10GB on system and 8GB available for actual use. Much more than 4GB but still a very small amount.WTF are you talking about, it has 10GB of memory.
This is ridiculous. The first game was great but i’m not gonna upgrade my SSD or delete a punch of games just to play a single game. I have 109 games on a 512GB SD card on Switch.
They look fantastic on the OLED screen. Artstyle>50GB+ graphics... and Switch games look like Xbox/Playstation games that were made 15+ years ago. There's a reason Switch games are small.

Installing on my XSX now! This is gonna be SWEET!Yes, you can use the xbox phone app to pre-install the game.
I think the first one was in real time since it showed your current equipped gear/skins in the cut scenes.i just hope none of these space is for prerendered cutscene bullshit. will be fuming otherwise

Got any links to that PR? They really pushed the fact that wouldn't be the case. See the article belowI think that's what the post was poking fun at. That the PR was suggesting the S would have the ability to have the same assets and settings via things like SFS, but just rendering at lower res. Unfortunately that ideal isn't reality for most games. Memory did turn out to be an issue for other things.
https://www.denofgeek.com/games/xbo...ll-sizes-will-be-30-smaller-than-on-series-x/In other words, reduced texture resolutions and the fact that it renders at 1440p instead of native 4K will mean smaller game sizes on the Xbox Series S. But according to IGN, the Series S will still be “capable of outputting a full 4K signal” if developers choose to enable that feature. Devs will also be able to use a lower resolution (1080p, for example) “in order to utilize more complex graphical effects.”
Final Fantasy XV on PC HD Texture Pack makes a night-and-day difference in asset quality and the game's overall look. There are official texture packs on PC around the size of that difference. I can't think of one where the comparisons between Very High and Ultra were profound, but hey, value I guess.
I swear I read only 1GB was reserved on the S (1.5GB for X) and that the whole 8GB of fast ram was available and 1GB of the slow.
Nah, 2.5GB for both.I swear I read only 1GB was reserved on the S (1.5GB for X) and that the whole 8GB of fast ram was available and 1GB of the slow.
The gang that lives in my tenement forces themselves on me every friday, and they killed my pets. But, I have good internet. It can be 300 gigabytes for all I care. I just want to play a game.
If you're bothered by this then you should've moved in an area where they have a better internet.

Excellent. That's the benefit of thinking ahead, I can see you're gonna get far in life. The gang that lives in my tenement forces themselves on me every friday, and they killed my pets. But, I have good internet.
HFW w/Burning Shores is 117GB.Damn this shit makes Horizon:FW and GOW:R look itty bitty. Some of these publishers/devs be abusing.
Yeah that's with dlc. This game is launching far bigger for whatever reason(none good and nor justified.)HFW w/Burning Shores is 117GB.
Kind of off topic but I'm not sure they pushed that so much. The PR blurb the person poked fun at is from a since deleted MS video. It's telling that they removed that video because over time Series S cut other things like framerate modes, raytracing, and lowered settings. Probably deleted it for legal reasons they didn’t want to bite them in the ass.Got any links to that PR? They really pushed the fact that wouldn't be the case. See the article below
I thought maybe it was big from using ue5 but the only source I found says ue4.Damn this shit makes Horizon:FW and GOW:R look itty bitty. Some of these publishers/devs be abusing.

The removed video if you can do some cache or wayback machine magic or something :
Screengrabs if you can't :
they talked about smart delivery too (mainly with xbox one) but the PR at the time was heavily focused on same features just lowered rendering resolution for Series S at 1440p. The guys post was only poking fun at that PR which didn't really turn out to be true.
How about that same experience at 1440p tho? A lot of us knew it was BS from that anemic box, and the results have been showing more and more, with a lot in the sub 1080p territory.Smart delivery use suggests lower res textures which undercuts your premise.
As I said, the smart delivery PR mainly referred to xbox one versions not a difference between Series X and S:Smart delivery use suggests lower res textures which undercuts your premise.
Exactly, i think its very irresponsible to force players to download all languages, they need to make you select the language when you download the game, game size is getting so big and a significant cut is going to be welcome. It’s the language packs, every one in the galaxy.
Ffs weren't we supposed to have smaller game sizes with the next gen?
I get the strange feeling of pre rendered cutscenes
150gb for such game is Overkill
Yeah, I don’t speak Bocce, why should I have to download it?!Exactly, i think its very irresponsible to force players to download all languages, they need to make you select the language when you download the game, game size is getting so big and a significant cut is going to be welcome.
Sure but come on, 140+GB really? I have a kinda slow internet (downloading at 7mb/s) so this fuckin sucks and OF COURSE no preload on PC.Come on EA I want to believe after your trailers.
Between this and some of the previews I read my excitement is going down.
