My poor wallet is going to take a massive beating from this sale: ;_;

Alan Wake's American Nightmare - 600msp
(which I will not play until I beat The Signal and The Writer when it eventually goes on sale).
Blood Forge
Assault Heroes 2
Stacking (300MSP is pretty damn good despite not liking the demo all that much)
Rayman 3 HD (maybe; I have the Gamecube version; not sure if I want to double dip on it like I did with BG&E HD)

And maybe to the either two Sonic games; I don't have much of an interest in them. Will wait for Sine Mora to be cheaper in another couple of months before I bite on it. I already have a few of those other games.

People should check out Joe Danger: SE; it's fun in short bursts and it has charming visuals. Which reminds me, now that I see the DLC on sale, I'm going to have to bite on it as well. These sales are seriously going to kill my wallet!

I played the PC demo and it's probably one of, if not the best beat em up released this year. But it looks really weird at 30fps because it moves so fast. It's extremely chaotic. The PC version has an unlocked framerate.
I had no idea there was a PC version. I'm downloading the demo now. Thanks!

EDIT - I just tried it. I don't think it plays any better than the 360 version really. There are no graphics settings and the screen seems squashed as there's huge black bars top and bottom, while the 360 version is full screen. Unless I'm missing some graphics setting somewhere, then I'm just gonna get the 360 version as it's cheaper too.

You really should be buying Sine Mora over Bloodforge. Hell, you should probably re-buy one of the games you already have instead of Bloodforge.

Not enough love for Rock of Ages going around! It's easily my favorite out of this crop of sale games.

Spartacus goes F2P:

Spartacus Legends, an upcoming fighting game based on the STARZ television series Spartacus, will be included on Xbox Live Arcade as part of the console's pilot free-to-play program, as well as a free-to-play title on PlayStation Network, Ubisoft announced today.

The upcoming title focuses on accessibility for users new to the game, and ensures that competition will remain fair by offering high-tier items for purchase which can only be used if the player has gained enough fame in-game.

Those playing can take on the role of Spartacus, Crixus, or a customized gladiator, and fight in both offline and online multiplayer while attempting to rank on the worldwide leaderboard.

Yep, enjoyed it when it first came out. The demo is worth trying just to see the art style in action.

Couple of new Ubisoft games,

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. Thread for it here.

Thunder Wolves - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Tdqhdp89sk
Calling the craziest helicopter pilots: the notorious Thunder Wolves are looking for a new member to join the fight against global terrorism. Thunder Wolves brings a daredevil, arcade shooter to Xbox LIVE® Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®Network and Windows PC in the first quarter of 2013.

Thunder Wolves puts gamers in the hot seat of an experienced helicopter group that has survived a flurry of bullets and caused more destruction than the Seventh United State Army. Gamers will embark on a variety of missions including high-risk convoy protection, deploying a commando on fast-moving train or unleashing hell on a fully destructible battlefield.

With over 30 combinations of choppers and weaponry, gamers can play through the campaign to upgrade their chopper with additional weapons and defensive tools to create the ultimate aerial hunter. Thunder Wolves also features a two-player co-op - one gamer playing as the pilot and the other as the gunner - giving gamers an opportunity to establish aerial dominance with a friend.

I bought Alan Wake and Stacking last night, and will probably buy Rayman 3 and the Sam and Max games this weekend and may even pick up Joe Danger and Sonic 4 Ep 2 (I already own all the other Sonic games on XBLA). I can't wait to have more games I won't play!

I pulled the trigger on Sine Mora. I LOVE it! My favorite shooters are the slower paced ones like Ikaruga, R-Type Delta and Einhander so this game is really up my alley!

You can change the resolution in a config file.

Does the XBLA version run at 60fps? Maybe I'm just sensitive to that type of thing.

Picked up Rocket Riot and PvZ and Vengeance and Virtue tables. Yes.

More impressions of Mad Riders would be welcome. Very middling reviews. Is Warp worth $5? If I haven't gotten Alan Wake yet, should I hold off on American Nightmare?

Yes Warp is worth it. I bought it earlier this year for 800 points and had a great time with it.

I'm gonna download Mad Riders tonight and post some impressions. Their first effort in this genre (nail'd) wasn't that great which is why this didn't get a retail release, so I approach this with some caution.

Just played through Warp and it was great fun. It's not super long, maybe 3.5 to 4 hours, but there are 3 endings, the game plays really well, the puzzles are fun, there's a speed-run achievement, you can sort of sequence break / break into areas that are supposed to be closed off if you exploit some glitches, there's challenge rooms. It's sort of like a stealth puzzle game with Metroidvania-ish progression. Great presentation. Totally recommend for $5.

My Gold membership is gonna expire next week and I don't want to renew it for now, so I'm seriously tempted to grab Sonic 4 Episode 2, Alan Wake AN and Raskulls just for deal's sake.

Considering I got Sonic 4-1 at the last discount but it's still sitting on my backlog and I have to play original Alan Wake yet (and I don't plan to do it any soon), would you guys think I'm gonna waste my points?

There's also that NeoGeo sale on US PS Store which is fancy...

I'm in the same situation with Sonic - I already have ep1 but haven't gotten around to it yet, but I still picked up ep2 because, well, getting it for 600MSP is always better than getting it for 1200. It's pretty rare and takes a long time for games to get permanent discounts, and the choices of games for sales are normally pretty damn random, so there's no way of knowing if this is the last chance of getting a certain game at a discount. I pretty much always pounce on any game I have any interest in when it's on sale, regardless if I plan to play it in the near future or not.

I think I had Portal lying around for something like 2 years after I got it in a sale and before I finally played it. (Because I had already played it in Orange Box, I'm not crazy!)

Seriously, get Warp. It's awesome, especially for 400MS points. I bought it a couple of days ago and it sucked me in no time. I had to force myself not to finish it in one sitting. It's a charming puzzle game with upgrades and locked areas and a not obscene amount of collectibles and unlockables.

Which packs exactly this Season Pass includes?

I have 1 or 2 early packs maybe it is worth to buy the season pass. But its description says " You'll receive access to six packs of ten new cars to be released monthly from November, 2011 through April, 2012". The later packs are not included? I assume Porsche Pack is also not included.

Packs included are

November Speed Pack
Dezember IGN Pack
January Jalopnik Pack
February American Le Mans Series Pack
March Pirelli Car Pack
April Alpine Stars Pack

The Porsche Pack and everything that followed after is NOT included.

Thanks. But it also includes the American Muscle Car Pack, right? From 10/10/2011. Its description says: If you own Forza Motorsport Season Pass DO NOT purchase this content here as you will be charged again.

Hey guys for some reason I have neglected xbla for too long. Just purchased mark of the ninja and got 1200 points to spare?

I see limbo on sale and I hear it's awesome. So limbo or fez? Really enjoyed dead light but I hear it drops off dramatically in the second half.

Man, Limbo and Fez are both awesome. I don't think you'll lose out either way so download the demos and see which grabs you the most I guess.

...but get both eventually.

Get Limbo & Geometry Wars 2 that are both on sale then get Fez, play the hell out of these 3 amazing games and then come back here for more awesome games recommendations. :p

Alan Wake was good, right? I hate blind buys. Wish Mark of the Ninja was 800, or I would've purchased that with my leftover points instead.

AW AN is excellent for that price. Absolutely excellent. And MotN is worth the 1200, easily, maybe more than any other XBLA title this year, IMO.

Yeah, I remember watching an E3 video and really liking the 2D stealth, but I'm at 1020 pts and really don' t feel like putting more money in the digital wallet.
