Its not a tease for TGA, that twitter account has literally been retweeting all the evo annoucements/news, im not saying it wont be at TGA but its more likely whatever the next tekken game is will show up before then.

Seeing Tekken 7 PS4/XBOne looking like smeared shit in comparison to 6/Tag 2 on PS3/X360 and then not anticipating Tekken 8 looking like shit on PS5/SeriesX is funny. 🤣
tekken 7 looks fine for me at 4k ultra settings on pc.

But I would argue the graphics are outdated. hopefully this isn't far off for the PC\console release but I am expecting 2024

tekken 7 is so old at this point its ridiculous

TGA doesn't own all the announcements they tweet to try and grab some social media engagement.

There are other major events coming before TGA, including Gamescom and Tokyo Game Show.

Maybe Tekken 8 will look not bad at 8k on PC in 2025. But it sure as hell won't look even up to par with late 7th gen graphical marvels.

it's a fighting game, it has to run at 60fps on weak PS4 and Xbone hardware. it's only natural it's gonna look a bit old

They got Tekken 6 running on a PSP, so that is no excuse. Also, The new Bamco logo makes me think they are selling low budget phones or something.

Injustice 2 runs on Unreal Engine 3, so what has base engine got to do with it.

injustice 2 came out 2 years after tekken 7 initial release. injustice 2 has been dead for years and tekken 7 is still going strong in the competitive scene and online. weird comparison.

console versions of tekken 7 always looked bad and run at super low res. most people migrated to PC where the game looks fine to this day for being so old.

I was just play t7 on PC. It's still looks great for a fighting game. We'll see if it's crossgen. Honestly, it's good when fg's are playable in lower end pc hardware. So that would be the silver lining if it's crossgen.

Even though the Tekken games have always been mechanically sound and entertaining, the story has always been silly lol. Three generations of family members plotting and killing each other over a company.

One looks blurry and low poly while the other looks sharp and high definition on all ports. Both use Unreal Engine as a base. Guess which one Tekken 7 is.
The talent left a long time ago.

It's about time. I think the first location tests in Japan were done in 2014 with a release following in 2015. Similar to SFV's season 5, I think season 4 for T7 only happened because of covid. Good to see the next installment is finally happening.

You’re an absolute bell end if you think they would announce Tekken 8 at Gamescom. TGS is also super unlikely

I’ve been patiently waiting for Tekken 8. Don’t dangle the treat in front of my face now, Bandai Namco. Give me what I NEED.

played tekken 2 on download from plus premium. i was NOT prepared for how ugly things had become. my god...is it me, or is there like, a three hour ping time between pressing the button and it actually responding lol. anyway, my eyes refused to stay open any further until i stopped playing. what a feckin shock that was.

Then Tekken 9 Heihachi returns and throws Jin into a Volcano?

Wonder if Akuma will be in 8.
My guess is introducing a fifth-gen heir to the Mishima / Kazama line and continuing the cycle of parent-child-volcano violence. Probably with more DBZ fights since it's devil gene all the way down from there.

I can see them doing some more SF crossovers, since the ghost of TxSF is still at large. I guess it depends on whether we're looking at a 'return to the roots' sequel or an iteration.

Jesus H Christ. When this was announced I thought, "...already"?

Then I checked when Tekken 7 released and it was well over 7 fucking years ago. Getting older wouldn't be so bad if I still perceived time the way I did when I was 10. :messenger_loudly_crying:
