I still need to try Shantae GBC but after RR, I don't think I want to waste time and money on that.

But I'll probably succumb to Marcie and I'll hate myself for it though.

What about a Boy and his Blob? Or Sigma Star Saga? Or Aliens: Infestation? All of these are very good games and I dare you to find anything fundamentally wrong with them (OK, maybe the second boss battle in aBahB, but that's just one tiny part).

Okay, that's all fine and good. But I'm sure you're aware almost everyone who likes 2D games, likes WayForward. I'm not saying every single game they've made is perfect, but personally I think:

Are all great games.

I'm even looking forward to Double Dragon Neon, but I will readily admit I hate the artstyle. But all the actual hands-on impressions from PAX were almost universally positive.

My god, this thing is pure genius, it made me laugh so hard!!

i'm buying the all the US DVDs when i go there for E3, that's for sure.

Wayforward is hit or miss for me. They do great spritework, but that doesn't make the games fun.

Well Wayforward can make a decent game with a licensed IP, play Aliens Infestations.

I'm interested. Got hooked on Adventure Time a few months ago. It's so freaking random.

Look, if it's a generally inoffensive, jovial show with a colorful, simple art style, there's a really good chance that it really is either made "for" kids or intended to appeal to them ALONG WITH anybody else. Which is great. And it's great to enjoy it as much as you damn want. But if you can't or don't want to realize that it is on a certain level meant to appeal to children, who in all likelihood will be the ones driving its popularity, then you're entering a dangerous spiral of weak or insane arguments like the above, when all you need to do is go "so what?" and continue enjoying it on your own terms.

Which it isn't necessarily. They managed to sneak in a lot of bizarre stuff underneath. It's amazing how they managed to get around the censors on some of that.

Looking at it again, only the logo (the sword crossed with the letters), but that is actually from the show, it seems. Probably I saw the image a few pages back with the adventure time characters dressed as zelda characters, that influeced me when I saw the logo in the box art and then posted too kickly without looking long enough at the boxart.
