I really doubt this is made by From Software, just doesn't look like their creature designs at all.
I know Shuhei Yoshida sent Allan Becker from Santa Monica studios to Japan to help rebuild Japan Studios, this might be one of his initiatives. I know they really want quicker dev cycles, I can only hope this turns out as good as Gravity Rush ended up being!
You don't know if it's an internal effort or not. They have left out names before with projects they own the IP of.
And they really don't have anyone who could make a high-grade game like this.
Folklore was developed by Game Republic.Yeah, that might be it. I'm glad Allan is there at SCEJ now to shake things up. I want to see more from Sony Japan. They've brought out some gems this generation (Folklore, Siren: Blood Curse, and to an extent: Demon's Souls).

Safe!Game Republic!
Haha, you must have edited while I quoted you...
I think we would have seen From Software in the copyright notices by now if they were behind it.Regarding the developer, I'll say there is zero change of the game being by the Dark Souls team at From Software. If the game is indeed developed by From Software, then based on the teaser it would probably be the Otogi/MWC/NB team.

Eh, I guess you're right. I just feel we would have heard something by now, but I guess they could have kept it under wraps.Huh? Why? SCEJ owns the IPs they fund.
Yeah, very sad.Oh yeah, I guess Sony just owns the IP to it. RIP Game Republic.
Or is it 2013.
it could be Inafune's game.. the fonts are the same!

Yeah it's very possible but who would be developing it?

Woah, should've tagged it NSFW.
Looks like it could be Demon's Souls for the handheld community.
This. Reminded me a lot of Demon's Souls just from that snippet
Really? Did you play a different Demon's Souls? This is a fast paced action game with magic and no weapons.
Eh? No weapons? so it's only magic? is that confirmed?
Looks like it. The aesthetic of the Inafune video with the old books in the background matches up with what this game seems to be going for. Looks like a place a sorcerer would hang out.it could be Inafune's game.. the fonts are the same!

I got an ad for that anime about the friendless girl a little down the page featuring her bare ass.i dont see anything wrong with that page :S
Thematically it looks very much like a Demon's Souls game in what I can see from the setting, bosses etc. Maybe a slightly more anime spin thoughReally? Did you play a different Demon's Souls? This is a fast paced action game with magic and no weapons.

It's not "confirmed" because like everything else about the game it isn't fully unveiled yet. But if you look at the key visuals, and the footage shown so far, and the tag lines they're using for the game, it's clear that the big focus is on controlling combat mages who use brutal spells as attacks. You don't see any character holding any weapons at all.

What are you seeing that is not safe?
I don't think those make the same procedures; SCE JAPAN Studio assembles teams required by the actual assigned producers of each title they make (on a individual basis), while SCE Santa Monica Studio acts as an hub or production center for other small studios, helping them to focus on specific tasks they are more capable to do (or committed to do).Perhaps it's just me, but I feel like that's the Japanese equivalent of SSM at the moment (i.e. almost a conglomerate of development companies)?
I was of the same mindset until at about 27 seconds when you see this guy holding what looks like some giant sword? or maybe i'm seeing things because of all the effects going on.
