Alright guys, I'm looking for a black leather baseball style jacket. Something similar to this:

No fancy pockets, no epaulettes, no hoods, just ribbed cuffs and a zip front. Any recommendations?

I'm so sorry you missed the toj cutoff. The ribbed collar cwu is pretty much exactly that. Not very many people are making simple things like that, it's either been distressed to hell or covered in detailing. Or it's expensive as hell. I was in this exact boat a few months ago heh.

You might try RRL or Polo RL on eBay?

I'm looking for some nice sport coats that don't cost too much. I really like the modern style sport coats/blazers that don't come ridiculously far down your hip; I want to keep it relatively close to the hip line. Obviously not on the hip line, but relatively close. I really don't want a plain ugly black thing either. I want to buy this today! Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get something like this under $150?

Just got these for work (I'm a banker)

$60. Robert Wayne. What do you guys think of them given their intended use and price? I don't know much about RW quality (read: probably bad) but they look great and at $60 I felt they were a decent deal on some work shoes.

RW quality is pretty bad (for their feux leather stuff) and the leather definitely looks cheap, but then again, it's $60. Just be ready for creases and softspots after a few weeks. Maybe take a trip to an AE outlet where you can find Park Aves and McAllisters for $169.

J Crew and BR are prolly your best bets. JC recently released a navy version of their Thompson blazer, which has a really nice cut for $190ish.

Yeah man, I figured TOJ was one of the few places left making simple pieces. Any word on when they start taking orders again? It's frustrating seeing a bunch of jackets that are ruined by detailing.

Have you tried sizing down? I've been wearing a 42L for years but I recently bought a 40R blazer (the one a couple pages back) and it fits perfectly. Much shorter and more modern.

Otherwise, basically what Bob said. J. Crew is a good, affordable option. I would very much recommend their stuff.

Fashion-GAF: long time lurker, first time poster. I saw this jacket on 30 Rock last night and really took a liking to it, does anyone know of anything similar?

Yep, just looks like a pretty standard double-breasted trench coat or something along the same lines. You should have no problem finding something similar.

I started to watch White Collar, and I love the main character's fashion sense. He's so bloody stylish. He can actually pull of a fedora.

Hi FashionGAF:

Should I pull the trigger on a pair of Red Wing Beckmans in Black Cherry now, or wait to see if the store I'm buying from gets them in stock in my size in Cigar?

is the black cherry going to be as versatile as the cigar?

I'm definitely feeling the Cigar a hell of a lot more, but that's just me (maybe because I have a pair of Iron Rangers in Amber).

Yeah, me too, especially because I'm about to make a belt that'll more or less have that shade. I sent in a request about my size (I'm trying to buy from Revolve), I'll see what they have to say. It was just a matter of "Hmm, I can have them right now if I settle for this color..."

I like the Iron Rangers more aesthetically, but I've got to deal with New England winters and the prospect of going through the hassle of getting them resoled doesn't excite me.

If you're feeling the Cigar a bit more too I'd just say hold off until you can get those. No need to settle especially when you probably won't have to wait that much longer probably.

Anyways guys, I'm heavily thinking about attending fashion design school. I originally wanted to study graphic design, but I ended up shying away from that, and my interest in fashion and working in the industry has only increased. Right now I'm looking the couple schools across in Vancouver, mostly because that's where I want to move to.

Hey guys, I've been following this thread for some time but it's my first time posting here. I'm looking for a good clothing online store, I live in Europe, something like this one . I like that one but I would like to see some other options.

You try Topman? Not sure on your price range, but this is in that ballpark.

You all have any suggestions for some very comfortable walking shoes that look nice and go with khaki shorts, as well as straight leg jeans?

Needing to find some shoes for PAX, but want them to look nice with jeans and shorts alike.

I like those. They aren't showing up on any of the site I buy from though, where's the best place to buy? Also do they have white on white version? Wasn't sure if getting a colored version would go well with different colored shirts, shorts.
On mah phone, but try searching various sneakerhead stores etc or eBay. If you just want std white/white the standard blazer is pretty similar IMO.

totally

but I do it anyway 'cause idgaf

thinking about copping some hi top PF Flyers; can anyone tell me how they compare to Chuck Taylors?
The fit is a little narrow about the toes, but I'm pretty sure they run the same size. I have a pair and they're great
