Halo |OT4| Trust's a Tough Thing to Come by These Days

Close South Dakota here. The more north you go the more boring it gets. haha

I actually drove up to Yankton, South Dakota last Saturday thinking there would be some severe thunderstorms. Turned into a bust and the longest solo drive I've ever made within 24 hours (left Moore, Oklahoma at 9am on Saturday. Got back at 9am on Sunday). I now call Yankton, Wankton, instead.

Haha I'd be pissed to driving that far and not seeing anything. We haven't had much severe weather yet this year, but I usually find a tornado once a summer. Why on earth did you drive that far anyways? ha

(PS it's ok no one likes Yankton anyways)

Saturdays are about the only day of the week where I don't have to stay within 3 hours of work. So I wanted to take advantage of the opportunity, even if it ended up being a bad decision.

Man, I'm going to be sad if there are no non-power weapons that spawn on the map.

They must do, surely? How else would we get ammo? Maybe they're assuming we won't stay alive long enough to need more ammo.

I must say, I like the thought of having no power weapons on the map at the start of each match, will really change the complexion of those early-game exchanges. Should make it a lot more measured, nervy even at the start of each game without everyone going gung-ho to grab the rockets/sniper/pro-pipe/shotgun/sword etc.

where'd you hear that?

The leak a few pages ago stated it that there the only way to pick up weapons is from dead bodies and weapon drops. Of course, that doesn't say anything since Frankie already said some of there details are wrong.

But the podcast that we got a few weeks that tried to clarify some of the details in the game informer magazine also made me worry a bit too: When they talked about the weapon drops, they said that's not the only way to get weapons; you'd still be able to pick up weapons from the people you killed.

So it could just mean they haven't talked about regular spawning yet, which is what I'm hoping for, or it really isn't in normal matchmaking.

I'm seriously ready for the player drop-in. I'm tired of 4v2 before the match even starts and just getting whooped or getting penalized for leaving this dumb situation.

that was the best part of halo, not so much in reach though. fighting for camp, rockets, snipers was always the most intense moments

+1 A+ 110% agree over 9000 erotic driving just occurred in my pants. ^^^
As much as I don't like the idea of random power weapon spawns, I do love the idea of not focusing on power weapons at the beginning of a match. I'd like to see some gritty competition that doesn't initially rely on easy power weapon kills for maintaining control of maps.

I thought Frankie said there WILL be power weapons on map at initial spawn, but from then on they're 'psuedo-anti-semi-random' drops?

Wake up at 6am, finish all of today's work and chores by 1 in the afternoon.

Feels good man.

Damn, nice. Have you already finished the exam too? Or is that later?

And yeah, it sure would be interesting to see what way a team would act without weapons to rush. Although I assume it might start to become more about locking down a good location or something instead?

The pictures don't really do it justice. It feels seamless and the resolution is insane.

I talked to the tech guy about putting one in my bathroom and he says it was like, 30 PCs.

Anyway, my bathroom is super warm now, even if I don't eat Egg Kebabs and Dr. Pepper.

I can't wait until the days when we can order a roll of oleds and just stick it up on any wall. And then have some sort of super-kinect thing for controlling it like a sim from a movie. the future is so close

I don't know why some have argued against having a classic playlist when they are making so many radical changes. If anything, a classic playlist would be more justified than it was before because of its uniqueness.

Something tells me that 343 Industries is going to make sure there is a classic offering and that it is well-polished at launch.

Exam was in the middle of those chores, as was a 2 drive through traffic infested newcastle

It was piss easy.

Also it will definitely be about locking down a good location, that is one of the staples of halo.

Sweet, glad to hear it :)

And heh, yeah I get that. I just meant that it was never about locking down a location immediatly most of the time. Usually the weapons were priority and map control came from that (at least that's how I see it happening). I don't really know where I stand on the idea though. I mean, power weapons on the maps were a pretty huge part of the gameplay. But then I think about how every game we play on The Pit, Sanctuary, Powerhouse etc. all begin in the exact same way every time haha.

Either that or the goon who bought 13 rinsed all their stock. Hate people like that who're happy to admit they're just doing things for profit. Wish karma really existed.

That sort of thing just doesn't even enter my head, I saw it and was like "Oh cool! that's a great deal, I'll let my friends know about it!."

This guy sees it and thinks "CHA-CHING!"

Sometimes power weapons were also usually placed in ideal locations, therefore you weren't only fighting over the weapon itself but the prime real estate, for example the hill on valhalla (had a laser) etc.

It was a nice 2 for 1 situation. But yeah, I get what you mean.

Pre-order bonus from Best Buy from Reddit. Sister works there, see if I can get one :D

probably going to pre-order then cancel just to get one. these are the kind of pre-order things i like

If someone in the US were to pre-order from say, Mighty Ape (in NZ), would the bonus DLC marketplace codes be valid on a US Xbox or US Xbox LIVE account?
