watching these screenshots it is getting tougher to wait for Uncharted's price to drop a bit xD

Looking forward to the inevitable Patapon game. That game is also cut out for that Near game goods business I keep reading about.
A Patapon sequel could also be improved by using (both) touch screens

AS for Skyrim on Vita, i think it could be done and by lowering to Vita's resolution it may even run better than on PS3 .
I'd love to see infamous though, gyro aiming could be a blast.

lol sub hd is better than 20fps.

Also they really need to fix the Netflix app. If I'm watching a video and press the PS button to check something out and then come back to netflix, instead of resuming the video it takes me back to the main netflix menu =/ Not to mention it's very slow and unresponsive.

I bought it for $49 but then saw it at another store used for $39 so I was lucky :) Now I'll return the new copy to EB and I'll be golden.

While I'm here, any offical release date for Motorstorm RC in the US?
Not sure which account I want to use as my main on the Vita yet, tending to the same as on my PS3 (US) and I don't want to spread my purchases all over the place (only 1 mem card).
See what you did there Sony? If I could switch accounts hassle free I'd have already bought Motorstorm RC on the UK store and this is only the beginning.

WipEout demo in US?

When you buy VC2 w/DLC from PSN and copy the game and all 22 packs over to the Vita, do the packs automatically sync up with the game? How do I know they're properly installed on the Vita?

Dynasty Warriors Next is some good stuff. Haven't played a game since 2 or 3 back in the day but it's just like I remember. Shame the pop-in really kills the overall really nice graphics.

I use it, Didn't really want it as I only wanted the pouch but the starter kit was on offer and i now don't use the pouch at all and just this.

Works great as a stand and you can just let it hang ( i thought id hate this but you don't notice it at all and doesn't get in the way)

Use it too, and love it. My Vita hasn't been detached from it since day one. Just very versatile.

I'm thinking of maybe getting some velcro and stuff to make a little holder on the inside for game/memory cards though.

Pissed there isn't a Virtua Tennis demo. I need a tennis fix very badly and my stupid Vita can't play Hot Shots Tennis because stupid Sony is stupid.

Which is bizarre being that there is VT demo on the in-store demo stations. Not sure what teh fuck Sony is up to..but not having certain things on the US PSN is pretty bad. I think I even read that on the Japanese PSN they show screenshots of the games, which for some unknown reason they dont in the U.S./NA

Today I was using the web browser, and after 5 minutes the screen went off like normal. After a short while I unlocked it and refreshed the page, but it didn't reload anything. I looked at the wi-fi signal, but it wasn't there. Turns out I had been disconnected when it went into standby. I had to go to the Wi-fi Settings in order to connect manually, which also entails standing at the end of the hallway closer to the router. Is this going to happen every time my Vita goes resumes from standby? It's really a hassle that it doesn't just reconnect automatically.

The web browser will trigger the WiFi to reconnect automatically. However if WiFi is almost out of range, sometimes you'll need to retry the connection manually.

Also, do I really have to scroll all the way to the top of the page to hit Refresh? It's hardly feasible in these huge threads, especially the ones with images. And it would be nice if pages loaded to the right area when viewing a specific post.

Yes. I would like a reload "shortcut" too.

You'll know because the DLC will show up in missions.

I'm so glad it's on PSN and for £29.99, Koei games are always so hard to find.

European PSN Store also has screenshots in some of the games.

Just spoke to a a woman at customer service who set up a replacement. Took a little while to explain the exact problem but we got there in the end. I checked that I'll get the replacement before I have to send this back which is great.

Lucky I'm off Thursday!

Following on on the subject of my broken vita, I left it playing an episode of Thrones last night with the volume at max and while downloading some files just to run the battery down in the hope that might have some effect. Needless to say it did not.

Hopefully the replacement will be here in a timely fashion tomorrow so that I can get everything on to it before I got back to work for 5 days!

EDIT: Since the thread isn't racing along at 100ppm now I can just edit this in here. My replacement Vita is "dispatching soon" on Amazon for delivery tomorrow.

Guys can you help me with this?

1) Can I transfer my PSP save files into VITA so I can keep playing PSP games in there?

2) Can I play a multiplayer wireless PSP game on VITA against a PSP player in the same room? (let's say Dissidia VITA vs Dissidia PSP to help understand)

Thanks!

Does anyone know if the notifications popups can be turned off somewhere? I can't find an option to disable them. It is a big issue in Virtua Tennis 4. They cover up a big portion of the opponents side of the playfield. Impossible to see, what the opponent is doing and impossible to respond accordingly. It did cost me almost a championship :(

The blue dot with the numbers could stay, but i need the text popups to go away.
Yeah, this needs to be fixed. I think the only way around it for now is to make sure you're not online when playing. :(

That Gravity Rush DLC, 3 packs for 400 yen each. My question is, will they bundle them? Would be smart to do it. Not that I wouldn't buy them pending some impressions.

