Yep. A lot of people don't realize the outfits they see are pinned and clipped to perfection. That's not to say you can't achieve the same look through good tailoring though.

Are you in America? Levi's are a very popular cheap option. The 501 line is quite loved.
Yeah, Levi's has done a good job of adapting to the denim trends over the past few years. They have a lot of newer cuts now and some of them are on par with lots of the $200+ designer stuff fit wise.

Definitely a good cheaper option if that's what you're looking for.

Looking at ordering some shoes. I want both boat shoes and some nice sneakers. Issue I am having is finding which Sperry's go with the most colors best. I have a few colors of khaki material shorts (tan, dark green, dark blue) that I wear with mostly plain colored t-shirts. Brown seems to be the best, but which brown? Light or dark? I just can't picture brown going with darker green shorts either.

I kind of like these, but not sure they will go with all colors of shorts.

For sneakers I was thinking something all white. Maybe some classier Nikes?

Maybe these?

Or better yet, some more pants like these (dress pants that are sweat pants) but not the BetaBrand ones as those are a bit expensive:
The only times I have seen this done for menswear (you realize you linked women's pants yeah? :p) are by fashion labels, and those are $$.

Honestly tho,it would look weird, having no zipper/button placket on the front of pants, especially if worn with a typical dress shirt. What about pull on slacks appeals to you?

:lol yeah... I thought I clicked on mens. Well, nothing will be tucked in, so you won't see any of that area. What appeals to me? Laziness and being comfortable at work. The latter "at work" not applying to the former "laziness".

Sperry's are so ugly. I work in a business casual environment and people told me to buy them for comfort. They looked fucking awful with chinos.

Identifying with a brand is important to me. Same with brand synchronicity. How are you going to wear GAP and Supreme at the same time? Or Dior and Stussy? Just stupid.

I agree, most boat shoes look like crap.

^ugly branding

Also, a package came for a housemate from forever 21. Do they even sell men's clothing?

514s are pretty great and 513s are even better (but harder to find, they're a new line).

Have you looked into pants with say 3-5% elastic in them? I have a pair, and it is really like wearing pajamas.

I have not. Do you have any examples? I don't know what I'd be looking for/at to find them.

something like our legacy relaxed trousers

Who's "our".

stealth edit: I'll just look at the image source. These better not be expensive

edit: Yeah they are expensive... however look like something I'd be interested in for cheaper. I can't find those on the site or any place that sells them.

Okay, here's a look I'm working on that I'm pretty excited about.

This is the Hugo Boss patch pocket blazer that I told you guys about a few weeks ago. I went with a shorter fit and love it since I'm mostly just going to be wearing it with jeans. The bowtie is Naked & Famous (red chambray), as are the jeans.

Thoughts? Bowties are completely new for me but I'm trying to branch out for Fall.

LOL nope this is a different jacket and it didn't quite break the bank. It was actually less than half of that Paul Smith one.

I can still eat steak.

Why the long case?
Man Gaf,

I can't tell you how much I hate being short. I love slim cut styles when it comes to fashion, and it just never feels like I can pull it off. Tall dudes have it so much better.

The Mako 2-eye Cano Boat Shoe is classic, and this color goes with everything.

I'm only 5'7", short people can make slim cuts werk

I'm short and slim fit stuff is all I can pull off. Also can anyone tell me how Levi's 511 fit compared to 508s? I don't want to get a pair that's excessively skinny.

510's are the only "skinny jeans" made by Levis.

511's are skinnier than 508's in my experience. If you want denim that fits tighter but does not suffocate your legs, 511's are the best option, though I prefer the fit of H & M stuff if the price needs to stay within that range.

Thanks I'll definitely try a pair since I can get them for $40 for a pair from zappos.

That's a rad look. I'm def feeling it.

I had been wanting to start take my wardrobe in a 'smarter' direction, but now I find myself wanting to head back to more a more "street" style. I might go shopping this weekend so we'll see what I pick up. I still want some loafers (that fit), and I'm not comfortable at this point ordering them online, so I might go and see if I can peep any women's loafers that might look more 'unisex' since my feet are so small.

I love your facial expressions.

I like the look of those sperrys, just wondering how they'd look with dark green shorts and black or brown shirt.

I know they will look fine with tan shorts. Almost feel like they go best with light colors.
They go well with everything brah. I have lime green shorts, yellow shorts, orange shorts, salmon shorts, and baby blue shorts--all look great because of the two shades of brown present in the shoes.
