what does the rainbow color hint at?
That there's an Apple event happening.
what does the rainbow color hint at?
For some reason I read your previous post as 1080x720 so I figured you were talking about 3:2. 16:9 4.5" makes me want to barf. The new iPhone 5 form factor is 16:9 if you haven't noticed. 3:2 is the past. Extending that to 4.5" 1280x720 should not be too wide.
they really gotta bring something special out of their ass to drag the happy owners of galaxy s iii's back to an iphone.
because i know for sure i am never going back to apple.
I wish the event was on tuesday, bah. Won't be able to follow it live.
Tuesday is Sept 11. It's understandable why Apple wouldn't hold their event that day. They'd be widely accused of grotesque insensitivity, etc.
From not a single line of his post did I infer that Apple raped his dog.Cool story bro. You managed to contradict yourself so blatantly in only a few words. You claim they need to pull something special to convince GS3 owners (not exactly the niche Apple is aiming for) then state you will 'never' go back to Apple, making it clear you don't actually have an open-mind like you're pretending to, and will hate whatever they show no matter what. Troll much? Did Apple rape your dog?

Maybe you need to chill out.

Seriously. Like anyone who just bought a phone is looking to pay an early term fee in the first place.

Now THAT would make me upgrade my 4S. Sad but true. Although you can't use 4G on that network can you? After some googling, from now until Wednesday I'm praying that the iPhone 5 will support what is apparently certain AWS frequencies to allow Wind Mobile to get the phone.
Apparently some dude at T-Mobile said that it's possible with the chipset he's seen for the phone, but whether Apple will make it happen or not is up in the air. There's way too much I don't understand or know about the complexities of networks and whatnot, but I certainly hope that the Wind network could support the iPhone if it happened.
Yeah, this is true. They're already doing whatever they can to try to fuck up all the upstarts, and yeah the networks would probably explode but rapid expansion would follow. I'd be willing to take a small hit to support those companies that don't try to actively fuck over everyone with their pricing. Now THAT would make me upgrade my 4S. Sad but true. I don't think AWS is going to happen though. If WIND or Mobilicity kept their current pricing plans enabled for the iPhone 5 it would cause the network to explode due to everyone moving over to them. I somehow can't see the big 3 of Telus, Rogers, or Bell having good things to say about that either. I don't know what, if anything, they could do about it, but they run shit in this country so I'm sure they'd find someway to stop WIND and Mobilicity from stealing a massive portion of their business.
Looks like they may actually be introducing an iPod mini line. Basically that form factor, but with a larger full-on touch screen and a home button. Looks like they'd be going backwards imo (case leaks from today);Talking about new iPods and rainbows, I really wish they'd bring these back.
I bought one for a family member and it was pretty awesome. I'm always tempted to buy one for myself whenever I see them around.

Worth noting that MacRumors was forced to take these shots down from their site (and they did). If this is what these things really look like, it's basically an ugly mini-Lumia;

But we'll have to wait and see.[/QUOTE]Wow, that... doesn't look that great. Hope I'm proved wrong.
I don't know about price but let us know if you do get rid of it for how much it went for. I have the same phone as you and bought mine unlocked from the Canadian store. I think I remember you buying it on launch day (night) as well.I'm selling my 4S (16GB, unlocked, mint condition, yadda yadda). In Canada, they're 649+13% tax new. Is selling for 500 flat unreasonable? I figure when they announce the 5, the 4S will drop to 549+tax so they'll be saving 100+ versus buying new.

I wonder how my grandfathered "unlimited data" plan from AT&T will be affected by these new phones?
I mean, I've never really checked my usages but I'm constantly, constantly using data. I use Spotify almost exclusively for my music, I use Facebook Twitter & Instagram throughout the day, constantly browsing the web, etc - but I've never gotten any notice or reduction or cap put on my data.
If the new iPhone has 4G, do I HAVE to use it? Or can I just keep truckin' with 3G and my classic plan?
No, it's not. The 4G label on AT&T 4S is a lie and a scam. The 4S is "4G", I used casually switched between my Lumia 900 (LTE) and my old 4S. You will need a new SIM card if you want to use LTE.
The 4s is hspa+ if I'm not mistaken. Might not even be that fast. The 4S is "4G", I used casually switched between my Lumia 900 (LTE) and my old 4S. You will need a new SIM card if you want to use LTE.

But we'll have to wait and see.
Well LTE can be rather fast if the network is not clogged. I've seen speeds upwards of 50 mps, that's faster then my home cable. The problem is they give you such a small Cap that you can literally blow it all in a hour if you tried hard enough. What's the point of LTE anyway? It's not like you get more than a few mbits on either 3 or 4G right?

The 4S will de to 549+tax and will likely be 8GB. But it'll be brand new in box, 1 year warranty and Apple might give it a slight bump in specs they did the iPad 2.I'm selling my 4S (16GB, unlocked, mint condition, yadda yadda). That's not what the case makers are advertising it as. But if you mean that in reply to my mini-Lumia comment, it really does look like a Lumia's design (the screen bit, anyway). That form and shape is nothing like an iPod touch. You mean a mini iPod touch. Man, you really hate everything these days.
Haha what are the odds. I believe they're the ones who requested MacRumors to pull the images, so you could ask about that.LOL I work for that Puro case maker, Monday I'll ask for news.
Perhaps not ugly, but outdated looking.I don't get them backing off the watch angle, but it's not ugly.
Perhaps not ugly, but outdated looking.
And yeah, that really doesn't make sense to me. That is a clear iOS device, why ditch it? The old iPod Nanos I understand, because they're running the legacy iPod ui, but there's no reason to ditch the watch Nano.
They really should just call it an iPod Mini, as that's exactly what it is. The iPod Nano name suits the watch design more so than any other Nano before, stupid move if it's dropped.
Speaking of which, the Nano line has always come across as the weakest to me for this very reason.I agree, it's only someone's render but it would be a strange move. They got a lot of mileage from the watch style, and could probably do it better now as well.
Those look dated, and it's just not striking enough for the Nano range. Then again I'm not a fan of what we've seen of the iPhone 5 yet either. So unless Apple come up with some great porn shots of everything maybe the theme of everything is going to be 'a bit ugly'.
Apple do have their off years - iPod 3rd gen, the fat Nano ...
So how much you guys think I can sell my iPhone 4S 32GB for...
Speaking of which, the Nano line has always come across as the weakest to me for this very reason.
When they drastically change the design and then back within a years time, it gives you the sense they don't really care, don't know what they're doing, or are willing to experiment more with that line than others.
Then again that is beneficial as we get a clearer gauge of what works and what doesn't. Still, the watch works, so I don't get why they would replace it even if this new mini-iTouch works/sells just as well.
Seems like a clear step backward from the form factor of these beauties;
I want a bright blue iPhone. Goddamnit apple.
It is to sell you bigger data plans. 3 gigs is nothing on LTE.What's the point of LTE anyway? It's not like you get more than a few mbits on either 3 or 4G right?
Buy a case. There.
