I'm being sarcastic to subtly make fun of people. :p

Well even if it doesn't turn out to be a game from Kojima, it won't be that game you saw in the 2009 trailer.

1. Kojima game
2. New game we have not seen in any teasers until now (hah no game footage)

Right, I don't think people would expect it to look the same as a 2009 game even if it is the same title.

Heavy Rain and Killzone 2 were quite different by the time they finally debuted as titles, and I imagine Sorcery is very different by now as well.

Well that video says it's multiplatform, not ps3 exclusive. Of course he could be talking about a different game entirely...

Also, this video. If that is this game, it's worth noting that the youtube account hosting that video was made in 2006, meaning the game has been in development for a long time.
I suspect this might even be a new team for Sony, even if it resides in an existing building. Killzone 2 took four years due to team and technology building, but it was really only about 18 months of production.

So the trailer on GT is called "You won't believe teaser." Now, did Keighley title that trailer? Or was his initial tweet just a reference to the title of that teaser? If Keighley's "you won't believe" is merely a reference to the trailer's title, then all this talk about what would be a megaton surprise is completely misguided.

He was just regurgitating PR language to build hype (which is his job, basically) and everyone got stupid.

Is this an incorrect interpretation of the events?

So the Cordyceps video is called 'attack of the killer fungi' because it's about killer mushrooms, obviously the story will be about a strain of that fungus that attacks the human species due to overpopulation or whatever.

But what's surprising about that? Maybe it's surprising because it's a reboot of a previous series that had a similar theme of killer mushrooms.

Stop the speculation everyone, this is the only answer.

His tweet was:
Yes, at VGAs we will be revealing a PS3 exclusive you won't believe. We'll be able to share more soon.

So, I'd assume they named the video after his tweet.

Why would you assume that? Because we saw the tweet before we saw the trailer title?

Would they do that? I don't really understand Keighley's relationship to Gametrailers. Is he an employee of GT or do they just host/produce(?) some of his shows or what?

Would whoever made that trailer allow someone else to name it? Based on a tweet? I don't really think so.

I could see Valve doing some sort of console exclusive if Sony give them anything they want like with Portal 2. But doubt it.

It will be underwhelming, shit always is.

This isn't directed solely at you, but there is just no way this is a third party exclusive. There's no reason for any dev/publisher to forgo the profits of also releasing on 360 and there's no reason this late in the console cycle for Sony to pay the shitload of cash that would be required.

Zombies? It's exactly this type of innovation the industry needs, along with more first-person military shooters.

Seriously though, I'm so over the subject matter.

If the PS3 exclusive is Until Dawn and we won't have another PS3 exclusive at the event, where does this put Sony Title Fght? Now that Game Informers reveal were South Park.

Zombies arn't going anywhere, especially with how popular The Walking Dead is, and WWZ becoming a movie.

As long as the game is more survival horror than military shooter, I'm not seeing the problem

They could unveil it on the road to E3.

They usually do that with 2-5 titles each year.

Interesting speculation all around! It will be a fun week. Where this all ends is very cool.

You should post more. It's always more fun when people behind the scenes post here. Not necessarily just in these kinds of threads but in general.

An SCEE rep also noted that the end of the (this)year would see more PS3 surprises.

Now that you say it, that's exactly what they have been doing.

I won't mind Until Dawn at all, I really want my flashlight horror game for PlayStation Move! ^_^

Probably you're right, I don't know what kind of relationship they have.

I've just searched and the Geoff Keighley Wikipedia page says:
He is the host and executive producer of the video game show GameTrailersTV (formerly known as Game Head).
I'm not sure how much that "executive producer" means and if he has any decision power outside of the show. Probably none.

I don't think it will be "zombies" per say.

They will be perfectly normal human beings, but infected and with a death sentence. Just like the ants purge the infected, humans would do that too.

And since that makes the world go to shit, they will try to walk the line of psychological terror, putting you up to harsh decisions, while doing the survival horror thing.

Which if well done and not tacky, may be pretty fucking cool.

What I'd like: A joint collaboration between SCEA and Kojima (as Director) years in the making, a semi-open survival horror featuring an end of the world scenario involving cordyceps/virus infection, genuinely intriguing morale choices and a surreal combination of actual video recording/w actors and realistic visuals. Less emphasis on combat and more emphasis on survival/ the surroundings

What we'll get: A Move mandatory first/third person shooter in an open world setting, touches briefly on the infection/spread of zombie virus but largely focuses on the zombies themselves, namely the killing of. Cluttered with generic sidequests/gimmicks and has simple, shallow gameplay

Yep. I already said it a long time ago, Title Fight is clearly too early in development to be revealed next week; it's doubtful that a trailer will be ready by then. The only reason we knew about the game this early is because Sony can't keep anything under wraps. Title Fight is an E3 reveal to combat whatever Microsoft/Nintendo have to announce, in lieu of no PS4.

what if it is fallout(skyrim) type of game? I always said Sony needs game like that to show of it's tech in PS3.
Fallout with zombies = I am in!

Honestly, I couldn't care less about the tech now. This generation is coming to an end. We've already seen the best that all three consoles can put out.
