Guys on friday I came back from a 5 day trip to Amsterdam... My God you guys don't realise how fucking amazing that place is. I was literally in depression or just like this funk for 2 days after. Finally got back to normal yesterday. maybe it was like a "weed hangover" because we smoked so much but I felt something missing when i came back.
Such a beautiful place, best city to walk around in and cycle. Amazing architecture, streets, everything. Beautiful weed, beautiful women and a beautiful city.
Top-class food as-well. Even got some shrooms there as well. I'm seriosuly in love with this place, everyones so chill. Just on a different wavelength. I havent even phoned my dealer back here, it just doesn't feel right not being able to have a weed shop on every street, where I can smoke in peace, play pool, eat amazing food.
edit: i swear GAF was meant to resize these?!

I'd say I liked about half of what Radioactive had to offer. Half of it was the dope Yela that I love and he came hard as fuck. Other half was indeed comparable to Lasers. So I agree with Kamspy, you could make a solid EP out of it. But come on, Lasers was on a different level of shit.

Lasers was about a 6/10, IMO. It wasnt offensively bad, but it had "different" production and was just too obviously trying for mainstream appeal.

Oh I really enjoyed it. But only because of Yela's charisma for a lot of it. I don't think KRIT could pull that off.

Yela's voice and flow is unique enough to carry questionable production and direction. KRIT is a mix of everything we have heard before. He doesnt it phenomenally well, but it isnt unique enough to stand out from said bad production and direction.

because no matter what those debates will come about...

The Kanye question is dangerous. Whenever an innocuous poster comes in and lists any one permutation of Kanye lists the thread goes off on a wild tangent.

Every time someone drops a Kanye albums list a steel chair is thrown in the middle of GAF-Hop

This only happens when CD or LR are put below something else. Rightly so, that poster deserves to be ridiculed for having outlandishly bad taste.

I've listened to the Rack City remix waaaay more than I ever expected to listen to anything from Tyga. Having actual MCs on it helps a lot.

That dessert...don't even know what it is for sure, but it looks amazing.

(Also, if you put the images in quotes, it should shrink them to size.)

I kind of want to try splice that Yela verse into the Rack City remix. Then it'd be super hot.

Oh, and Kams, what should I have on the Nas cycle? Just the same stuff as the sonic cycle?

I'd say something like:

Rumblings of a new album.

Rumblings of good producers being on it

Great street single released mad early. See Thieves Theme and Nasty

Then, much like the Sonic Cycle, the unwanted friends show up. Justice League, Khaled, Alex da Kidd, etc.

Real first single. Probably some bullshit here. Life is Good feat. Kesha prod by Diplo

Album drops. Everyone tries to like it. We all want Nas to win. Within a couple weeks only people left listening are the delusional fanatics.

Cycle repeats in a few years. It's never failed.

I was gonna suggest it earlier but thought it'd be too mean:

GAF-Hop |OT4| Yelawolf's career began and died within the last OT

To be fair, Diplo is capable of some good shit. He produced the "best" feamle singer track on Radioactive (Animal) and the new track he did with Usher is the best song I've heard from Usher since 03/04 but yea, I don't want him on a Nas album.

That can be done. It'll probably be a bit later than the OT goes up though.

...?

Khaled gave Nas the best song he's done in like the past 3-4 years.

Gettin’ in from the airport
You gettin’ in from your study group
The only thing missing at this point,
Is bonified chillin’ time with you
I can’t stand the times when I’m alone at night and I feel your side of the bed and it’s cold
I’m wide awake I don’t know the time cause I’m too busy texting you on my phone
Sayin…

I want you girl and I need your body right here
Won’t you teleport 2 me
I want you girl and I need your body right here
Won’t you teleport 2 me
I want you girl
Right here, right here
Wont you teleport 2 me
I want you girl
Right here, right here
Won’t you teleport 2 me baby
Na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na na naaaa
Aye yo
Na na na na na na na na naaaaa naaa naaa na na na naaaaaa
Aye yo

Can we ban Cudi from the next thread? Please?

Oh and hush the Diplo talk, cause you need new ears if you can't hear that this beat is crazy

Love Diplo when he does hip hop. Just not with Nas.

Didn't mean that as a knock on him. Just the inevitable Nas missteps.

So would the 'perfect' Nas album sound... well... exactly like the album he dropped 15 years ago?
Progression...?
Not saying Nas should go pop and get Diplo or whatever but branching out his sound could only help at this point

Need more Nas over No ID.

No. It should sound exactly like the album he dropped 18 years ago.

Preem, Pete Rock, Alchemist, Kanye, Havoc, No ID, The Roots.

Fill out about 14 tracks with them. Use good ole Salaam Remi on the filler tracks. No pop single. WTT didn't need one.

Get a good quality control executive producer to oversee the shit too. Nas is incapable on his own.

Get his album produced by Premiere, No ID, and a few others. Nas always seems to at least be competent-great on the mic, his ear for production was/is horrible. I swear Premiere is always saying he is ready to go when Nas is. Hopefully when he leaves Def Jam we can get a premiere/nas joint.

Hey, I'm just here to prove you wrong. Enjoy your day!

I was joking. But sure..lol

Heh, that's what I meant! No sane person would turn down another Illmatic but I just find it slightly disconcerting the way people tend to box artists in and never want them to change or grow, ever.

No. People want quality albums. When an artist changes for the worse(Nas, Kanye), they are more vocal for wanting an album like a previous one. Although I wouldnt say Nas has changed much, only his ear for production has gotten pretty awful.

Nas on a So Appalled type track would work well. Heck, I'd have loved to have seen him on that track.

Welp, guess No ID co-produced that track. That explains it.

Looking at the credits for MBDTF, the only tracks he doesn't go completely overboard on are the ones coproduced with ID.
