That preview got me hyped, all those arrows and women!
Supernatural's fanbase are mostly female viewers who will raise their pitchforks whenever a new female character comes to ruin their dream ship of either Dean/Sam (gross) or Dean/Castiel (cute friendship but as a gay guy I just don't see the sexual tension that the fangirls are blabbing about). I will forever blame the fangirls for getting rid of Katie Cassidy as Ruby and we ended up getting an even worse Ruby and then they complained about it even more. And then there was Jo, who I thought had a sweet chemistry with Dean, but of course the fangirls didn't want to have any of it.
I swear I will knock a magazine rack if they go ahead with this Owen/Alex BS on Nikita though.
As for this show, here's a promo for the next episode (mid season finale), "Year's End":

im not into the shipping thing but Owen/Alex with some groundwork laid would be infinitely preferable to Shaun/Alex.
but then again i groan every time Shaun shows up on the screen. just an awful, unnecessary character.
Colton Haynes ("Teen Wolf") has joined the cast of the CW's "Arrow", TV Guide reports. He'll play none other than longtime Green Arrow sidekick Roy Harper.
First appearing under the name Speedy in 1941's "More Fun Comics" #73, Harper has also been known as the superhero Arsenal and, for a time, Red Arrow. The official description for the TV version of Harper calls him, "a handsome, street-savvy, teenager from 'the Glades,' the harsh, poverty-stricken portion of Starling City."
It is also noted that Haynes will serve as a love interest for Thea Queen (Willa Holland).
"Arrow" also stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, Colin Donnell as Tommy, Susanna Thompson as Moira Queen and Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance. The show airs on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Yeah, sometimes I'm embarrassed to watch Supernatural due to how the female viewers influence the show. But I thought Cassidy was let go only because of budget reasons?
But yes, Jo getting put on a bus because of the crazy female fans was annoying. On the bright side, they probably helped rid us of Bela, who was just the absolute worst.
That's probably part of the reason but I was in the midst of fandom back then and the reactions to her character were just vile. There were constant demands to kill her character, claiming that another actress would have done better in the role. Then of course, they cast Cortese in Cassidy's place, and the fans got even angrier especially when they found out about her new relationship with Sam.
I'm really convinced now that Bela was awful mostly thanks to the writing and directing choice because Lauren Cohan shows some serious acting chops as Maggie Greene in "The Walking Dead" this season. I don't think Supernatural writers knew what they wanted to do with Bela and just made up the characterization as they went along.
In some ways the producer of "Supernatural" are to blame for coddling the fans and resorting to their demands instead of writing the story the way they want it to be written. As a result, we now end up with a show that is recycling the same problem for the Winchester over and over again. Because the fans refuse to see either character to move on in a direction that does not involve each other.
Anyway, back onto this show, I hope the writers have a plan for some kind of an arc for the series. At this point, the story is a bit all over the place with no cohesive direction as to where it's heading. I mean, they can only go on for so long with those notebook names.
Color me confused.

It will be interesting to see what they do with the Roy Harper character in this universe.

They're going to be the prettiest, most in shapecrime fightingrandom henchmen murdering duo.
Wow.
Well, I guess he's not returning to Teen Wolf.
So this means we're getting the junkie sidekick after all?
I'm more worried about the love interest part. The last thing this show needs is more romance angst.
What channel was it on? My CW had the Sandy Benefit concert.

My DVR didn't record it =(
the identity of the dark archer....SHOCKING
Gotta agree. But eventually she'll either die or be on his side anyways.Damn, Ollie got his ass kicked. I cringed when he landed on those broken arrows in his back.
And I'll say this again. They missed a good opportunity with the IT girl when they made Ollie this super technical badass (who apparently can't use Bing search) who can make explosive arrows and chain arrows and hack shit and make a super untraceable phone. She should have been brought in early and done this kind of stuff for him. Ollie would be the brute, Diggs the backup, and hot IT girl the tech whiz

I think he oversold it a bit (Dexter Season 4 spoiler).
Still, great episode. Looking forward to the return next year.

As usual, I have to try and overlook the fact that the police somehow magically can't surround a building or set up a perimeter of any sort allowing anyone through on the other side to do as they please, or in this case, letting a man rescue the vigilante they've wanted for ages.
I love this show for what it is and it's growing on me more and more, but that shit always makes me laugh.
And why do I see more chemistry between Thea and Oliver than Laurel and Oliver? That's not saying much though since there's not much at all between the latter.
We saw Thea in a bra and it was good.My god I've had so many un-pure thoughts this episode.
Great episode. The Dark Archer as a villain is awesome. So brutal. And the duel was just so much fun to watch.
Also..dat Batman Begin reference when calling Dig for help
Cause you ain't blind. It's so obvious they wanna jump each other's bones the second the camera's not rolling.
