February WrassleGAF |BO-T| And Bo-ing is Half the Battle

Am I being blasphemous when I say I just don't give a fuck about the Undertaker?

I can't even fill out a list of my Top 5 Undertaker moments.
- Ministry was cool for a hot minute
- That time when he was "buried alive" in a mid-90s PPV only to appear on a video and scare the shit out of someone (Yokozuna? Kamala?)
- First feud with Kane
- ...
- erm...

1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2VY4H_kEzQ - Debut at Survivor Series
2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGFAwORSDlE - Undertaker v Yokozuna
3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFt1hjBHgsw - Undertaker v Shawn Michaels
4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnTzOtNdUEU - Undertaker v Kane
5. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vv8gk29-eYI - Undertaker Judgment Day Return

Bonus - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSUOp5fGTEg - Cain The Undertaker?!

Yeah, not really much for a 20 year career :\

I couldn't be less enthused to see Punk/Taker at Mania knowing 2 things:

1. Their matches before were simply "ok"
2. Taker wins lol

WCW News
========

- Cruiserweight Tag Team Title retired (with only 2 winners to it's history). Simply put there's not enough TV Time to have several different titles, especially 2 different tag titles.
- WCW sign an exclusive deal with FOX. WCW Saturday Night to air on F/X from Summer Season 2001.
- WCW Saturday Night will air Saturday Afternoons on F/X in a 1 hour time slot. The deal will see Fox cover 10% of the production, with 70% of advertisment revenue going their way in return. The original deal will see a pilot of 24 episodes produced.
- WCW agree contract with RVD and Don Callis
- A blow to WCW as Setanta Sports follow InDemand and reject PPV discussions.
- However both GlobeCast WorldTV and Bright House agree to contract talks over a possible PPV Deal. Not the 'ideal' networks to broadcast PPVs on, as GlobeCast WorldTV is a foreign carrier, known mainly for Arabic and Asian shows, and Bright House are under the Time Warner umbrella. Perhaps no one told them about WCW. However, GlobeCast WorldTV do cover the entire of the North America (USA and Canada), while Bright House only covers the USA. It would also mean WCW PPVs would return.
- WCW Sign an initial 6 month deal with PPV Carrier GlobeCast WorldTV, with 90% of the revenue generated going to GlobeCast WorldTV.

How to fit all these wrestlers on one 1 hour show a week?
Why are the WWF resigning all these former stars?!

HBK, Nash, Sid, and AJ Styles running rough shot all over WCW as the Kliq would be awesome!

I have a small idea in the back of my mind, and I think HBK would work well in it. It's a little bit stolen from ECW (but then wasn't everything?). Forgot Sid had broken his leg, so he's out for a year! No idea what to do with Nash. I need to look after Styles!

You should get rid of Nash before you try to get HBK, otherwise I'm sure it will be hard to get rid of Nash.

Yeah, that's the danger. Nash will cost $800k to release at the moment. I'm hoping that if I freeze him from shows he'll get annoyed and threaten to leave or something.

WCW SHOWS
=========

July Week 1 2001

WCW Saturday Night (1 hour show on F/X)
Commentary Team: Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay & Stevie Ray.

12,712 in attendance @ Cole Field House

- The show opens with Eric Bischoff in the ring. He addresses the WCW fans and explains the events of the previous 6 months leading up to his eventual purchase of WCW. He's in control, but he promises that things will be different. It's back to basics. Back to the wrestling. No more power hungry Owners. No more super groups. No more lies. Bischoff puts over 4 members of the WCW Roster: Air Paris, Air Styles, Elix Skipper & Kid Romeo. (C+)

- Tag Match: Air Raid v Elix Skipper & Kid Romeo
In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Air Raid defeated Elix Skipper & Kid Romeo in 10:18 when Air Styles defeated Kid Romeo by pinfall with a Styles Clash. (D)

- Booker T comes down to the ring with both titles (one over each shoulder). While he's sad not to be defending the US Title, he respects Bischoff's decision to showcase WCW talent, and promotes the 'Fight for the Gold' tournament that will take place for the US Title. (C+)

- Singles Match 'Fight for the Gold' Billy Kidman v Chavo Guererro Jr.
In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Billy Kidman defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr. in 9:50 by pinfall with a Shooting Star Press. (D+)

- Booker T makes his way to the ring again, this time to hold an interview with Mean Gene Okerlund. Booker talks about defending the WCW Title, representing WCW and it's fans and above all else... keeping it real. No more mad power tripping suckas holding the title hostage. To prove a point he says he's going to defend the title right here right now against someone who deserves it... Someone who has wrestled for years without much fan fare or respect... Mike Awesome. (D+)

- WCW Heavyweight Title Match: Mike Awesome v Booker T (c)
In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Booker T defeated Mike Awesome in 14:39 by pinfall with a Missile Dropkick. Booker T makes defence number 1 of his WCW World Heavyweight title.

---

- Dark Match: Johnny The Bull v Fit Finlay
In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Fit Finlay defeated Johnny the Bull in 10:19 by pinfall with a Tombstone Piledriver. (D-)
- Dark Match: Lash LeRoux v Cash
In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Lash LeRoux defeated Cash in 10:16 by submission. (E+)

Rating 0.28 on F/X (1 = 450,000 viewers)

(TEW13 says a somewhat underwhelming show! I'm inclined to agree, so many people and so much 'history' to cram into a 60 minute show. This might be harder then I thought... plus side is the announce team were great and pretty much lifted every segment.)

Can Eric Bischoff be trusted?
Will WCW return to it's 'roots' and showcase some traditional wrestling, alongside a modern talent?
No more power hungry Owners? No more Super Groups? No more Lies?
Who will win the 'Fight for the Gold' and claim the US Title at The Great American Bash in 4 weeks time?

You guys forgot about Power Trip era when Undertaker got them in the ambulance
Oddly this is something I remember now and then, Taker threw Austin through a window leading to it, Taker's surprise driving seat reveal quote this time was something lame like "HELLO BOYS!"

"My name is Stone Cold Steve Austin and I do not deserve this!"

Is there any one guy who has been involved with so many great and hilariously terrible moments in wrestling history as The Undertaker?
