Nintendo just posted a bunch of Monado artworks on their FB page!

EDIT: Wait, that was 2 hours ago...

It would probably take me more time to drive to GameStop, wait in line, get sales-pitched, and drive home then I spent modding my Wii and importing Blade.

It isn't THAT quick. It takes at least an hour plus and then it's a few minutes every time you boot up the machine.

I noticed NOA update on Facebook (they just uploaded a few pictures making me think this was like the time xbox.com was hacked to show Metroid Prime as one of the upcoming games).

Gamestop exclusive? I wonder if Gamestop decided to threaten pulling a Dreamcast Shenmue 2 like EB games did back in the day to get NOA to do something for a living.

Still, 8 months later and still total rubbish putting your consumers through this (and continueing to by making it exclusive to a distested retailer, then again it seems to be the hip thing for Ultra-niche games, in the UK Nintendo made Solotorabo GAME exculsive).

This is great! I'm so happy for monolithsoft. :)

...But what's this about Takahashi making the ACE+ girl cry?
Its in the Iwata Asks. Basically, Takahashi kept rejecting songs outright. To miss-quote the Simpsons: "Did I expect too much from them? The results 'soundtrack loved by all' speak for themselves"

Man, this is like ultimate trolling. You are forced to buy one of the best RPGs this gen in a chain that doesn't give a fuck about anything not called MW3.

You heard that right GameStop is PAYING for you to get Xenoblade released here.

Doing you guys a favor, even.

They're bigger fools than anyone could have guessed, then. This game will sell less than any other game released in the same month, I would bet. In fact, I would take this opportunity to urge people NOT to buy Xenoblade at GameStop, because fuck them.

Watch it will have a release of April 2012, then Nintendo will come out and say APRIL FOOLS!

and then....

That's great news for those that haven't imported it yet. I'll probably get this twice against my better judgment.

I was more excited to see a date for Mario Party 9

Smash Bros Exploit and Getting Homebrew Channel, done literally in like 3 minutes.

Getting GekkoOS on board, literally like 2 minutes since it's essentially dragging a file to the SD card and getting it onto the Wii.

Even if you include downloading times and copying times, not to mention updating all the port stuff if you want to, it would still probably take 25 minutes max unless you're using America Online Dialup or something.

And a "few minutes after booting up the machine" consists of "clicking homebrew channel, clicking GekkoOS, clicking launch game, done in under a minute".

Seems to be getting more common to offer exclusivity to retailers, GAME group also got the Xenoblade + red Classic Controller set and Forza 4 Limited Edition. It's annoying, I hate GAME group.

Anyway, good news for US buyers. Xenoblade deserves to be available to as big a market as possible.

Whoa.

It's a great game. Anybody interested who didn't import from Europe should definitely grab it.

Perhaps for someone who is a regular modder, but for a regular joe who has never modded anything, it is not possible to do it in 25 minutes even with downloading. That's just not true.

Maybe whatever method you've used is faster, but if you use the USB Loader, HBC, etc. that is outlined in the Wii for Dummies walkthrough, it takes at least 2-3 minutes til the game starts from booting up.

If this is true and it doesn't sell at least 300k upon release it'll me be a message to Nintendo never to listen to fans again regardless of how much noise they make.

I almost regret importing now. Oh well, I've been playing the game with japanese VA anyway, NA version should come with dual audio too. I wonder if there's hope for Last Story now? In any case, everyone who didn't import better go buy this. Show support for for such a great game and great developer.

Oh boy, are they really going to stick with the Monado: Beginning of the World name?

they better not. NoA has done enough damage by not releasing this game. it's on my to-buy list, they better not screw it up.

you really think this game will sell 300k in the US? Hahaha

But I don' want to give money to Gamestop...

If it's truly exclusive I'll import.

ohgodwhatthefuck

kidding. day one

While it is good that the people who didn't import finally have a shot, I still don't think NoA deserves any praise on how they handled that Operation Rainfall fiasco when a simple "We are working on it, expect it in 2012" would have sufficed with 10% the fallout.

The minute I heard this news I knew someone was going to have this as his/her point and not give any credit at all to Nintendo. This opinion is unbelievable in terrible ways. And I am sure you aren't the only one. It's ridiculous that you guys want something for so long and yet it happens you're like, oh no, no we can't accept it, like you're punishing Nintendo or something, which will potentially punish me because not enough copies will be sold.

That was always the logical reason why I thought Nintendo wouldn't do anything--so many gamers love to complain--"hey why didn't you bring this over BEST GAME EVER BRING IT OVER"--but then when they actually comply, it's too much for all of you. You have to just find something else to complain about.

What about the people who assumed that it wasn't coming over when Nintendo didn't say anything and imported it? Are we supposed to double-dip out of gratitude?

I don't but after all that Operation Rainfall commotion it's going to have to sell that much to convince Nintendo they did the right thing.

If Internet commotion meant anything KZ2 would have sold 10 millions out of gifs alone.

Why would you, you paid once so you are perfectly fine, people double-dipping are wasting money, much like people buying the Japanese version of something in hope of getting the us version.
