The comic starts out in Southern California with Yoshi driving a truck with a load of cookies to the princess's castle.
No, the stories were written in Germany and then drawn in Japan. Were these strips drawn by actual German artists?
Salsa, I love you for finding these. Hahaha!
Wario cutting a deal with the devil, beautiful.
And the name Ash, just noticed it, too. So many references that a kid wouldn't normally understand.

WTF? so that aberration is official?
Wait, was that a magazine? I don't understand shit.
Why were these not the basis of Brawl's story?
Club Nintendo was Nintendo of Europe's official promotion magazine in Germany. They included those comics in there free magazines and also produced promotion comics specially for the release of some games (see my post above). All comics were written in Germany and drawn in Japan only for the German market.WTF? so that aberration is official?

You should all learn about the aweful (as in: full of awe) German translations we got for RPGs. Expect references to sex, German soap operas, random naming for NPCs... they completely changed the tone for many scenes.
the image of wario making a deal with satanic goat might be my new favorite thing
Exhibit B:
Please note the phrase "Yoshit" and the baywatch cameo.
