Truth be told, I still kind of skeptical that we will see such large environments and get to move freely in them.
Yeah, Ryan (IGN) is great. He was at OXM for years before. He knows his stuff. Can't believe people are complaining about the commentary.

Solace is pretty small also, 4v4. Looks like a great symmetrical map.
I have high hopes for Haven and Solace, the other two I dunno.

Solace looks like it will work well as a smaller competitive multiplayer map.
I do agree though, I do want a very simple arena map in the vein of The Pit or Midship - It will need to be scaled up, but I think it could work.
A lot of the maps shown, Haven, Solace and Adrift included have a lot more pathways and complexity than the arena maps of old. I think theres still a place for the older simpler type of map.

There's always this overanalysis whenever vids like those walkthroughs go up about the awkward tension between whoever are participating. I dunno, can't expect everyone to have amazing chemistry, but they just come off as some dudes who probably barely know eachother chatting it up.

If I was impossible to please I wouldn't have pre-ordered the limited edition in the financial state I'm in at the minute. I haven't even bought Fifa yet, which is pretty much sacrilege.
People discussing Solace, I initially didn't know what you were on about but then, after a quick Google, I remember that map. Is that 4v4? It looked really big from footage. Perhaps I'm wrong, but that's another reason I sort of discarded it to the back of my mind, because my initial impressions led me to conclude it was a larger map.

The new maps definitely look nice... I'm guessing the pattern is that vegetation is either too taxing or not considered worth the tradeoff in multi. I guess that's okay as long as we get good performance, then.
