When Reggie is mentioning Retro Studios on the conference, I will be 50 % full of enthusiasm and 50 % full of fear of a furry space opera.

I'm gonna be blown away by the consoles features, the other stuff (USB 3.0, baby!) and Pikmin 3.

And the sheer amount of launch titles.

I want to be blown away by the online service. There are so many possibilities. Imagine playing Mario Kart with friends, chatting with all of them through the Upad and maybe even seeing them thanks to the camera.

On the other hand, I will be wearing my faux Samus helmet and dry-humping a Fox plushie, vigorously so if SFxM is confirmed, but coming to a heaving stop if it's something else. If Retro's making a new Zelda, I'll vigorously hump everything regardless. Doubly so if it's a new DKCR, but only if Kremlings are back -- PIRATE Kremlings.

Sure, compared to the Wii, but will it be the type of difference we saw when Sony/Microsoft showed during their 360/PS3 reveal? Will it be the type of stuff that Epic is about to reveal allegedly? I doubt it.

You're asking a bit much to see the same sort of difference between 2 HD machine as we saw with the move from old tech SD to HD with modern shaders.

If Wii U came out and ram 1080p, 60FPS with tesselation and all that shit I would actually think a lot of people still wouldn't be blown away. What I'm really hoping for is that this Nintendo magic that could be in the GPU is something that makes the lighting "pop" more realistic. That's where things should go, not necessarily just pushing more pixels.

I´m just waiting for the Nintendo Power reveal and the IdeaMan leak.

So please IdeaMan... Get out of the restroom already and start the real leak :D

People STILL are too hung up on technical graphics.

It's what you do with the specs, not what the specs do for you.

Everytime when I open a thread like the Eurogamer one, I look up in the sky and think:

"There is always a next-gen of consoles. But when will we see next-gen gamers? Hasn't the past taught us enough that graphics are great but not everything? When will they learn?"

Yeah, how about AI or scope, things that actually directly affect the gameplay???

We've come to the point where visuals are very good, I for one am not going to die without them getting much better.

I made this point in that thread and people still ended up talking about Call of Duty and technical specifications. Ugh.

Sometimes I wonder if people care more about bragging rights than the actual games and systems themselves.

I just can't fathom why many already want better visuals as if they aren't good enough.

They're better than they ever have been before.

Reminds me of the official Nintendo forums circa 2004.
The Nintendo NSider forums used to be really nice, though with a lot of garbage threads as well. Camp Hyrule was an awesome initiative in my opinion. Kinda sad those forums are no more and that only the Nintendo Tech Forums are left. But who knows, maybe the NSider forums will return as a community side of Wii U, surely there ought to be an official meeting place?