I thought the fireworks game wasn't too bad. If you put down 3 ar cards it can be challenging.

also, I wish the PSP compatibility list was better. Just tried downloading a bunch of PSP demos to me PS3 and none of them will transfer. And my 2 free games from the PSN outage (LBP and Syphon Filter) won't transfer :(
Is it Logan's Shadow? Isn't that on the Sony list of compatible games? I went looking for it on PSN to buy it for Vita and I couldn't find it. That sucks. I also don't get why Phantasy Star Portable is available in Europe buy not in the US anymore.

I tried Hot Shots last night and I really do not like this game at all will be putting on ebay.

It just does not feel like vita game, feels more like PS2 or PSP.

Am I the only one that feels like this?

Graphics wise yes but gameplay is very fun (to me) and that's what it's all about...right?

Sigh, just phoned Vodafone for the third time and they said that the Wipeout code can take up to 28 days to get sent to my Vita. I say BS but I guess I'll have to wait a month before I can get my copy when I inevitably have to phone them again :(

I am extremely irritated at the USB charging limitations.

Especially since they seem trivial and arbitrary.

At least there are already mods surfacing:
http://www.dannychoo.com/post/en/26419/PS+Vita+USB+Mod.html

And that guy didn't even really know what he was doing. But he got it to charge from a portable battery.

I hope 3rd parties make new Vita data/charge cables that remove this stupid limitation, as I'd like to use my Brunton Restore that I already own to recharge the Vita when I'm out of the country or away from wall outlets for extended trips.

EDIT - this solution is much better

I think you have forgotten what PS2 games look like.

Fire one up to compare.

This is relevant to my interests. I have a New Trent IMP 1000 11A portable charger that doesn't work with the Vita and would be perfect to keep me on the go since it's got enough to charge the Vita about 4 times over.

Will pick one of those little things up or something similar and bridge the two data connections as shown.

My Vita was freezing after taking it around with me on my travels, with just a black screen and unable to turn on after leaving it in sleep mode. Had to hold the power button down for 20 seconds to "restart." Battery was also getting drained something fierce in sleep mode.

I turned OFF the 3G and Bluetooth under settings, and I haven't had a freeze up since, and I've left it in sleep the whole time. Don't know if it's related, but it sure seems like it.

The Vita's battery is substantial, and USB power is not ideal for it, but you go with what you can. In other words I can forgive a slow charge due to USB limitations, but NOT stupid shorting of the USB jack itself, which they have done intentionally. So irritating.

One thing to note is that Vita charges over USB even when it doesn't display the charge-feedback (eg. if you plug it into PC).
Not sure if this varies with different types of USB ports though.

USB is fine for anything providing enough power. They are even releasing their own USB charger which it seems will just one of these standard portable batteries with the data pins shorted.

My charger can provide 5V and 1.0A so 0.5A less than the mains charger, but even if all it did was to slow down the power loss if I was on a long journey it would be enough.

I'm not going to need it often, but the fact that I CAN is important to me. I use that IMP 1000 for my phone and my SatNav with no issues so for the sake of a small modification to a USB adapter I'll also have the ability with the the Vita.

Yeah. I'm hoping I can just buy one (a proper adaptor) but I'll hack one together if need be.

DBT85 - do you know for sure that the Sony official USB cable has the short built-in? it's not like the one the system came with?

I'm taking the Vita to Cuba in a month or so, the Restore seemed ideal. But NOOOO, Sony's gotta be difficult.

I'm still confused as to how the Vita can tell the difference between my computer USB port (which causes the orange charge light to activate right away) and the Brunton (total no-go).

Is the Playstation Store down at the moment ? I keep getting error NP-8038-9 everytime I try to open the store and it prompts to Sign In, but it gives me the same error again.

There's scheduled maintenance for tomorrow, but you know it's Sony. They may have forgotten there's a leap year day in there or something.

Edit: Working for me.

Loving Uncharted but I think I need another game. Was really hoping to score in the buy 2 get 1 sales, but no place had all 3 games I wanted. I may just go pick up Hot Shots soon.

I haven't even seen Virtua Tennis but in 1 store and that was pre-launch and they had like 1 copy.

Apparently it's quite a common issue and similar hacks have been done before. If it gets one set of information it'll mount and charge, if it gets another it'll just charge (the car adapters for example) and if it gets another it will just do nothing. By using one of those adapters and shorting the data pins the Vita will believe it is connected to a car charger or the mains adapter and will charge as normal.

One thing I found from another site was this which looks like it might do what I want without any modification

The other was this which is similar to the one used in the link provided earlier. I'll mod that one tomorrow and see what happens and then I'll see what that little one does when it arrives.
