I don't understand why they can just make a new FF title using the same engine that FF3 had (the DS port).
This is RPGMaker XP...
Seriously SE?
I didn't say it looked like a good Flash game.In 2003 maybe.
Newgrounds and flash games are far beyond that now.

They better offer a full pixelated mode, because this inconsistent crap (and how nasty the smoothing looks anyway) is awful.

Stop half-assing it, SE. I can't believe they still don't realize that they could make a killing on iOS if they actually made a decent FF game and priced it right.
FF1 and 2?
Those released over 2 years ago and they still constantly pop up in the top 25 RPG section of the app store. Their ability to not fall off the face of the earth for 2 years is pretty impressive I'd say. They probably made some nice money on it in the long run but we'll never know.
I tend to agree though, I wish they would do something really awesome. FF dimensions will probably be really cool, though, despite the horrible art.

Drakerider sounds like it has the potential to be something really awesome.
Is he shitting a fire snake?

Am I so wrong in thinking that if Square-Enix:
- Made an original "FF" game in 2D for iOS
- Aimed for an FF4 level of content
- Used it as an opportunity to try out new, up-and-coming artists, directors, and composers
- Put a modicum of effort into making it look decent, given the platform
- Sold it for $10
it could probably be extremely successful?
Thing is this doesn't seem TOO bad, they just took a shit on it in porting, seemingly ignoring that, hey, we're also nostalgic for the original look! Though they did this with FFIV: The After Years and that didn't have any filter options.Square please let Final Fantasy die while it still retains a little dignity.
That looks awful on every front. I swore that the original Japanese version looked better!
lmfao is firesnake shitter a reoccurring boss?I agree.
Yeah, the original mobile phone version I posted up there didn't look bad, and the iOS/Android Japanese port looked really good.I agree.
Hideous. They added a hideous filter.
RPG Maker XP is that you?
I honestly think we'll get there. Probably $15 though.Am I so wrong in thinking that if Square-Enix:
