I hope they find a way to make games like ZU still work off screen only. Perhaps they switch to split screen when you are in your inventory...or a little window showing you (just a PIP of the second screen).

It could definitely work...not ideal, but playable.

Should've just called it Wii 2 instead of Wii U and the confusion would have been solved.

It's not like there's much of a sound difference between Wii U and Wii Two anyways. Oh well.

Has a new console launch ever had such availablity on xmas eve? The black one is in stock in 3 stores close to me, and the white one is in stock at 8 close to me. Don't get me wrong its great cause I'll be buying one this week, I just don't remember seeing a new console this available during its first holiday.

To those having trouble connecting to wifi, check where your wii u is sitting. I once had mine under a bed and it disconnected every 5 minutes. Nothing else was in the room, electronic wise. It just did not like the position. You may have to elevate it in your entertainment center. Mine doesn't like the bottom shelf.

Asked this in the Wii-Wii U transfer thread but thought I would more likely get a response in this thread:

Can you use 2 SD cards to have your Wii game saves on both systems? What I mean: copy all your Wii saves to a SD card, use a completely separate SD card to do the transferring (which results in everything getting deleted from the card and original Wii), then use the first SD card with the saves on it to copy them back onto the original Wii?

Jesus christ..Lots of downloading going to be happening. If I downloaded something with my connection it may literally take week.

I'm actually dreading this, I just downloaded mighty switch force 3DS, and noticed the 3DS eshop was slow, took about ten minutes (it's never takes that long) Worse part? I forgot to download Trine 2!! Gonna cross my fingers and start it as soon as the kids go to bed.

Alright my cards worked finally! Downloading Mario, Sonic Transformed, Nano Assault and Little Inferno. Should be done by tonight... maybe.

Ok so I'm an idiot. I thought that because NSMBWU worked in English on my Spanish Wii U then other games would allow me to switch to English! Just bought Black Ops 2 and saw that I can't change the language. I'm assuming it will be the same with Zombi U if I buy it off the eShop (as in it would be in Spanish only)?

I think I should sell my Euro Wii U and buy an American one as I'm leaving Spain soon anyway (T_T).

EDIT: I'm also assuming that it's easy to format the Wii U before selling it so that the buyer could use their own Nintendo ID etc?

Mine was disconnecting every 3 seconds until I changed my router's channel to 11.

43% I am hurting! I would have downloaded sooner but my checking account was not cleared until today damn these xmas presents people on my servers :|

I guess in some parts of the world its december 25th a large number of Wii Us will be downloading updates and shopping on eShop in the next 24 hours. It should be as bad as November 18th if Nintendo did not bother to plan ahead

Hmm would that really work? Black Ops 2 says on the box that it's "completely in Spanish" though (only noticed it now). So that wouldn't work. The saves yes, the wiiware/eshop games however can't be copy back again.

Sorry, I was referring to your future purchases, not the Blops one - that one's done. Yes, the GB and the PL stores (and the DE one, for that matter) both take foreign CCs. And that holds true for the 3DS eShops as well.

I've finally got an HD TV and it had to happen, overscan issue for me... Thankfully not too crucial, I guess there's like 1cm or less missing on each side of the TV.

Look for a zoom, 1:1 pixel, pixel perfect, just scan, full pixel or similarly named option: If you bought a new HDTV, chances are good that you'll be able to disable overscan. Do this for any other console's input as well, as overscan reduces image quality.

If you can't find anything, try searching for your TV's model number & "disable overscan" on Google. There may be a hidden service menu that can be utilized to enable 1:1 display.

Well, now there is two WiiU's in my house. Basic and Deluxe. Started BLOPS2 on the basic but my wife will using that for her games, Netflix and surfing the internet. Deluxe will be ZombiU, Ninja Gaiden (soon), and AC3. Probably will start from scratch on the deluxe for BLOPS2.

Now I'm curious -- is there no way to change the region and get the localized version? I thought you could do that on the 3DS -- change regions and redownload the local version of a specific title.

Thanks, I thought I just had accept it, but now I've gone searching a bit actually found some huge ass button that has ,,Overscan'' crossed out :lol
