Project P-100 (Nintendo/Platinum Games) announced for WiiU [Director: Hideki Kamiya]

Something I'm wondering about that I probably really shouldn't, at this point in time, is Platinum Games a wholly owned SEGA deal or is this them dabbling in playing for other publishers?

Plat is Plat, they just had a publishing deal with Sega for a set amount of games.

I'm not sure why you want them to waste work and money for high-poly models when 99.9% of the time you play the game with a distant perspective.

I know, haters gonna hate, but it's still sad to see when Kamiya puts his passion and talent into a game and people don't respect it.

So everyone criticising a bad-looking game is a hater now. Great.

Looks really good. This and Rayman are 2 killer games for the Wii U. I don't know if this will be enough to make me jump on board though.

Wants the largest console games publisher to avoid Nintendo's platforms.
What does it matter? It's part of a cutscene. But still it's ugly.
If you stop-frame it.
And it's not as if the rest of the trailer looks particularly great, rather like a rough&early (or just low budget) Xbox 360 game.
Game visuals match the entire concept of the game - that's what art direction is about. What would you expect for a game like this - GT5 visuals?

I hate to admit this because I think the Wii U looks like a garbage console, but after watching the Gamespot Live footage this game looks amazing.

This game makes me want a WiiU, but I don't think itself will justify the purchase.

Am really bummed that this essentially confirms the Bayonetta cancellation, though...

There should be a warning on this thread. Something like "WARNING: If Gameplay isn't Important to You, Leave Thread Immediately! Also; Derp."

I just realized, this explains why Kamiya was saying he wanted to see Nintendo's conference yesterday on his Twitter. He was trying to figure out how he could watch it.

I really love the graphics of this, the scenraio looks like a beautiful model toy city, and has lots of cool details to look amazing.

Also its looks incredibly fun.

Hail, peons, for I have come as ambassador from the great and bountiful Blueberry Butt Explosion
If they're smart, and they launch P-100 as a launch day title, I will buy a Wii U at launch. No question.

The screens disappointed me. But damn that gameplay video looks fun.

As usual with Platinum Games. Can they NOT make a fun game?

*video got 300 dislikes in five minutes*

*thread full of "FUCKING NINTENDO RUINING BAYONETTA 2"*

Man

Why didn't they show this at the conference, I wonder

Good possibility.

To the person who said this looks like an old school game that doesn't fit in but kinda needs to be here done...I agree.

Yeah. This really looks like amazing. I mean there's Pikmin which I'm really looking forward to and there's no doubt Nintendo will tap their usual stable later on but this is a true system seller to me. Just outstanding.

So this is a launch title?

Nice, the sooner Kamiya works on AAA games and publishers that give him more than 4$ the better.

Same. This game and the fact that I'll be able to DD it on its release date sold me on the system, but not a day before this releases. Nothing else shown for the system has really, really grabbed me.

This was my game of E3, though, so it all works out.

I love that the style of graphics chosen, along with the horsepower of the Wii U will allow for some crazy, crazy scenarios. The City collapsing, while fighting atop the mech was probably only the tip of it all.

Post-battle rankings of Time, Damage, Score, new enemies get special introduction scenes, solid-looking action

It's a Kamiya game alright
