I notice that there's a Blackwell Bundle for $20, containing all 4 games, I wouldn't mind getting this bundle if all 4 games are good.

Also I asked about this in the Point n' Click thread, but wanted to get some more impressions from here;

I haven't played Hamlet but the other games he suggested are excellent. I particularly like the Blackwell series.

edit: The Ben and Dan games are notable for being the best-written comedy adventure games since LucasArts died, provided that you're not offended by a little toilet humor.

isnt that view a bit too plain?

Kinda necessary w/2000 games. Pretty hard to scroll around otherwise.

*tests something out*

Oh. Looks like key presses jump to that letter in grid view. That helps. Hm, maybe I will make the switch. Sure is purty.
if you add icons near them they load fast i believe.

I'm 410 ahead of him and we're both missing a lot of games that aren't on Steam anymore. One of my Australian friends has over 3000 though and it drives him insane that he's missing a few that he'll never get.
Wait, he collects Steam games? That's insane.

Also I asked about this in the Point n' Click thread, but wanted to get some more impressions from here; I'm thinking of getting the Sherlock Holmes Bundle from Steam, but would like a few additional impressions before I get it.
I was advised that the best game in the bundle is the Silver Earring, while the others are hit or miss.

Hamlet is cute, but I would call it neither good, neither bad.

I would recommend waiting until the upcoming sale in a few weeks. The Blackwell games are really good, but you can probably grab that pack for 10 or less.

you may wait for the next Groupees Build a bundle if you want it. It will have stellar impact
http://groupees.com/bab4

And if you need a suggestion for a second game (you have to choose min 2 games and pay min 1.50$ for this bundle), I highly suggest Quasir (an indie game released in August, made in Brazil, and finalist for IndieCade 2012) so that you can enjoy the game and upvote it on Greenlight. It is only on Desura for this bundle, but there is a small hope we would find a Steam key on the Desura Steam-keys page if the game is greenlit. There is a demo for Windows and Mac, and I would have expected this game in a HIB if only there were a Linux build.

EDIT: Should I play Portal 1 before playing Portal 2?

Thanks for the info, will check ben and dan, and will hopefully not be put off by the toilet humor XP

Will do, thanks for the heads up.

I own some games at retail that I would like to redeem on steam :(

not even counting games like Sacred 2 which are out of keys and not possible to redeem forever.

Thanks for the ffedback on Portal 1 guys, hope i'll end up liking it as I tend to give up real quick when a puzzle proves too much for my linear thinking XP

So I started a Berzerker on Normal in Torchlight II a while back, got through Act I and just wasn't feeling it. Got bored and just kind of set the game aside. After reading a few posts in this thread I started a new game/Engineer on Veteran and it's more definitely more satisfying. In Veteran you can't just click on an enemy and hold mouse 1 until they die. With some enemy types, large mobs or elite enemies you actually have to maneuver around and start making use of your abilities.

Perfectly able to grasp the inherent value of the fishing game.
What is the consensus of the HD 7870?

A friend is selling his and I might bite. It will be a big upgrade from my 4850 :lol

It's good, I have a 7850 clocked at near 1200Mhz and it's quick enough so the 7870 would be even faster, but of course it all depends on the price, what's he asking for it?

About $300 but keep in mind that I'm from Chile and a new one costs about $380-400 here.

My other option is a 660 ti, but that would be like $400-420.

I went ahead and nabbed the Grimrock coupon. I need something to play today and it's been on my wishlist for a while, might as well give it a shot.

Seeing as there's way more discount codes compared to people who actually want them, how about not spamming up the thread with codes and instead just posting to say that you have codes and ask people to PM you for them?

Id rather lurkers just get them. It's faster this way because even if I really wanted the game I don't have the effort to pm someone and wait and ask them for a discount code
