Videogame facts that blow your mind (SuperMarioBros. SHOCKING SECRET INSIDE p #70)

Probably already known. But the praise the sun animation in dark souls comes from the special animation when casting miracles when wearing the ring of sincere prayer in demon's souls.

Hate to sound lazy, but do you have a direct link to this? I don't recall using that item, and its been a long time since I played DS...

Vicent's running and throwing animations along with the boxer theme and some cutscenes in his Catherine endings might be inspired by Ghost and Goblins.

in the original US SMB manual, the bricks scattered around the Mushroom Kingdom are described as the Mushroom people turned into stone via black magic. That's kinda disturbing for me

Just saw this on the gaming section of Reddit : the Xbox 360 S model has a Kensington security lock. Never realized this, I thought it was part of the construction of the unit.

This might be common knowledge, but it blew my mind today while I was playing on the bus...

The trial system in Chrono Trigger comes about indirectly due to your actions.

Yeah I probably figured that out when I was 11 (sorry to be that guy but it's true.. it's kinda blatant).

That's time travel stories 101 for ya... the main characters always accidentally cause the necessary events of the future. It's like BttF and Chuck Berry's cousin listening to Marty play Johnny B. Goode "I think I've got that new sound you've been looking for!"

Or when the Doctor went back to Torchwood Estate and met Queen Victoria who founded the Torchwood Institute as a direct result of her encounter with the Doctor and the evil that seems to follow him everywhere.

How about this then:
The cats that escape in the time gate at the end of the game are the cats that you see throughout time during your playthrough. http://i.imgur.com/6zWoo.png

Posted on Reddit today and I hadn't seen it in here - the courses in Wii Sports Golf are the same courses from Golf on the NES.

the other inputs "that look like the audio inputs on the back of your computer" are actually component inputs.

No they're not. The "red" port is actually pink, lacks the metallic rim, and the order should be Green, Blue, Red if they were actually meant to be component.

You're right. However, they're the same size of the composite/L-R audio on the other side. They clearly just mirrored the sides and colored them differently.

Which is even weirder. Why would they have a Speaker Out, Line-In and Mic-In along with Composite audio and L/R RCA audio? If they took the time to model them, why not model them properly?

Sure, we're discussing why does Samus ships have audio/video inputs, but yeah... :D

I have to disagree, the inputs on either side look pretty different to me, doesn't look like a case of mirrored/recoloured parts to me.

Also if you notice the two thruster type parts at the back of the ship look like speakers. So I guess the idea is that what that model is, it doubles as a tv/pc or something? Weird little touch.
