Dat uncanny valley.
I actually thought it did a pretty great job overcoming that. Not perfect by any means but about the closest I've ever seen in a video game.
Dat uncanny valley.
I'm actually really looking forward to Willem Dafoe's performance in this game.
Watch
I don't see how this is any worse than any other video game on the market, the VA is solid.
There will be many more games coming to PS3 still I'm sure.
That's my main concern. The game looks great and very intense too, but will it be an actual game or a glorified interactive cutscene? We'll see, this is from the first hour of the game so it's surely to early to decide.I think Cage is one of the most insufferable, pretentious windbags in the business, but if he and his team manage to make an actual Adventure game this time instead of Act 2 of Improv Dinner Theater at the Waffle House, I'll stay interested.
Yeah, like Last Guardian, right? RIGHT?

You use a controller... The hell is going on with all these trolling?
gran turismo 6 will probably be the big swan song
and Wild Arms 6 will be the 1st party JRPG swan song
okay so i just watched it. i'm sure a lot of it is weird taken out of context, but there aren't a whole lot of lines that scream they're better than heavy rain or kara. on the plus side, the voice talent sounds overall like an improvement.
i think the worst part about the trailer is just where it premiered and how it further expands david cage's already overinflated hubris.
Just watched about 15 minutes on the stream. Wow. The gameplay really is just the absolute bare minimum of interaction here, one single action QTE and two branching conversations. I'd heard people criticize these games as being barely interactive cutscenes, but I had no idea. I'm actually shocked.
That said, it seems interesting and I've never played any of this dude's games. And it's fucking gorgeous. So it's a choose your own adventure, I'll give it a shot.
I enjoyed the trailer. If nothing else, the premise provides the potential for interesting gameplay opportunities.
'ooh' and 'ahh'- that's how it starts. but then there's running, and screaming.
You say that as if 99% of the video game industry's workforce wasn't working on Facebook /iOS games or Generic Dance Game #69 instead of AAA behemoths such as GTA or Assassin's CreedIt must feel terrible to have to work on a game like this and put in a bunch of effort on stuff when the script is so bad.
Ghosts are pretty dumb. Just about everything in the extended session seemed super binary but thank goodness there is always a ghost to save the day. The Geist stuff is so out of place too.

Those can be mechanically fun or interesting. Can this? You say that as if 99% of the video game industry's workforce wasn't working on Facebook /iOS games or Generic Dance Game #69 instead of AAA behemoths such as GTA or Assassin's Creed
People working on some of those games seem to be really, really happy. You say that as if 99% of the video game industry's workforce wasn't working on Facebook /iOS games or Generic Dance Game #69 instead of AAA behemoths such as GTA or Assassin's Creed
I can't stop laughing at the comments.
And this dude is a master troll or someone with issues.
