It was an ambiguous enough post that it didn't say much about anything, so I was just trying to make sure what you meant by it.

But sure, I'll take you at face value: it was a long setup to what ended up being a mediocre joke anyway. 😂

Some dude on the Sandman thread straight up called it a "virus", "disease", "disgusting" and shit and yet his post is still there

I try to think that GAF is just like the real world: you see good people and some idiots. The idiots I try to ignore them.

It's much better to have different opinions than one place like RE where you have a hivemind.

But sometimes mods take sides, deleting some posts and not others, which is realy frustrating if you start paying attention to it

Why can’t people just say “Y’know, this movie sucked. I didn’t like how they wrote [character name] and felt like they were coming from a disingenuous place.” Instead of relying on stuff like “This movie is fucking woke!” Or “This movie is fucking bigotted!”. Is it really so hard to simply explain yourself in an adult manner without relying on silly terms and refusing to engage in actual discussions? Why else are you on a forum if not for debates and discussions?

I'm sorry but you are letting past drama and personal grudges color off on others. I'm certainly not a political tribalist, you know that very well and I have been one of the few on this very forum defending movies like Lightyear for showing a same-sex kiss. Go read my last review of Prey, isn't that exactly what you want for off-topic? Yes, I have a dislike for wokeness, just as I dislike other narrative crutches and ideologies, but I certainly don't consume my entertainment through a mere partisan lens and have have done many other contributions to this forum.

There's room for people who defend it and people who are against it, what I don't like is when discussions are being shut down due to past history and drama.

Also since when is it your concern what websites I visit?

If you remember, I wasn't part of the drama... and no, in case you are wondering, I don't frequent that other forum... but considering how little worth I am to this place in light of your bitter reply, I'm starting to wonder why I still support this forum. Don't let your personal issues out on other people, myself included.

If you are talking the user base, then you seem to forget the Matt-era Politics board, and especially the T. I haven't had much time for forums the last couple of month, so I cannot speak about the current state of affairs, but there were quite a few months (basically before the closure of the Politics section) where this as a blanket statement certainly was not true.

You are who you associate with. It tends to be clearer to third parties than the person in the thick of it. Spending time around degenerates and consuming a bunch of angry YouTube videos will exert a major influence on who you are.

If you don't want people to discuss "wokeness" in media, just say it outright or make a rule like you did with politics, but conflating the two is really not constructive.
Discussions about wokeness can't be worse than the half a dozen nudity and titty threads that keep constantly floating to the top.
