick around.

Makes me also think if it takes place after SF3, it's a decent few years afterwards which could explain why some chars are missing. Because TBH, some like Dudley had basic AF story reasons in SFIII (tho I definitely want them back in 6), and others like Necro and Twelve are highly tied to Gill and the Illuminati. Remove those and characters like them (particularly Twelve) don't have a reason to stick around anymore.

Also I'd of preferred Falke to come back over Ed if we could only get one of them; I always thought they could've done more with her style. Ed felt scattershot and Luke seems like what Ed should've been from the beginning, at least IMO. But I'm still interested to see what they do with Ed's style in 6.

I think it's because they plan to make big themed DLC seasons or updates:
  • Season 1: Final Fight season (returning chars from SFA/3/4/5+ someone new related lore wise like Damnd, Maki and Haggar)

If the new Seasons bring big cohesive story advancements (kind of like sagas in a shounen anime, though they don't have to bring in new main villains each time. Could be closer to arcs) then I'd be down for that. I always wanted SFV to do more story content, like actual story content, with the other seasons but after the Cinematic Story Mode Season 1 they didn't do much afterwards.

Of course tying that into the World Tour mode will also be needed, like updating the environment for the World Tour mode depending on the story thread for the season and whatnot. There's a lot of ways they can work with this and make it land.

Yeah, most likely. Tho again I won't be surprised if they stick to focusing on returning classics or returning SFV chars for the time being, and save gameplay trailers for new chars closer to the launch phase.

Tomorrow morning they have a SF6 press event in USA so maybe Monday they reveal someone or something else other than Kimberly. I think it would be a good opportunity to show better the single player World Tour story mode and the avatar customization.

Play retro stuff like have a lobby while waiting on matches where you can play some classic beat 'em ups or the such? That would be pretty cool. Kind of reminds me of the loading game stuff Namco did for Ridge Racer way way back, just in this case for games in the online lobby while you wait.

Much preferred to annoying advertisements like certain patents and rumors (not related to this game, but with certain console platform holder(s)) were talking about 😂.

What did they do to Guile's hair? Dude looks like a bald guy wearing a bird's nest.

I caught that during the live stream looks like a lighting and or rendering issue im sure it will be fixed. TBH I was wondering how this would look using the RE engine and I am quite impressed You can see Guile breathing and taking in air during his install. Super well done animations. Also check out the pic on their site of the best kick in SF history. The EFF neutral kick is back baby.

SF6 is set several years after SF3, maybe around 5 or 10. Ryu and Chun look older than in 3, and Guile looks older than in 5. Li-Fen, the girl that appeared saved by Chun in SFV and SF3 now appeared -seems it's her because of the pandas- in the trailer and is now a teenager.

Guile looks fantastic.
As an Italian, I will never forgive them for Marisa (which, incidentally, is my best friend's mother name and I only associate it with old people) but the rest of the cast isn't bad. I mostly like the newcomers and the general art direction is pretty good.
Not crazy about Ryu's redesign, not crazy about Terry, not crazy about the painting effects that seem to be a bit excessive, not crazy about the stupid hip-hop theme, not crazy about Cammy's default costume being like that for reasons we all know...
But it does look very, very good.

Edit: but seriously, they've gone overboard and should tone it down a little:

No, Gigachad arms like this one, seen in all SF games, with their weird unrealistic proportions are specially good for readability during gameplay (Akiman designed the Capcom fighting games anatomy guidelines to be in this way for that reason).

That makes what they'll do with characters like Sean all the more interesting. 3S's story basically made him a Dan-like character but at one point he was at least set up to be a sort-of successor to Ken. I'm hoping there's more interaction between Sean, Ken, and Mel in VI that can also show how Ken seemingly lost everything and maybe Sean, Laura, maybe even Karin are involved in helping him get back on his feet.

Capcom animations are unrivaled.

For real. SFV probably had the best animation in a fighting game last gen, at least alongside Tekken 7, and VI looks like it'll continue that trend.

I do kinda wish the speed was a bit faster, though. Not necessarily a fan of how each game seems to slow the speed down a little more with each release. At least give us a speed setting like older SF games did.

Her ass looks pretty fake to me.

No dude, it's legit. She does tons of work outs and targeted growing that booty for a few years. It paid off 😁

Is that a woman?

Bro, yes! WTF? 🤣

The arms, the hands, feet, even the color scheme for the outfits. There was a really good blog series some dude named BigMex did on 1Up way back (like 2009 way back) going over the designs of classic SF games and seeing how the SFIV characters measured up. Pointed out the real-life people that inspired the classic designs, etc.

Of course that was written when SFIV was coming out and a lot of people were lukewarm on those designs, even C.Viper and Juri. But that blog series was also good at denoting some of the differences between the SFIII designs and those that were in the classic SF2 and Alpha games.

Interesting read, but 1Up is long dead and I don't know if that blog was archived with the Wayback Machine, so it's probably long gone.

Luke's theme; sounds like some '80s-inspired breakbeat/beatbox style instrumentals in there. Sounds pretty good (still like Chun's theme better tho but I could be biased 😜)

All the supers so far in the playable version. Some pretty cool ones in there.

That commentary option though...yeah gonna be turning that off. =P

The commentators themselves are good and the feature's nice to have but it's gonna start cycling clips very quickly.

Supers are looking good though. Chun, Guile, and Jamie have my favorite ones from what's been shown so far.

Game mechanics overview & breakdown.

Sounds like the Drive Bar doubles as a guard meter as well so the more you block, the more your Drive will deplete.

Also sounds like the dude playing it feels it harkens a lot to the Alpha games with some 3S mixed in for good measure. I've only played a bit of the Alpha games but have a lot of playtime with 3S so that's sounding really good, especially since it sounds like you won't be able to simply spam parries like you could in 3S.

Drive Rush also looking really powerful.

I’m loving everything about this game so far. The presentation and animation quality is insane. I can’t wait to see other classic characters in this art style.

Nice. Also hell yeah dem thighs are juicy chunky 😍
Chun Li looks better than ever. Her thighs are colossally thicc. I’m excited about Cammy’s reveal now.

Paint, paint everywhere. It looks like watching a match between painters. Capcom has gone nuts, but a cleaner graphic style would be nice. Too bad really, from sf4 on, the graphics have always gotten worse.

Let's hope the paint effect is optional so we can turn it off as its really distracting. Reminds me too much of Splatoon.

Thicc thigh physics? :messenger_winking_tongue:
