Damn, is it bad if I can see more fun in that video than in the Pikmin 3 trailer?
And seriously, instead of showing some seriously fun gameplay during the conference, Nintendo decided to instead put up...Sing? The reveal for this game could've been way more awesome. Hell, the reveal could've been Kamiya walking up on stage, typing up one of his strange twitter replies, and leaving during the video. I would've been happy with that even.

Ask yourself: Why were such assy-looking characters put in the trailer if this wasn't the case?
People are just bitter Nintendo didn't unleash every game they are working on, but only the ones coming before the holiday season. :\
I'll pratically get the same thing as you except Zombi U. I'll probably get Darksiders 2 and Cloudberry Kingdom (downloadable game) as well.
You should probably play Viewtiful Joe... and Bayonetta... and DMC. Because no.

There was a lot of hype for the Capcom 5. RE4, PN03 and VJ together were system sellers. There was a certain charm in the way VJ was marketed, but this is completely dropping the ball by Nintendo. They should have hyped it more, they should have hyped everything about the Wii U more. As it stands Wii U is a disaster and sadly, this game is going to be sent to the dust bins of time. Nintendo has dropped the ball with Sin & Punishment 2, Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower, Metroid Other M and the launch of 3DS. I wish I had something more positive to say. Perhaps it's better in the end that the game is hopefully being developed on a low budget. I hope it gives Platinum the money they need to keep the wheels turning because I don't want to see them go the way so many other devs have gone this gen. They are one of the best Japanese developers left.

I don't understand the hate in this thread. This looks fantastic! Bright, fast and I'm sure there is loads of game play nuances in it as well.
Probably because when they started it there were no final specs. You should know by now that first gen games are never really that impressive, a bit of a step up, sure, but most release titles have been in development before the hardware was final. Apart from First Party stuff, but they're on a different page and have been working together with R&D. It's not until the second gen of titles launched do you see some impressive stuff emerging.
Same thing happened with Bayonetta and Vanquish.

This game looks ace. I was appalled at the like/dislike ratio on the youtube video when I first saw the trailer. Sad to see that they were all gaffers as well

as stated before Nintendo ussually does this. Dropping titles either through the web site or other less conventional means throughout E3. Probably cause they know the core audience has access to find these games. I have no problem with it.
This has been the most refreshing glass of RIGHT in a steaming hot mess of WRONG that has been the majority of E3. I can't get this game out of my head. It speaks to me on so many different levels. Platinum Games is one of the very few developers that is still carrying the torch for GOOD FEEL GAMES. This is the kind of shit that would have come out in the Clover days. P-100 looks SO old school too, almost like something that would have rocked the scene during the SNES era. PERFECT. It's also the kind of game that doesn't belong in today's market, but at the same time NEEDS to be there.
I would feel so on top of the world right now if I was Platinum. With Anarchy Reigns & Metal Gear Revengeance and now this...forget about it! Shame on people if these games don't do well for them.

That's definetly what I didn't wanted from Platinum Games and Kamiya. But I'd have to deal with it. Dosn't look that bad either.

Looks good, I'm glad Platinum Games is developing relationships with other publishers. Nintendo was stupid for not showing this off at the conference.

I'm not sure why you want them to waste work and money for high-poly models when 99.9% of the time you play the game with a distant perspective.
I know, haters gonna hate, but it's still sad to see when Kamiya puts his passion and talent into a game and people don't respect it.

Something I'm wondering about that I probably really shouldn't, at this point in time, is Platinum Games a wholly owned SEGA deal or is this them dabbling in playing for other publishers?
