Guys, I'm having a problem here. If this game existed in a vacuum, I would absolutely say it looked beautiful. But, I seriously can't stop thinking about the Wii U's terrible specs...it's really hampering my enjoyment of this. It's making the graphics look worse.
thisisneogaf.gifSo let me get this straight :
Pictures that you would find beautiful look horrible to you because of some numbers on a spreadsheet?

Lighting from the fire is impressive. The depth of field looks nice, but I wonder how this would look if they used a tilt-shift effect.
Yeah, it's distressing. I mean, looking at the video I'm seeing that gorgeous lighting, the fantastic depth of field effects, the beautiful high-res textures...but in my mind all I can see is "1.24 GHz," "low-bandwidth DDR3," etc. I...I just think I could not possibly enjoy playing Pikmin 3 at all.

Those enemies were in pikmin 2 which released in 2004.The fire breathing things in the cave remind me of the fire breathing crabs in Dark Souls. Anyone else think so?
Bubble trapped pikmin is horrible. Horrible! I felt bad watching them float away like that
I hate that crab.

You don't have to lose any Pikmin. Though I can appreciate that it makes the game far harder (and probably less enjoyable for some). One reason I hate playing Pikmin. This is why I love Pikmin Adventures because they just respawn. A lot more enjoyable.
Still doesn't look as good as I was expecting from a next gen Pikmin, but I guess I need to be more realistic. It does look nice though.

They need to have footage of a better player instead of watching all the pikmin die.
He's joking.
I never let more than 3 die. Pikmin 2 was the hardest game I played on the GameCube.I fully intend to let Pikmin get chomped more this time, my ocd in the dungeons in 2 consumed too much time.
Looks aren't everything but why does this look like a game cube game?
